Two years ago, Lorrie’s mother was murdered. But that wasn’t the end of it. Reeling from the tragedy, Lorrie’s father spiraled into alcohol, depression, and finally suicide.
The two most important people in Lorrie’s life are both gone but she’s still alive.
Trying to recover from the tragedy, Lorrie returns to campus, ready to pick up the pieces of her life. All Lorrie wants is to get back to “normal.”
Then she meets Hunter. The man, the legend, “The Hammer.”
Hunter is a cage fighter who takes on every fight like he’s got nothing to lose. His life is a tangled mess of girls, booze, and fist fights. And while it may seem like he’s got a devil-may-care attitude, he’s fighting a private cage-match with a monster he can’t defeat.
Lorrie knows that Hunter is exactly the type of guy she should stay away from, especially in her fragile state, but Hunter has other ideas.
As Hunter and Lorrie grow closer together, will they be able to overcome their pain and heal each other? Or will they both end up wrecked?

Excerpt
When I stepped into the living room, my jaw dropped at the sight of him naked.
“Oh, I’m sorry!” I quickly turned away but not before the sight of him was seared into my memory. Images of carved muscles and exotic tattoos danced across my mind.
“Wow, that was quick. I thought you’d be in there longer.” I heard him laugh and the subsequent thud of his drenched sweats being thrown into a corner hamper. “You can turn around. I’m not naked, ya know. Unless you consider being shirtless as naked.”
I turned around and noticed he had a white towel around his waist. His torso was still fully bare though. Tattoos ran along the side of his chest and extended down his arm. They were mostly a mix of tribal designs but one tattoo stood out for
me. A picture of a large hammer was boldly etched on his upper arm. An unwelcome desire flittered in my stomach as I imagined running my fingertips over the inked lines.
I wasn’t opposed to seeing him shirtless at all. Not. At. All.
I forced myself to make eye contact with him, but was surprised to find him not doing the same. His eyes were wide, and they were roaming down and up my freshly showered body.
When his eyes finally met mine, his lips curved wickedly. “You clean up well.”
My cheeks flushed. “Thanks,” I replied, slightly uncomfortable. “I feel a lot better without all that lake gunk on me. I really appreciate the clothes, although they might be a little big for me.” I gestured to the jeans that were threatening to fall down my hips.
He looked me over again, dark eyes subtly lingering at certain parts: thighs, chest, lips. “No, you look good—real good.” His hand gestured to the couch. “Have a seat. I’ll get you some warm tea and a belt. I can get you back to your place after I wash up.”
He grabbed my wet clothes from me and set them down on the kitchen counter while I took a seat on his couch. I thought
it’d be a relief to sit down and relax but I found myself tense and restless, wondering who this guy was and what I’d gotten myself into by agreeing to come to his place.
He went into the kitchen and brought me a cup of tea. It smelled fragrant and spicy and the hot mug felt good in my hands, calming my nerves temporarily. I sipped slowly, enjoying the fluid warming up my chest as he went into his bedroom to search for a belt. Moments later, he returned.
“Thank you so much,” I said as he handed me the belt and sat down on the edge of the coffee table inches away from me.
He, in his shirtless glory, carefully watched me bring the cup of tea to my lips. I brought the edge to my mouth but didn’t drink, too distracted by the desire to touch my lips against the soft skin of those hard pecs right in front of me. I flicked my gaze to his to avoid staring at his chest. The concerned way he studied me with those dark irises matching the color of his damp hair was making me squirm in my seat. Not to mention the peripheral view of that towel around his waist was approaching scandalous. He didn’t cross his legs like I would if I were wearing a skirt and I fought the urge to snag a glance down at that distinctly male area. But it was hard to resist. Was this what it was like to be on the other end of someone trying to cop a peek up your skirt?
“How’s the tea?”
His voice interrupted my thoughts and I hurriedly swallowed a big gulp that burned my throat going down. “Very good, thanks,” I choked. “I feel bad you had to go to so much trouble to make it though. Sorry for being such a burden.”
“. . . Polite too.” He grinned. “Don’t worry about it. It was no trouble at all.” His demeanor was almost the opposite of what it had been at the lake—it was relaxed and warm now. But then again so was mine. The feeling of almost dying must be wearing off for both of us.
“Are you going to have some yourself?” I asked, uncomfortable with how he was just sitting there. Right there. Half naked in front of me with a ‘V’ shaped muscle around his pelvis tempting my eyes to look down to where the slanted lines met. Wasn’t he going to take his shower?
“Probably in a bit.”
Seeing him in no hurry to leave, I wracked my brain for a conversation topic. “So . . .” I looked down at the shirt I was wearing and pinched the lettering to try to end the silence. “Are you in the Air Force?”
He paused for a second longer than I was expecting. “No, I’m just a student. Senior, actually. You go to school here too?”
I nodded. “Yeah, sophomore.”
“Cool. So why did you come to campus so early?”
“I thought it’d be good to have some time by myself to prepare for the semester. You know, mentally prepare and all that.”
He nodded. “Alone time, yeah. Helps to work things out on your own sometimes. People can be stressful, especially at this school where people like to gossip. I swear it’s like every student’s minor here.”
I wondered if his comment was specifically directed toward me and my circumstances. Did he know who I was and my reputation? “Yeah, I’m not too interested in rumors. They’re often wrong anyway.” I shifted my legs and happened to briefly brush against his. I felt my nipples tighten from the unintentional intimate contact.
His eyes narrowed and he glanced at the offending leg. He looked at me for a while, apparently deep in thought. When his eyes glanced down at my chest, I saw an intense flicker in those dark irises—or was it a spark? “Haven’t met anyone here who doesn’t like gossip,” he said smoothly. “You do know you’re at Arrowhart right? Gossip is big here. It’s only normal that you’d be interested.”
“Yeah, I know,” I replied. And boy did I know. “But maybe I’m not normal.”
The smile he gave had an edge to it that made me uncomfortable and aroused at the same time. “I’d say so as well. Seeing imaginary cats and falling into frozen lakes isn’t exactly normal,” he teased, before his voice lowered intimately. “But then again, normal’s boring.”
A heated ache moved through me. Was it my imagination or was he flirting with me? It didn’t seem like he realized who I was. I noticed again how unusually neat the place was. Did he have a girlfriend that cleaned for him? Or his mom? “So do you live here by yourself?” My voice came out huskier than I intended and I cleared my throat, hoping he didn’t notice.
He smiled. “Yeah, I get plenty of alone time here.”
I found that difficult to believe given his devilish good-looks. It would be easier for me to believe if he’d said he had a ticket system for girls lining up outside his apartment door. Maybe even a BYOC policy—Bring Your Own Condom. That could explain the contents of his bathroom trash.
I forced another gulp down my throat, uncomfortable with how being so near him made me restless. “What do you like to do in your alone time?”
“In my alone time?” He cocked a brow and looked at me with curiosity.
I glanced at his sculpted chest because I couldn’t help myself. “Yeah, like when no one’s around, just in private.” I was thinking about how I liked to mope and draw in my alone time and was hoping to find common ground between us. He probably didn’t sit on icy bridges in his alone time but maybe he did something relatable so I could convince him I wasn’t just some depressed girl trying to kill herself.
A glint in his eye, his grin widened. “What do I like to do in my alone time?”he repeated, suggestively. “Oh, just the usual stuff guys do when they’re by themselves. You know, normal stuff.”
Oh no. Was I flirting with him? I’d unintentionally said something that could’ve been interpreted as a reference to his masturbation routine. God, how awkward. This was not my lucky day. I glanced at his towel and noticed a towering bulge that hadn’t been there before. My face flushed. Shit, did I do that?

