Synopsis

Being the niece of the biggest star in the world isn’t easy–especially when someone is trying to kill you.

Nikki Solange is a small town Tennessee girl.  When she hits Hollywood and tries to become a movie Producer, she’s in for the culture shock of her life–and finding a D-list actor turned up-and-coming director floating face down in his Beverly Hills swimming pool is the least of it.  Now Nikki must walk the gauntlet that is Hollywood and try to stay alive because someone from Nikki’s hard-scrabble past is out to make sure that she ends up dead.

Pretending to be a Hollywood playboy film producer is easy when one of the world’s richest men is backing you.

Ex Marine sniper Rush Nelson is back from his final tour in Afghanistan and is now a security specialist for one of the world’s richest men, media mogul Ted Robinoff. Backed by his boss, Rush has a solid cover-story that includes some serious Armani threads, a pulse-pounding car, and a limitless expense account.  All to protect Robinoff, his business interests, and Robinoff’s family, which includes Ted’s superstar wife Celeste ‘Cici’ Solange and her pain-in-the-ass niece Nikki. Rush must achieve his directive without ruining his cover. Easy–except for one problem–Nikki Solange. Rush is falling for her.

When your mission is security, falling for the person you’re meant to protect is the number one rule not to break.

Guest Post

Nikki Solange is the perfect mix of tough and insecure.  She is so resilient and has so much perseverance.  She is a character who has been knocked down by life so many times and yet continues to get back up and keep going.

Author Quote

There was a path that each person walked, and you could shout to them, but somehow the wind that whistled through their ears on their own path always seemed to drown out the words of advice and wisdom. The best you could do when your paths met was reach out and give them your hand.  –Christina Darmides

Marr: This quote, to me, speaks to the loneliness of life.  How, even when we are loved, we often feel alone and bare the weight of our life and our tragedies alone, but also how we can reach out to each other and give and feel love.

 Excerpt

Rush was screwed. Every which way. He looked over his shoulder, away from the full moon that cast a full glow across the Ojai Valley and toward the girl who slept in the bed. Her face was relaxed in the moonlight, a pale alabaster with her pretty rosebud lips still bee-stung from his rough kisses and her wild hair a fiery halo that framed her face.

Nikki got to him. Her combination of naïveté, innocence, bravado, and pain-in-the-ass nature got to him, pulled him tight, closer than he should have been or ever expected to be. This was not what Ted Robinoff had in mind when he’d told Rush to get close. A sick feeling clenched through Rush’s gut. No, Ted hadn’t intended that Rush should bed Ted’s niece. A deep inhale of breath pulsed through Rush. What was this? What had he managed to do—his weakness to this silly, sad sort of girl would cost him his job, might cost him his cover, might cost him his entire career.

He closed his eyes. You couldn’t build a relationship upon a lie. And Nikki knew nothing about him other than his lies. He was meant to protect her; this was a finite gig. A gig that was meant to end and he was meant to slip seamlessly into her past as she found a future with her type of guy. A guy who really wanted to be in entertainment or a doctor or lawyer or perhaps an executive that rolled with Ted.

Not with a man who lied for a living. Not with a man who used his body, his mind, his smarts, and the money of the man he worked for to ferret out the deepest secrets people never wanted exposed. Finding secrets, exposing lies, was Rush’s specialty, and that was not the type of man Nikki Solange should ever be in a relationship with—Rush didn’t want her to be.

He turned back toward the cathedral window beside the bed. Shadows bounced around the edges of trees. They would return to Los Angeles tomorrow. He would tell Ted what had happened. There was no other way but to shed this guilt and take the hit. Ted would decide how to proceed because Rush was too damn close to even see.

The light from the bathroom splays across the bed, illuminating her features just enough for me to see the way the blush heats the soft planes of her face. Her long, thick eyelashes rest there just above her cheeks, brushing her newly sun-kissed skin. I can just barely see the light dust of freckles that dance across the bridge of her nose.

As she gives me the small smile that always causes my breathing to hitch, those rogue dimples of hers pop up and are just begging to be kissed. She opens her eyes and I feel my heart stopping for what feels like the millionth time today.

Every time she looks at me, everything else simply ceases to exist. My girl is beautiful. She’s simply breathtaking and she really has no idea. I’m under her spell, completely enraptured by her, but she doesn’t seem to have a clue.

I tighten my grip on her bare waist as I trace the outline of her perfect lips, continuing to marvel at her before I’m able to speak again. “You are absolutely everything to me, Sweetheart. I didn’t even know my heart was capable of feeling so much. Before I met you, I was just floating and I didn’t even know it,” she opens her eyes again and they meet with mine. “But now I’m alive. I wouldn’t be able to exist without you, Sophie. Don’t ever doubt what you mean to me. Ever.”

About the Author

I grew up in Texas and moved to Florida when I met the love of my life 13 years ago. I wrote my first poem when I was five and it was about my love affair with pickles. I still love pickles but I like to think my writing has grown since then. I absolutely adore anything to do with books whether it’s writing them or devouring them in one sitting. I live on music, love, and sweet tea. I am known for my silly but blunt personality. I’ve been lucky enough to find the love of my life, marry him and now we’re working on our happily ever after. He inspires me in everything I do, but especially in telling love stories. I’m an ordinary girl living an extraordinary love and I’m so happy I get to share it with the world through my writing. I can’t wait for you to read my debut novel, The Promise!

1)  I am a huge music lover and listen to it any chance I get. If I can’t, I’m singing in my head. I also get really nervous if I try to drive without the radio on and find it impossible to listen to Outkast without shaking it like a Polaroid picture.

 2)  Ever since I had an accident in one on my twelfth birthday, I’ve been terrified of go-carts.

3)  I don’t know how to roller skate and I can’t do a cartwheel. However I can air guitar like nobody’s business.

4)  I love tattoos and have ten of them.

5)  My favorite color is hot pink. I wear at least one hot pink thing every day.

6)  My favorite singer ever is Freddie Mercury and I celebrate his birthday every year. I make a cake, watch (and sing along to) at least one Queen concert, wear moustache earrings and a Betty Boop shirt. Sometimes I even wear a cape. Yes, you read that right. I have a cape and it’s awesome.

7)  I love to use swear words.

8)  When I was fifteen, I had a dream about my wedding day. In the dream I married someone I didn’t know at the time. When I was twenty one, I met him while I was on vacation. He’s now my husband.

Review

Technology really is something these days. Sophia is a teacher with the dull-drums. She has been married before, but not happily. Now divorced the guys she goes out with, when she goes out aren’t really better. Sophia is just going through the motions of dating. Her current date who readers meet at the start of the novel is a fellow teacher she has been seeing for awhile, but there are no sparks. Not one zap of excitement (at least to her) in the relationship. I mean the guy is nice enough, but a little boring. Sophia wants to change her blue life to a rainbow colored life. Then one night she gets a Facebook friend request from Kayden. She knows the name, he was a friend of her brothers growing up. So Sophia does some checking up on the guy and finds out he OK. Not crazy or anything. So she accepts the requests. And this is how it ALL starts. They end up chatting, then chatting more and more. They must have i phones, for they Face-time one another often. Usually at night, like clock work one or the other call/chat with each other. After awhile school is over  for the summer and Kayden asks her to come visit him in New Orleans. She agrees, and after a long car ride from Florida to Louisiana, she is in his city, at his apartment…meeting for the first time face to face. Let’s just say that the weather is not the only thing hot and steamy in New Orleans. Kayden shows Sophia around and shows her the sights to be seen. They drink, they laugh, they grow attracted to each other. Kayden works everyday of the week, yet both he and Sophia try to visit each other when they can work it into their schedules. Then Sophia gets busy with school starting again. In the meantime, Kayden’s past starts to catch up with him. He tells Sophia parts, but not quite the complete story. Their relationship goes through several trials. Kayden breaks Sophia’s heart over and over. However, she always returns back to him. He brightens her world, his touch ignites her emotions, body, and life itself. Sophia cannot imagine a world without Kayden. Will it work out for these two? Or will Kayden’s past tear them apart forever? Only one way to find out. Read it and see…