3 GIRLS AND AN ORGASM
Under His Control – Book 1 Rebecca Dawson’s day couldn’t get any worse, could it?
Backing out of a parking space in an underground garage, she puts a dent in a perfectly restored black BMW. Her first thought was to keep on driving. She couldn’t afford the repair bill or the hike in her insurance premiums. But her conscience wouldn’t allow her to just walk away. She reported the accident and waited to face the consequences. Why?
Because Rebecca always obeyed the rules.
Quinton Sanders had a little ‘kink’ to his personality. He enjoyed teaching a woman what she wanted, and how he wanted her. Trouble was, the last woman he’d wanted hadn’t learned to obey all the rules.
Thankfully fate intervened and he got a second chance with the woman he loved and longed to pleasure.
He had her Under His Control.
WARNING: This book contains material intended for mature audiences only.
This is an erotic novella of approximately 18+ pages
EXCERPT:
Quinton finally had the woman he loved exactly where he wanted her. Well, not exactly where he wanted her. He wanted her in his cottage by the lake where they could have complete privacy and he could have access to all his instruments of pleasure. There was so much he wanted to introduce her to.
Everything at the cottage and in the office was brand new, bought and installed just days before she had walked away from him. He’d wanted everything fresh and untainted, just like he envisioned their life together.
He stood behind her, rubbing her shoulders as she started to twist and turn. “Shhh, sweetheart.”
Rebecca’s fear and anticipation made her struggle all the more. “I do not want this, you sonofabitch. I never wanted this.”
God, she was lying. She’d always wanted this, but never dared admit it to any of her partners in the past. She was not promiscuous. In fact she was very selective, always searching for that
exclusive something. For the man who would take control of her body and give her what she wanted, dominance by a man. She knew that man was Quinton.
Tugging at the chains that held her captive, she glared at him. “Since when do you have to tie your women up?”
“You know why I tie my women up, Becky. You know why I need to tie you up.”
A wave of heat spread through her body, settling low, preparing her for him and what he was about to do to her body.
“You know I would never hurt you.”
That was true. She trusted Quinton more than she’d ever trusted any man.
But trusting him and being mad as hell were two different things. She tried to twist around and knee him in groin.
Chuckling he stopped her movement, squeezing her leg tightly in warning. He turned her away from him and widened his legs to box her in and prevent any movement. He stroked her arms, running his hands across her shoulders, down her back then around the front of her body. He squeezed the abundance of her breasts. Posed as she was, her chest wall stretched, forcing her heavy breasts to be almost perky. She jerked at the chains.
“Don’t struggle. I don’t want to tie your feet. You need some flexibility for what I want to do to you.”

Tara Price exuded composure and confidence in her job as a paralegal to the handsome and sexy Noah Greyson, even when he failed to see her as anything other than an office accessory. But she had her fantasies. Her hot, wild, panty-drenching fantasies…
Noah Greyson made it a practice to never mix business with pleasure. But he was finding it hard – in more ways than one–to keep his mind, and his hands, off of his new paralegal. When he discovers her panties in the office bathroom, the scrap of lace forces him to take a chance on pleasuring Tara.
This is an erotica short story of 18+ pages
WARNING: This material is intended for mature audiences only. This books contains hot office sex between a boss and his assistant
EXCERPT:
“What…what do you want me to do?”
Loosening his tie, he shed it quickly then efficiently flicked opened the buttons of his white dress shirt. He shrugged out of it and it followed the tie to the floor. Tara could hardly draw a breath. His chest was sculpted perfection, covered in a smattering of dark curls that arrowed downward to disappear beneath his belt.
“Take off your panties, please.”
Tara was beyond thinking about how surreal the situation was. She had the man of her dreams asking her to remove clothing and she wasn’t about to question it. Letting go of the desk, she inched her short skirt up, enjoying the way Noah’s eyes followed the progression as her skin was exposed.

High-powered attorney, Mike Delacorte was juggling his day job while working undercover for the FBI. He’d agreed to infiltrate a gang of bank robbers and help take them down. He hadn’t counted on his sassy, sexy, and oh-so-curvy paralegal getting caught in the crossfire. Now he had to claim her to keep her safe.

Anything he wants.

EXCERPT
As he let go, he bit her, making the skin sting, marking her. He took her mouth before she could protest.
His tongue scrapped against her teeth.
“Wider. Open your mouth wider.”
He thrust inside again.
“Open your goddamn mouth wider so I can taste you.”
“Don’t -“
He did.
Kiss her that is. Taking advantage of the moment, he thrust all the way, feeling like he was touching the back of her throat. Time for that later. He gripped her head, holding her still as he ravaged her mouth. Grinding his pelvis into hers, he humped.
He pulled her away from the cabinet and crushed her in his arms. One hand held her head against his shoulder as he continued to torture her ear, the other gathered the skirt of her dress, bunching it, searching for her panties so he could pull them down her legs.
Her butt cheek was bare and he growled. Holy, shit. His fantasy come true.
Just as his fingers touched the lace of her thong, a buzz from the outer office sounded, altering him to the fact that someone had stepped inside.

Gideon was tired of sleeping his way through the female population. But he doesn’t just want a loving wife – he wants an adventurous partner. Someone willing to walk on the wild side of love. And he knows just the woman.
When his demands on the curvy beauty are met with willing submission, will he be the one surrendering his heart

EXCERPT:
“Come here.” He hadn’t straightened from his relaxed position against the door, but she could
hear the steel in his voice.
She tried to speak again, but couldn’t. Well, what did you say when the man of your fantasies told you he wanted you, then ordered you into his arms?
Apparently stand there like a dunce because Daisy didn’t move.
Couldn’t.
“I told you I was going to have you. Now come here.”
She knew she must have the doe-in-the-headlight look on her face, because he smiled. Like a hunter about to pounce on his prey.
“Did that make your panties wet, Daisy?”
If only he knew.
She didn’t know what to do. Yeah, she could order him out and she was pretty certain if she sounded convincing enough he’d turn around and leave without a word. Trouble was, she didn’t think she’d sound convincing. All she wanted to do was walk into his arms.
“If you make me come to you, I’ll have to punish you for disobeying me.” This time he did straighten but neither made a move toward the other.
“Last chance, Daisy. If you don’t come here, I’m going to paddle that big, luscious ass of yours until it’s bright red.”
She groaned and clenched the edge of the credenza to keep from falling into a boneless heap against the floor.
“If that’s the way you want it.” He took a step toward her, then another. “I’m real glad you want it that way, baby. Cause I like nothing better than making my woman obey.”

EXCERPT (FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY)
“I want to teach you how to behave.” His eyes were half closed and the atmosphere in the room shifted. They both knew he was not offering to send her to a seminar on customer service.
She tried not to gape at him like a landed fish. Did he mean what she thought he meant? She never imaged he was a dominant. Not that she knew exactly what that meant. And she certainly never
imagined he’d ask her to be his submissive. He had beautiful women coming and going in and out of his life so fast she was surprised he didn’t have a revolving door in his bedroom.
“You want to tie me up and spank me?” She couldn’t control the sarcasm and didn’t even try
“I definitely want to spank you, Miss Trent.”
The graphic image evoked by his quietly spoken words caused her thighs to clench and she tried not to visibly squirm on the chair. She’d thought of her boss often in those terms, but never in her wildest dreams did she ever think that he ever thought about her. “Would we…where would we, uh, go?
“Do you have visions of crossbars and chains Miss Trent? Submission and domination is not about inflicting pain. To me it is about control.”
“I know.” Macy snorted indelicately. “Men want to control women, especially when they’re having sex.” She couldn’t believe she could sit here with her boss and talk about the subject of sex as casually as if they were discussing the weather.
“Tisk, tisk, Miss Trent. Sex itself is control. Men decide when and where sex is going to take place. During the prelude and the act itself we decide when and where to touch you. Whether we fondle your breasts or see how wet you are. We tell you when to spread your legs and we decide how hard we’re going to pound our dicks inside you. Stroke after stroke.”
She couldn’t control the blush staining her cheeks. Just thinking of him doing all those things to her made her panties wet.
This was definitely not what she’d expected when he’d called her into his office.
“Nothing to say? A first for you, Miss Trent.”
As her lips parted to speak, he held up a finger. “Don’t spoil it now. You dress in those baggy suits and dresses because you’re uncomfortable with your body.”
Damn straight, she agreed silently. She wore a size eighteen. Most women were not comfortable in a body that size.
“I want to teach you about your body. I want to show you what you can endure and what drives you crazy. I want you to submit. To me.”

EXCERPT:
“Strip.”
Macy jumped at the commanding tone of his voice, disarmed by the sudden change in his demeanor. Last night he’d been tender, almost caring, taking her until she begged him to stop. He hadn’t, of course. He’d teased and tormented her, but there had been no cold demands. Nor had she felt that he was emotionally absent. As he was now. This was Logan in full blown Dom mode.
She removed her clothes slowly, her jeans and blouse, then her bra and the matching green thong.
“Come here.” He took her hand and led her further into the room. Within minutes she was positioned in the harness to his satisfaction. He removed his clothes in short order then stepped back to look at her.
“Relax, Macy.” He was so close she could feel the warmth radiating off his skin. The room was cooler than the rest of the apartment and the slight chill made her nipples tighten. His playroom was chilly, deliberately she knew.
His voice was low and deep, commanding. He was deeply into the dominate mode. His grey eyes had darkened, taking on an almost black hue in his excitement. He was incredibly aroused, his breathing shallow and uneven, as if he were forcing himself to maintain control.
The fact that he was as turned on as she was made her shiver with anticipation. She knew a dom/sub relationship was all about control. She’d learned that much. What had taken her some time to understand was that most of the control was in her hands. She wondered if Logan realized she understood that now. Was that why he was pushing her so hard tonight?
The harness swayed slightly as he stepped behind her.

Santa Claus is coming to town…Maybe he is, but Zoey wants more than some mythological figure sliding down her chimney—she needs a real man and she’s tired of waiting. But big girls like Zoey don’t get the sexy hunk and the happily-ever-after.Or do they?
Nick Strong had been attracted to his best friend’s little sister from the first moment he’d laid eyes on her. But she was off limits so he’d kept his distance. Until this year when David begs him to do a favor and keep Zoey from being lonely since she can’t get home for the holidays.
Would David approve of his method for making sure the curvaceous beauty didn’t wake up alone on Christmas morning?
This is a short erotic story of approximately 9,500 words
WARNING: This material is intended for mature audiences only. It contains explicit language, holiday romance and a happy-ever-after.
EXCERPT:
It was four days before Christmas and he had accomplished what David wanted – Zoey would not be alone for the Christmas holidays. He just hoped his best friend would understand when he found out how Nick planned on fulfilling his promise.
On his way to her apartment, he’d stopped and bought another bouquet of roses along with a bottle of wine. He didn’t know what they’d be having for dinner, but he knew for a fact what he planned on having for dessert.
Zoey spread out before him with the wine running in rivulets across her breasts and down her mound. He wanted nothing more than to lick her from head to toe and taste all those sweet places in between.
She greeted him at the door dressed in a tight pair of jeans clinging to her bottom like a loving hand. Her sweater was made of a light weight knit with a layered collar and a neckline that plunged down the middle of her chest, revealing the sides of her breasts. If she had on a bra, he could detect no sign of it.
“So are you ready for this pity date?”
Nick stepped across the threshold and backed her against the wall before the words left her mouth. “Let me make one thing perfectly clear. This is not a pity date. This is a date with a man who finds you very, very attractive. Understand?”
He moved closer, allowing her to feel the affect she was having on him. He’d spent every day since David had asked him to look up his baby sister in a constant state of arousal.
Her eyes widened and he almost rethought his whole plan. This was David’s little sister. A woman who was almost ten years his junior. A woman who probably had very limited experience in the bedroom. He knew she hadn’t dated much before college, and he’d only ever heard of one serious relationship during college. Granted, he’d tried not to listen to the details about her life, but he was pretty certain David, being the overprotective big brother that he was, would have told him all about it.
“Any more questions?” Looking at her flushed face and beautiful brown eyes he realized he’d been a stupid, stupid man not to have pursued this attraction years ago.

EXCERPT:
“First, you going to have to convince her you love her. You do love her, don’t you?”
Jake growled.
Robert chuckled. “That’s not going to be easy. You’re going to have to wear down her resistance. She’ll be convinced you’re only after her for sex and sex just for something new.”
Again, another frown from his son.
Robert sighed, how had his boy lived so long and not realize what made women tick. “Do I have to spell it out for you?”
Jake tossed the whiskey down in one gulp. “Apparently so,” he snapped.
“Sophie thinks you’re just bored. Trying something different in the bedroom. She doesn’t believe you find her attractive. Women have hang ups about what they look like. Skinny women want big boobs, big boobed women want small waists. Short women want to be tall,
tall women want to be short, women with curly hair-”
Jake held up a hand. “Okay, I get it. Sophie has some major hang ups because she’s not Cosmos’s body type of choice for women. She’s goddamn better looking than those skinny twigs they put on the covers.”
“Those skinny twigs are what you’ve been dating since you came to Anderson’s.
Especially the last four months. Skinny twigs no doubt Mary Ann has told her about in detail.”
“Well, shit.”
Jake motioned for another whiskey, a double this time. He told the man to keep ’em coming.
McQuade Jenner was a lone wolf.He didn’t need some antiquated idea of one mate for life messing up his perfect bachelor lifestyle. On any given night he could find a biker groupie–human or shifter–reckless enough for a one-time fling with a wolf. He could bed a woman when he felt the need and go home to the solitude he enjoyed. And that’s exactly what he’d intended to do the night Rose Spencer walked into his life–alone, wet, and trouble just waiting to happen. He’d never intended to get involved with the innocent Rose–she was a life-time commitment and McQuade didn’t do commitment. But what was a wolf protector supposed to do when the woman his wolf wanted was threatened by a low-life lion shifter?Rose Spencer wasn’t the bar-scene type. She’d never have stepped foot inside the shifter bar unless she’d been trying to protect her sister–again. When would she learn that Alice was quite capable of taking care of herself–and that she was the one suddenly in need of protection?
This is a title intended for mature audiences only and contains approximately 46,000 words.
EXCERPT:
Rose realized she’d made a grave mistake the moment she’d opened the bar’s metal door. Inside were roughly fifty men, and a handful of women. And not one of them was Alice. Why did that not surprise her? She’d probably already found a ride home, having hooked up with some other loser. Who else would she find in a biker bar?
Rose knew how to size up people, especially men. As an emergency room nurse, she’d learned that lesson quickly. Some of the men in the bar were humans but most were shifters. They were all big, bad men. And not in a sexy way. Well, maybe one of them was. The one lounging in a chair toward the back was quite possibly the handsomest man she’d ever seen—a ten in a room full of zeroes. He was smokin’ hot. The quick glance she’d had of his chiseled face and muscular arms had almost made her lose her breath. Everything about him was dark–from his hair and skin to his shirt and jeans. Not to mention the aura surrounding him. He was the epitome of tall, dark and handsome… to say nothing of dangerous.
Immediately her mind went there, wondering how all that testosterone would feel unleashed on her. She wasn’t very experienced but she wouldn’t even mind if he liked it a little rough. The thought of what else he might like sexually had her panties soaked in seconds.Lord, she wanted a bad boy just once!
NOTE
McQuade was not a story we were planning on writing. Synopsis
I want to tell you how great my life was. How I lived without regrets. With constant laughter. Without any tears. I want to tell you how I lived each moment to the fullest. How each breath I took was fresh and full of life. With eagerness. Without any fear.
I want to tell you all of that, but then my story would be masked with lies and not worth telling.
My life didn’t start until I left my past. And I left everything. My mother, my friends, my name.
My new name, the name everyone knows me by is Erin Lewis.
Four years after finding the courage to leave her hometown in Alabama, Erin is finally happy with where her life has led her. Not only is she secure in her environment, but the relationships she has formed center her, making her forget how damaged she once was. Before she can fully settle into her new life, her past crashes into her present, unraveling a set of events that destroy the very foundation she has built her new life on.