New Image

3.5  for writing style and story line. Love Kayden, but wow, his past is just really hard on their relationship. This was a debut novel by Chelle Bliss. I enjoyed the book, but there were times, that it felt the story just went on and on about Kayden and his past repetitively. However, I am looking forward to Kayden’s story coming out soon. Maybe that will explain more in depth about his past and fill in some of the blanks, so I understand his character a little better.

5 star book review ratingRomance in Untangle Me gets the BIG 5 🌟

This book was a Rockin’!!!  Kayden and Sophia’s Love for one another was explosive! This book boyfriend makes you see comets instead of stars. It is HOT, HOT, HOT in the romance department. One word says it all…

sexy-pink-glitter

Now for the tear factor.

2.5 rating

As mentioned this novel had its LOVE ups and downs. There were parts where Kayden broke Sophia’s heart into several tiny pieces. Thus my emotional reading tears sliding down my face. I did not ugly cry, but there were times that just really shook me up.

Do I recommend this novel? Absolutely!!!

The Healer’s Gift

THGcoverupdated

Publication Date: August 31, 2013

Synopsis

Ainsland, a virgin widow fleeing from her husband’s murderer, and Collum, a healer who possesses supernatural abilities, are brought together by circumstance.  What begins as a marriage of convenience for the couple evolves into one of great love and passion.  Yet, Collum’s tragic past and the ever-looming threat of Ainsland’s malevolent pursuer’s appearance in their close-knit rural community overshadows their ability to be truly content.  When evil strikes and all seems lost, will it be the resilient, headstrong Ainsland who is able to save herself, her husband, and the people she has come to know and cherish or will Collum, determined and wise, somehow manage to rescue the love of his life before time runs out?

Divider-15

Excerpt 1

After Maggie and her son had departed, Ainsland said, “I like her.”

“She’s very likable,” Collum agreed, as he arranged some herbs in piles on the table.

“You told her about the weaker twin.”

     “I did.”

     “Why?”

“Because it hasn’t improved.  In fact, it’s worsened.  All I can hope for is that it doesn’t die soon so that the other twin can have more time to develop before birth.”

     “It’ll die for certain?”

Hearing the tone in her voice, he raised his head from his task and narrowed his eyes.

“You cannot tell her,” he commanded.  “Already she’ll blame herself, since she didn’t want two more babies to begin with.  If you tell her now, it could kill her.  This could kill her anyway.”

Ainsland paled and asked, “What do you mean?”

“The healthy baby isn’t in the right position for birth.  Should the other twin die and birth should begin before the healthy twin has time to turn, both twins could die unborn, and Maggie could die in an effort to deliver them.”  With a shrug, he said, “It happens.”

“You unfeeling bastard!  You speak of it like you’re talking of the weather!” she snapped.  “How can you look on life that way?”

“Because it’s as natural as the weather.  Because I’ve seen women die in childbirth before.  Sometimes I can save them, and sometimes I can’t.  I can’t allow myself to worry over what might happen.  If she dies, I’ll grieve for her.  If she doesn’t, I’ll be thankful.  What’s so unfeeling about that?”

She turned  away from him and didn’t answer.

“I’d appreciate it if you wouldn’t call me a bastard,” he went on.  “A bastard I may be, but it’s not common knowledge around this area.”

     “You…you are a bastard?”

     “I am.”

Ainsland forgot her anger, rose from the bed, and went slowly to the table.

     “Do you know your parents?”

     “I do.”

     “And?”

“And it’s none of your affair.”

     “You…you…man!”

He laughed and lowered his head.

“Ah, you try to insult me.  And after I saved your life.”

“I may owe you my life, but that doesn’t mean you should be so….”  She searched for the appropriate phrase.  “You’re infuriating!”