Life’s A Cappella has been nominated for Top Book of December 2013, and is currently #1.
I’m a Hispanic living in South Florida with my redneck husband from Texas and our “half breed” son, who is actually the reason I started writing again after years of celibacy. My son loves stories, but not the kind you can read in an existing book. No, he’d rather make up a story, complete with our own illustrations. So, thank you, Son, for igniting a flame I had let go out.
I also live with two dogs: a neurotic Border Collie we call Nitro and a midget Rottweiler named Nisa.
I have always found my sanctuary at the beach and in music and writing. I wish I could write rhymes so I could become a famous rapper, but rhyming is completely lost on me.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Human Resource Management. I have held several jobs, from picking up dog crap to upper management positions. And now I am hoping to leave the business world behind so I can live full time in a world that does not exist until I place my fingers on a keyboard and bring them to fruition.
I just finished reading, Life’s A Cappella by Yessi Smith. I have to be honest and admit that when signing up for this tour, chatting with author, and even after having her takeover my Facebook page for a day, I did not really know what this novel was about. Then I began reading the novel. At first I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not. Right off the first page we are introduced to this woman in her early twenties. She is telling us the readers, flat out that her life has been a struggle, that she has moved on and even changed her name. All in the hopes of starting a new life. A life with better memories, a life she can control.
Next we learn that she lives in Miami, Florida. Now this drew me a little deeper into the story-line. Florida is one of my favorite states. One can tell reading this novel and really understanding Erin, that the ocean is important to her . Even Erin mentions several times throughout the novel that the beach calms her. Which is also true for this reviewer. My grandparents lived in Florida up until I was in say the fourth grade. We visited there every summer and Christmas. Lots of Happy Memories were made there, and are still with me now that I am in my forties .
We enter Erin’s world. Her best friend is Camilla. Erin met Erin while in College to be a nurse. Camilla introduces her to few of her close friends. These people make up Erin’s life. She goes to school, works, has her own apartment, and enjoys bonfires on the beach with her friends and a bottle of Patron.
The novel spans around a year and a half of time. Early in the novel Camilla asks Erin to go to Key West with her and their group of friends over school break. Here is where readers are introduced to Trent. Trent will become a main character and the Hero throughout the novel at this point. As well as playing a key role in Erin’s life.
After the break with its wonderful and invigorating trip to the Keys. School begins and so does a new routine for Erin. Now not only does her so called life include her close knit friends, but also Trent. Their relationship builds, and for once Erin’s life seems to be going as planned.
UNTIL…
Her past meets up with her. It is nothing bad. But she does get a shock. This shock complicates her controlled life and her relationships with others.
Erin has never been honest with her close knit of friends. Her past is a constant memory she would like to forget. That is why she moved and changed her name, to give her a redo in life. To be a brand new person, a stronger person.
This shocking news has her mentally and her body language even changes. She is protecting herself, walling her emotions about her past and present life inwardly. She does not need anyone, has never needed anyone. But Camilla and Trent being the close friends they are see that she is hurting. Words are said, that are in the heat of the moment. In the blink of an eye, they learn a part of her past that she never wanted them to know. Camilla tries to reach out to her. But this time with her dear Camilla is coming to an end that Erin does not see coming.
Resulting in Shock #2
(But you will have to read to find out what this is)
Her emotions are in turmoil. Literally knotting her up inside. Days are blurred, days pass. Erin is in so much pain.
Even though Erin had a big fight with Trent, he is there for her during this time. Before they have another argument. However, this most recent argument leaves Erin with new thoughts. So she begins to deal with shock #1, which eventually turns out to be a blessing.
Erin is a survivor. The novel is an experience in Life, with all its ups and downs, and happy middles.
During the novel she learns what being a friend is all about, says “I Love You” for the first time, and learns to truly trust someone. Erin matures throughout the novel. In the beginning she is the Miami party girl slash student. By the end she is complete, her world taken a full 360 degree turn along with her emotions and issues with her past.
I think you will like this story. It is not your average New Adult novel. It is about real type persons whom we may pass no matter where we live. The emotions and challenges faced in the plot, are REAL. The romance is REAL. The story could even be real in REAL Life somewhere out there, and we do not know it…
Do I recommend this novel, YES!!!
Ratings
4 Rose Review– Plot was real, had depth, emotion, realism. Characters were explained in depth, story was concise, flowed and kept reader wanting to know what the next page held.
2.5 Tears– This novel really speaks to the heart. Yes, I shed some tears. But most were happy tears!
3.5 Romance Rating- This novel has tender, loving, romance. But the romance does not distract from the story. The romance is not detailed, the reader just knows what action is being taken at times during the novel. But overall I the important thing is that Erin learns to love and trust in the novel. She puts her past behind her and uses it as a learning experience, not one to keep bottled up. But to open up about it, and learn how to use it to make her future a brighter, happier one for herself and those she loves.
The beginning: A point in time or space where something starts.
32-year-old Sebastian Vanwell, a very successful yacht broker, always loved the design and architecture of a luxurious yacht. His only addiction was being on the water. He loved it, he thrived on it, and he needed it in his life. After a very stable, loving childhood with a few bumps, Sebastian married the love of his life: the one person who he knew would always be there. Julia was his rock, and he loved her more than life itself. Sebastian kept his addiction to the water under control, wanting to keep his time with his wife and son his number one obsession. That was, until he saw her.
Ysabelle Telle hit him hard, knocking the wind from his lungs. This new addiction haunted him, the one compulsion that he couldn’t control no matter how hard he tried. Coming from worlds apart, beautiful, dark complected Ysabelle didn’t have the rich, protected background that Sebastian had. She had lived a life of hell, growing up in poverty and horrific living conditions with a drug-addict mother who never cared. Ysabelle now lived for one person, and one person only: herself. She was pure perfection. Her beauty, along with a flawless body, had men lined up and driveling over her- ensuring her success as a VIP.
There are too many words that describe the effects when two diverse worlds like theirs collide. They both have too much to lose to get caught in the forceful pull, which could destroy them both.
VIP

i Freaking loved this book… It was an emotional rollercoaster… It held my attention from the very beginning. The story begins with a look into what made Ysa and Sebastian the way they are and how they came to meet..
If you have a hard time with Abuse, Prostitution, drugs, cheating and hot sex then this is not the book for you. If you don’t then buckle up cause it’s an awesome ride.
Ysa grew up in a shitty home a whore for a mom who used her for a paycheck, she didn’t know her father she really had no one. She spent the first 16 years of her life with her mom and learned fairly quickly that she could use her god given assets to get what she wants, especially from the opposite sex. She lost her virginity at the hands of one of her mom’s johns. Awesome MOM of the Year she had. At 16 she found herself out of Tampa and into Miami getting a job and moving in with her boss, Devon, he would be the only true friend Ysa ever had even if he knew nothing about her. 2 somewhat boring years later she found herself literally in the arms of Madam. And with that Ysa became a VIP, not just a VIP but THE VIP..
Sebastian grew up the complete opposite he was loved by his parents his friends and all that met him. He grew up knowing and loving Julia from the time she was born, her parents were best friends with his… it’s kinda inevitable they would end up together right? Enter Julia’s adopted sister Olivia and Sebby’s world was flipped on it’s axis for her from the moment he saw her. But in order for him to have Olivia he’d have to hurt Julia which was something he wasn’t going to do.. stolen moments were all they would have. Tragedy struck and he found himself in the arms of the woman who had been in his life forever Julia. His life was what he thought it should be.. normal, boring and scheduled basically. Then when at a party for a Yacht he just sold his world was flipped again by the green eyes that looked so familiar. He had to know her, just talk to her if anything just be in her presence.. but that would never be enough.. she was a VIP you had to pay for her time… even if it was just to talk…Madam made sure of it.
The twists and turns are crazy in this book and i found myself having emotions that I thought were wrong. so wrong I message the author and asked if I was bad for feeling like Sebastian’s wife should be out of the picture..
please please please go and one click this book it’s awesome and I am hard to get a 5 from.. but this author did it.. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us.

M. Robinson did a fantastic job to pull me in and make me love the characters and feel their hurt, pain and joy.
I could honestly not see where this story was going. It kept me wondering how in the world will Sebastian and Ysabelle ever meet they come from such different worlds. It was like day and night for me.
I could not put the book down after the first paragraph. I was hooked!!!

M. Robinson loves to read. She favors anything that has angst, romance, triangles, cheating, love, and of course sex! She has been reading since the Babysitters Club and R.L. Stein.
She was born in New Jersey but was raised in Tampa Fl. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D in psychology, with two years left.
She is married to an amazing man who she loves to pieces. They have two German Shepherd mixes and a Tabby cat.
Well, I hope yer happy, Thayer. Ye ruined all our plans. Ye know, I did all of this for us, so we could be together. Ye and I are supposed tae be together. No’ ye and some foul human,” she snapped.
“Are ye daft, woman,” I asked incredulous. “Have I no’ fuckin’ made myself clear? I have told ye in every bluidy possible way that I want nothin’ tae do with yer arse and still ye continue pushing and pulling. Now even goin’ as far as tae torture my true Mate?” I strode toward her while I spoke, even as she backed away until her back was flat against the wall with nowhere else to go.
I had never hit a woman, but this one had pushed me so far that I was seriously considering it. I grabbed her shoulders tightly before continuing, “Rosalind, ye fuckin’ bitch, I have said it a million times, and I’ll say it again. I want nothing, nothing tae do with yer skanky, conceited, and conniving self. As far as I’m concerned, ye doona even exist. Yer nothin’ but my worst nightmare come tae life. Yer dead tae me. In fact, I’ll be pissin’ on yer grave when ye finally shrivel up and die. Doona look at me like that,” I said as she smirked.
I knew she was thinking that she would never allow herself to die. “Ye will die, Rosalind. Ye will either be killed by one of the others for just being yer nasty self, or ye will have chased everyone away with yer personality that ye will be so alone and beg for death. Honestly, for the first time, I wish we did no’ have that damn law about no’ killing within our pack because,” I leaned in close to her throat, “I’m just itching to tear into yer throat and end yer miserable excuse of a life.”
I shoved her to the floor and turned to walk over to where Tevin was now holding a limp Baylee. My heart dropped as I saw her battered face streaked with tears. She was unconscious, not dead. Thank ye, God, I thought.
“Ye will regret this, Thayer,” Rosalind screamed at my back. “I know ye will come crawlin’ back tae me. Ye will grow tired of havin’ tae be so easy with her. She’s breakable, no’ half the woman ye need in the bedroom.”
I laughed as I looked over my should at how pathetic she was. How had I never seen her for what she really was before? Was I really that blinded? Surely a part of me knew what a poisonous cunt she was. “Rosalind, lass, she’s a hell of a lot more of a woman in bed than ye ever were.” She glared at me and huffed as she got back on her feet and stomped past a struggling Sloan and out the door.
Standing in front of Tevin, I held my arms out to take Baylee from him. He handed her over gently, taking care to lean her head softly against my shoulder. My eyes roamed over every part of her I could see, taking in all the bruises, cuts, and wet and dried blood covering her tiny body. A deep growl erupted from my chest as I looked over at Sloan. He did all of this to her. I wanted nothing more than to march over there and rip his head from his body, but that would be too good for him. He deserved so much pain, torturous drawn out pain.
“Ye will pay for this, Sloan. This is no’ the end. Watch yer back.”
Adjusting Baylee as gently as possible, she whimpered against my shoulder, and her face contorted with pain. I had to swallow down the cry that threatened to burst from inside me. “My poor sweet, Baylee, please stay with me. I promise I won’t let anythin’ else happen tae ye. Just please…please doona leave me,” I whispered softly against her hair.
Here is an excerpt from book two in the series, Exiled From Midnight Cove. This has not been posted before. You are the first one’s to see it. Enjoy!
I couldn’t believe my eyes. I followed Baylee’s scent to this location and saw her pressed against a building laughing and kissing Logan. I swallowed hard and blinked my eyes several times hoping against hope what I’d seen wasn’t real. My eyes had to be playing tricks on me, but my sweet Baylee was indeed in the arms of another wolf. The wolf I had entrusted her life with while I fought for mine. While I fought for us.
Anger swept through my body completely taking over all of my senses. I growled and knew my eyes were flashing. I felt my teeth lengthen, and my face contort. I narrowed my eyes as he spun around to look in my direction. There was immediate recognition in his eyes, and he was terrified. Rightfully so too because I was going to rip him to pieces until there was nothing left to identify as a person or wolf.
I briefly registered Baylee trying to get around him and him trying to keep her behind him. Did he think I would actually hurt her? Or did he think I didn’t know that it was, in fact, her he just had his paws all over?
I lunged forward and grabbed him by the front of his shirt, throwing him several feet into the air before he landed about ten feet behind me. I didn’t allow him recovery time and pounced on him. I grabbed his head and slammed it into the concrete parking lot, stunning him furthermore. He dared tae touch what was mine? Another head slam to the concrete. He dared tae put his lips on My Mate? I punched his face repeatedly. Never again will he be able tae take what was mine! He managed to shove me up enough for him to get a good punch to my left eye. I was temporarily stunned, and he took advantage pushing me to my back. He grabbed the front of my shirt, and landed several more punches to my face. I grew angrier that he dared to fight back when he deserved to be punished for touching my Mate. Using my feet, I kicked him off of me, and climbed on top of him. I grabbed his arm and bit into his wrist, tearing his hand from him. I snarled and tore his other hand off. Try tae touch her now, ye bluidy bastard!
Baylee screamed, startling me out of my rage for a moment. I turned to see her with wide eyes, tears streaking her face, and her hands covering her mouth. I felt a brief feeling of regret. Not for what I did, but because I did it in front of her. It’d been months since we’d seen each other. She’d had plenty of time to actually fall in love with Logan. What if she was in love with him?
My eyes traveled hungrily over her. She looked beautiful. I had craved the sight of her for months, had begged God to let me smell her one last time, to feel her again. This had not been the reunion I had in mind. The reunion I’d imagined was me finding her, her jumping into my arms, and then me kissing her senseless. Instead she had been with the wolf, I sent her away with. It was my own stupidity really. What kind of male sends his Mate away with another male? I only had myself to blame if they’d fallen for each other.
“Get off of him, Thayer! What is wrong with you,” her beautiful mouth yelled at me. Something was wrong. I wasn’t hearing just our heartbeats. Someone else was near. They’d probably called the police already. It registered in my mind we were out in the open for all to see. I looked down at Logan, who was still howling in pain, but the bleeding had already stopped. Stumbling a bit away from them both, I looked around for the other heartbeat I was hearing. Where was it coming from?
I closed my eyes, and heard Baylee run to Logan. The wolf in me growled with satisfaction when I heard him telling her to get away from him and not to touch him. The heartbeat had moved when Baylee moved. Realization hit me, and my eyes sprang open. Baylee was pregnant? I’d fuckin’ kill him for sure!
Lots of Love and Happiness,

In an attempt to save his sister, Emily, from becoming a breeder, Devon Harris defies his alpha and flees his home with his sister. They seek refuge at his Uncle Rick’s ranch, unintentionally laying the foundation for a war between the packs. There he meets the fiery human Lark. In the midst of a war, does he dare let himself fall for her?
Rick Harris has been like a second father to Lark Davies since her parents died
in an accident three years ago. As the sole guardian of her younger sister and
the owner of her own bakery, Lark doesn’t have time for a social life. When
Rick’s nephew comes to town, sparks immediately begin to fly as Lark finds
herself drawn even further into the werewolf world.
Excerpt
Lark opened her eyes, taking in the pitch black hotel room, illuminated only by the moonlight. Sweat beaded around her neck and brow. Hair stuck to the nape of her neck. She sat up and looked around at the barely visible furniture. Movement by the window caught her eye.
Devon stood at the window arms crossed over his chest. His broad shoulders accented by the bright white of the moon. Lark stared at the fine plains of his bare back. She licked her lips taking him all in. Her body shuddered recalling the way he’d felt pressed against her – the way his lips had caressed hers a day ago.
Lark blinked the images away. Thankful for the darkness that hid the heat creeping across her face. Her throat parched, she pushed the covers back to get a drink of water from the sink.
The cool water alleviated some of the heat, and glided down her parched throat. She pushed the wet strands out of her face and walked to the window. Devon hadn’t moved. Preston and the three other guys lay sound asleep on the floor. They’d been kind enough to give her the only bed.
“Do you not sleep?” Lark joined him at the window. Her eyes glued to the door across the street. To think, her sister was in that room. Lark wondered if Sarah was okay. Was she sleeping? In pain? Would they hurt her? The list went on and on.
“It’s my turn to keep watch. Daniel said they wouldn’t leave till morning, but I don’t want to risk it.” Devon looked over at her for a moment his eyes slipped down to take in her plaid pants before he turned back to the window.
She’d gone with Preston to the store earlier to pick up a few things. They’d both needed the distraction. She normally slept in boy-shorts, but after her run in with Devon the other morning, and considering she was sharing a room with five guys, she had thought better.
“Oh, I didn’t realize you guys were keeping watch. I can keep a look out if you want to rest.”
“It’s okay. Preston will take over in another half hour.” Devon shrugged. “I’m used to the late nights; it’s actually been a little bit of shell shock to get used to days. As an EMT I worked the twelve hour night shift. Most incidents happen at night, you get used to being up all night. My nights off I usually spent out too. Vincent likes to party. I went along for something to do and keep him out of trouble.”
“I can see that about Vincent. I bet you’ve seen some interesting things on your job?”
Devon smiled, the moonlight lit his hazel eyes. “People never cease to amaze you. I’ve seen the traumatic to the dramatic.”
Lark laughed. “I can imagine. You see stories on the news every so often, where someone calls 911 for a cheeseburger, or something ridiculous like that.”
“Those are the people who don’t understand the absorbent bill they get in the mail for our services either,” Devon chuckled.
The smile lit his entire face. It gave her a rare glimpse of him. Lark wondered what had happened in his past to make him so distant. Slowly, he seemed to be opening up to her. She hoped he continued to do so.
“I’m sure you get interesting characters in The Cookie Jar.”
“Yeah, about half my customers are regulars. It’s kind of nice getting to talk to everyone. You’d be amazed what people tell you though. I’ve heard so many things that I really didn’t want to know.” Lark placed her hands on the windowsill, leaning forward. She peered out the sheer curtains.
Her thoughts drifted back to Sarah and Emily; at least they had each other.
“They won’t hurt her.”
Lark looked up at him surprised, taking a moment to register his words. She nodded and sighed, eyes darting back to the door across the street. The street seemed to stretch endlessly. It felt like miles separated them instead of mere feet. She would feel better once she could hold Sarah in her arms again.
“Have you ever thought about becoming a doctor or a nurse? You know taking your training to the next level?” Lark needed a distraction and she was curious about Devon.
“My bedside manner sucks.”
Lark met his smile. “But would you?”
Devon leaned forward before rocking back on his heels. “I don’t know. I never really thought about it.”
Lark nodded. “I always enjoyed baking. I never in my life thought I’d own my own bakery. But I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.”
“I do like the blueberry muffins.”
“You guys do seem to have a sweet tooth. Well, actually, I’ve noticed you guys eat just about anything.”
Devon laughed. “It’s our metabolism. Especially when we shift a lot; it makes us hungry.”
“I can tell.” Lark looked over at him. “Do you do it often? Shift I mean?”
“I try to once a day; some days, like when I worked, I couldn’t. The wolf is a part of who we are. Shifting is important for our mental well being. As a rule, we try to shift three to four times a week. The only exception is when women are pregnant. The shift is harmful to the fetus since the body transforms from a human into a wolf.”
“Does it hurt when you change?” Lark couldn’t stop herself from asking.
“It’s a pleasure pain.”
“I imagine it’s exhilarating.”
“You really are genuinely interested aren’t you?” Devon turned to her eyes locked on hers.
Lark swallowed at the intensity of his gaze and lowered her eyes to the floor.
“I…I’m not trying to be rude.”
“I know.” Devon’s fingers grazed her chin, tilting it back up. “I’ve never met someone who’s been so understanding – who’s wanted to learn more.”
His thumb cupped her chin softly eyes glued to hers. She licked her lips in anticipation.
Slowly his face inched toward hers, their breath mingled. Her heart raced, and body scorched with arousal. His woodsy scent filled her nostrils. Eyes closed, his lips grazed against hers. Devon’s stubble scratched her chin; his lips so soft against hers.

Excerpt: Into the Unknown *Unedited*
“Wow,” Natalia breathed as they reached the top of the peak. She closed her eyes as the cool breeze ghosted against her face. Pine and oak fragranced the air, causing a smile to slide across her face. Opening her eyes, she surveyed the landscape.
Trees spread out for as far as the eye could see. The sun hung low, filling the sky with an orange pink hue. She spun around relishing in the fresh scent and the complete seclusion the trees offered. Crickets chirped and she could hear wildlife scuttling about. “This is amazing,” she said, focusing her gaze on Gene.
“My father worked hard on the landscape back home, but I don’t think it will ever be this secluded.”
“It is nice at your ranch,” Natalia commented. “I grew up in the city anything outside the city limits is rustic to me.”
“And you weren’t around any other wolves?” Gene questioned.
“No. My mother taught me what she knew. Which was not much. Her only experience was with my father, Luis.”
“I meant what I told you. I want to help you – teach you are ways.”
Natalia moved to the edge of the hill and stared down over the edge. Taking the chance and trusting him was about as appealing as jumping to the rocks and brush below. Still, she wanted to believe him.
“How do you do it?”
Swallowing she held her breath as he came to stand next to her. “What?”
“The partial shift. How do you do it?”
Natalia turned to look at him quirking her brow up as he came to stand in front of her. His heels touched the edge of the cliff and she blinked surprised how vulnerable he was allowing himself to be.
Her breath caught in her throat as he placed his hands on her shoulders, his chocolate eyes meeting hers. Her pulse spiked and a shiver ran up her spine as anticipation rolled through her.
“Close your eyes,” he said quietly.
Her eyes widened, heart accelerated and she fought the urge to lean into him. The innocent touch seemed anything but to her.
“You need to focus, close your eyes,” he urged, seemingly oblivious to her discomfort and arousal.
Clearing her throat, she closed her eyes, needing to escape his gaze.
“Now, think about your wolf. Your sight specifically. Imagine you are running. The wildlife and trees are whirling by you as you survey your surroundings. Everything is clearer, sharper. Inhale the pine and oak, the dirt and leaves.”
Natalia forced her breathing to even out, letting his voice guide her as she imagined what he was saying. Warm puffs of air hit her face as he spoke. She let his voice soothe her until she found herself lost in his words.
“Open your eyes, Talia,” Gene said softly.
Fingers grazed her cheeks and gently cupped her face. Startled, she opened her eyes, gasping at their close proximity.
Blinking, she stepped back taking him in. His face appeared clearer, stubble poked out from his pores. Gene’s brown eyes stared at her allowing her to see her goldish eyes reflecting off of them. Turning away from him, she took in the leaves noticing the fine lines of each of them and the tiny insects that gathered on the trunk of a tree.
“All you have to do is focus. How do you feel?” Gene asked.
“Good,” Natalia beamed. In fact, she felt better than she had in weeks.
“If you follow the same mindset when you transition I think it will help. The important thing to remember is you are still in control even if you are the wolf. Embrace who you are don’t fear it.”
“I’m not afraid of-“
“Yes, you are. You’re afraid of what we are because you don’t want to be like Juarez. You can be the wolf and still be yourself,” Gene said. He took a step to the side. “The wolf doesn’t make us do anything we wouldn’t already do. It’s just like with humans there are humans that are just evil. The same rule applies to wolves. There are wolves that are just bad too. On the flip side, there are good humans and wolves. It’s what we do that defines us not what we are.”
Gene sighed as he looked over the edge of the cliff. “I’m heading back. The house is a quarter of a mile that way,” Gene said pointing as he turned in the direction they’d come. “You should try shifting.”
Natalia nodded waiting until she heard the dirt and gravel crunching beneath his feet to turn around. He’d helped her. Swallowing, she watched as he disappeared into the trees. Satisfied she was alone, she undressed and prepared to transition.

This new addiction haunted him, the one compulsion that he couldn’t control no matter how hard he tried. Ysabelle Telle hit him hard, knocking the wind from his lungs. Coming from worlds apart, beautiful, dark complexion Ysabelle Telle didn’t have the rich, protected background that Sebastian Vanwell had. Ysabelle lived a life of hell, in poverty, growing up with a drug addict mother that never cared, and horrific living conditions. Ysabelle lived for one person and one person only; herself. She was pure perfection, her beauty along with a flawless body had men lined up, driveling over her insuring her success as a VIP. There are too many words that describe the effects when two diverse worlds like theirs collide. They both have too much to lose to get caught in the forceful pull, which could destroy them both. Warning sex/drugs/language. Mature readers only.
Lane Channing doesn’t have much to leave behind in Kansas. She promised her dying mother she would follow her dreams no matter what. That’s why this summer Lane is taking ‘the big risk’ and leaving the Midwest for an internship in LA at CTA. She arrives for her internship in her old jeep with 20 bucks until her first paycheck — but she has a job! A dream job that will get her into the Industry…or she thought she did until she finds out that CTA gave her job away! Now she’s broke, unemployed and stuck in LA with no safety net.
Dillon MacAvoy has one goal–to become a star. His agent and publicist have been honing his bad-boy can’t-be-tamed forever-single image in preparation for the release of Dillon’s first film. An image that will sell tickets, solidify Dillon’s career. Besides, it’s an image that is very close to the truth. Nothing matters to Dillon but his career and his brother. He’s got offers for great roles stacking up but the studios are getting ready to pull the deals if he won’t give
them answers. Problem? He keeps sleeping with his script readers and then tossing them aside. Then Dillon’s brother Choo finds the perfect reader for Dillon, a reader that is completely untouchable–Choo finds Lane Channing.
Lane is saved by the job opportunity to read for Dillon MacAvoy and if she can last the entire summer as his reader then she will have a job next spring when she graduates college. But she will have to ignore the heat that pulses through her whenever Dillon is in the room. Dillon can’t get distracted by Lane–she could ruin the brand that his agent and publicist have built a brand that includes Dillon as forever single bad boy–an image that as Dillon gets to know Lane Channing might not fit his identity anymore.

Dillon
I couldn’t stop myself. I wanted to because I didn’t want to hurt Lane. I didn’t want to draw here into my insane world. I wanted her to read for me this summer and then go back to Kansas where she could meet someone good for her, someone that would take care of her, but when I looked in her eyes and saw that she understood. She got how hard it was to go into that room and pretend to be happy but how it was also an honor and of course I couldn’t cry in there. It was tragic and sad but it would be selfish to cry–that family was experiencing that pain.
It was my job, to do the very best I could to bring some light and joy into that room if only they got to have their son for 6 days or 6 months I was meant to lighten their load. I wasn’t the star of that show.
And Lane got it.
Her lips trembled and her voice shook and her eyes those damn turquoise eyes with specks of green were wet and wide and she was just so their and so alive and so beautiful what else—there was nothing else I could do. I wanted her. I’d wanted her from the moment I met her.
I needed to kiss her, it wasn’t a choice. I reached out and I grabbed her by both arms and pulled her to me. Her lips were soft and at first surprised but she yielded to me. I pressed her against the elevator wall. My mouth was so greedy for her.
Heat burst through my belly. I was hard and my cock throbbed. I hadn’t been this turned on — ever.
My hand skimmed over her bare thigh and along the edges of her shorts. Damn that amazing beautiful thigh. My hand pressed up over the top of her shirt, against her waist and to the edge of the roundness of her breast. A soft moan came from deep in her throat and I nearly exploded. She pressed her hips forward against mine. I touched the edge of her breast and another soft little moan escaped her throat. A moan that nearly undid me. I pressed harder against her.
Then the elevator dinged. I looked at her and the heat in my body stunned me. What was I thinking?
We were in a fucking elevator in a hospital? I wasn’t … I couldn’t think, that was obvious–I couldn’t even think when Lane was around. I jerked away from Lane and burst off the elevator and toward the hospital doors. I needed air. This…I hadn’t meant to, didn’t — shouldn’t have. Fuck what had I done? I looked over my shoulder once before I slammed through the automatic doors, the look on Lane’s face–the look she was shocked and surprised and stunned. Her fingers lingered on her lips where seconds before my lips had been.

The first book in this series by Mandee Mae is Distant Myles. Both novels can be read as stand-alone and that is how I am currently reading,
A New Face to Love. In both novels Amelia and Jamie are best friends. They are traveling nurses and met through their job. Both characters
have a wonderful sense of humor and are as close as sisters. Apparently two years ago, Amelia and Jamie visited Galveston, Texas for vacation. While there they
met two attractive guys. Their job was able to relocate with them, so for the past two years Texas has been there new home. During vacation Jamie was picking up some groceries and felt watched, and she was. Now two years later and at the same grocery store, she tells Amelia that Mystery Man is back. They quickly pay for
their purchase and leave the store as fast as they can. Both are freaked out. Amelia takes Jamie home, then goes to her own home (where apparently vacation love turned into serious love for Amelia and Myles). Jamie calls Caleb over and he stays the night.
Around a month or so later Jamie is out taking a walk in the park and feels that odd feeling of being watched again. Then she sees Mystery Man coming toward her. While trying to get away, she trips. After a few short words with this man, whose eyes look so familiar, she faints and wakes in his home.
Now she feels that pull toward him that she felt in High School. Yet, what about Caleb? She knows that both men care for her. But which one will she choose.
The love she thought she had lost forever or the one that is such a good friend ?
I give the novel 3 1/2 roses. Story-line is straight forward, Characters are interesting and entertaining. There are a few grammar/spelling errors, but if you are enjoying the read, those can be overlooked.
Romance in the novel receives 3 1/2 lips/roses. It was awhile before romance actually happened in the novel. When it does, Jamie is confused on who she actually loves. When she finally made her decision, I was surprised at who she choose. You will have to read the book to find out if who she chose. Will it be Gerrit or Caleb?
The epic romance between an all-American beauty and her Aussie continues in this final installment of The Beauty Series.
Jack McLachlan is fulfilled by more than he dared to dream possible. He finds everything he never knew he wanted—or needed—in Laurelyn Prescott, his last and final companion. Life is beautiful with his beloved by his side but their post-wedded bliss is cut short when his dark past springs into their present happiness. He wants to shelter Laurelyn but keeping her untainted by his previous life proves impossible when yesterday’s sins insist on returning to haunt him. Will it be possible for them to find happiness in their forever with a past like his?
Beauty From Love is an adult contemporary novel and is not intended for younger readers due to mature content.
Georgia resides in rural Mississippi with her wonderful husband, Jeff, and their two beautiful daughters. She spent fourteen years as a labor and delivery nurse before she decided to pursue her dream of becoming an author and hasn’t looked back yet.
When she’s not writing, she’s thinking about writing. When she’s being domestic, she’s listening to her iPod and visualizing scenes for her current work in progress. Every story coming from her always has a song to inspire it.

The truth is I was born into a family in which the word “family” in and of itself was laughable. I never met my father and there are times I wish I would never have met my mother. Try as hard as she might, she never fully accomplished the task of ending her life. Which, really, was a shame. How much easier my life would have been if she had just ceased to exist.
While her anger was something to be reckoned with, the malice induced by her addictions was something that should be avoided altogether.
I learned at a very young age that home was not a place I wanted to be.
I should have stayed in my hometown in Alabama, pissing my life away until I wound up another statistic; pregnant with a fatherless baby. That should have been my story, but I never received that particular script, so I forged my way in my own manner.
My life didn’t start until I left my past. And I left everything. My mother, my friends, my name. Yes, my name. I will not tell you what my name used to be because it is irrelevant. That person should never have existed.
My new name, the name everyone knows me by is Erin Lewis. It is a name common enough so that I can blend, but bright enough so that I may shine. And that is what I want, to shine so brightly that the darkness of my past is but a small speck of dust.

Life’s A Cappella…..the song that life sings for us, it changes day by day, as circumstances change. How we react to life and those circumstances depends on the music that we fill our life with. Whether it be a love ballad, or a dark song of heart ache and depression. Erin lived by the notes of different songs, letting the music flow freely through her veins enveloping her to live like a free-spirited phoenix. Although her young life had been scarred of turmoil and heartache, she refused to let that define who she is today, as she lived each day to the fullest, paving a new road in her new life. She had erased her past. She had new friends that she loved, and cherished, and was slowly beginning to fall in love. The record skipped and the song changed as did Erin’s life, dramatically. It takes overwhelming heartache and loss for Erin to open her eyes to see that no matter how far you run, your past is still there, lurking in the dark, but it’s the choices that you make, that determine your future.
A debut novel…such a surprise, for a beautifully written novel. Life’s A Cappella is absolutely captivating. From the beginning, I felt free, then sadness, heartache, and happiness. I could feel each of Erin’s emotions tug at my heart as I read Life’s A Cappella. Yessi Smith is a very creative author, tangling her love for music, with such a story. The story feels so real and authentic, it connects you to the character, as you feel every ounce of emotion with them and for them. I can’t wait to read more from this up and coming literary rock star!! – Author Silla Webb (Amazon)

I hope you all enjoy this book as much as I did. This is a great debut book for Yessi and I can only hope there is going to be more from her!
This is a really touching story of Erin, a young woman who left her old life behind her.
She is finally settled into her new life. She has made good friends & is in a relationship, and is trying very hard to forget her old life.
Then tragedy hits & she is thrown back into her old life. Erin then has to face her demons to go forward into a completely new life.
This story tackled a very sad topic very well, not too over the top, but with just enough detail to touch you.
I found myself very emotional, crying & laughing.
This is a really good read.
There’s only one place in the world where I feel normal—the roller derby track. When I put on my skates and fasten my helmet, I’m powerful and in charge. I know exactly what to do and what to say. The rules are clear and everyone does exactly what they’re supposed to, penalties are enforced for those who don’t.
But in the real world, I’m far from powerful and in charge. I never know exactly what to do and say. For years, I counted on one person to be exactly who he said he was—my best friend -Wyatt Tanaka.
Only he’s changed. Being a Marine and serving in a war has made him different. Now I want to help him, but I also want to kiss him. And that’s not something best friends do.
Neither of us, it seems, is content being just friends anymore. If we cross that line, change the rules of our relationship, it could be wonderful and everything I’ve ever wanted.
But it might also mean I’ll lose the one person I’ve come to rely on and I don’t think my heart can take it.