“I’m sorry you find me so.  Now, would you hand me that jar near your elbow?”

With a sigh, Ainsland did as he asked.  By the end of the afternoon, she’d helped him with various tasks around the cottage.

“You’re a good assistant,” he said, as they sat down to a meal of porridge and dried apples.  “When you’re not busy being a pain in the rump, that is.”

“A pain in the rump I may be, but I’d appreciate it if you’d refrain from calling me that.  It’s not common knowledge in this area.”

He blinked in surprise then grinned broadly at her.

Excerpt 2

Ainsland.”

Collum’s voice was low and throaty and almost unrecognizable.  Ainsland opened her eyes and looked up at him.  She became aware of how tightly she was gripping his shoulders.  She relaxed her fingers but did not release him.

“Are you all right, little one?”

She nodded and tried not to cry.  She seemed stretched beyond her limits.  As she lay wordlessly beneath him, Collum began to move his hips slowly in a circular pattern, never pulling out of her.  She bit her lip at the discomfort but didn’t ask him to stop.  After a time, the pressure seemed to lessen slightly, and her loins began to ache for what she innately knew was meant to be.

Collum became still, his shaft rigid inside of her.  He was finding it difficult to think clearly.  He had done all that he could to ease the tight flesh, and the glove of her passage was beginning to pulse with unmistakable urgency.  His own urgency could be reined in no longer.

He stroked her with slow thrusts.  She moaned and lifted her hips slightly so that he went further inside of her.  There was an instant tightening of her flesh around him, and the little cries she made awakened the true passion within him, a passion he’d denied for too long.

Ainsland screamed his name over and over.  The muscles surrounding him quivered and throbbed, and Collum released in her.  Ainsland arched her back with her final cry of pleasure then lay trembling underneath her husband.  He rested his head beside hers and sighed, but he didn’t pull out or attempt to get up.

Excerpt 3

“Collum!”  Richard’s voice boomed in his son’s aching brain.  “You must stop this or you will not live!”

Richard’s youngest son ceased his struggles and lay still in his father’s arms.  In a moment of clarity, the healer forced back the envelope of fever that surrounded him and focused on his weakened body.  His skull was knitting itself back together nicely.  The ribs and shoulder continued to ache, but the pain was not so acute.  Most of his bruises and cuts were healing, albeit slowly.  His broken leg throbbed fiercely, and Collum doubted that he would ever walk normally again – if he lived to walk again.

His belly had been badly infected.  From the fresh lacerations near the area, he deduced that Jordan must have been waging a repetitive series of battles with persistent infection.  Collum imagined what steps he himself would take if he were the healer and Jordan was the patient.  It would be a ceaseless cycle of cut, drain, clean, stitch, and dress.

“Father?” Collum rasped in a voice that he himself did not recognize.  “Mother?”

“My shining boy,” Vivien said, kissing his temple and stroking his hair.  “My little wolf.”

He almost smiled at her use of the old pet name she’d given him when he’d been a baby.  She had one for each of them, he recalled.  Edward was the little hawk; Landon was the little fox; Grayson was the little foal; Inya had been the little robin; and John was the little deer.  It had been years since he’d heard any of these nicknames spoken aloud.  He had almost forgotten them completely.

Collum became aware of how badly his back ached.  He reasoned that his body was not doing its job of purifying itself.  Between the fever and his prolonged periods of unconsciousness, it must have certainly been a trial to get him to take in enough liquids.  Significant weight loss was to be expected as well.

“Ainsland,” he mumbled through parched lips.  “I – I need her.  I must have water.”

And then she was near to him, pulling him against her chest and offering him tiny sips from a cup.  He could not have been more content had she offered him her breast.  His feeble efforts to touch her hair made her cry.  Once the cup had been drained, she passed it to someone and took his hand in hers and brought it to her cheek.

I am dying, Collum thought.  My body will cease to function soon if I can’t make it heal.

Divider-15Excerpt 4

     “Hello, child!”

Beastie began to bark and snarl at the man on the horse who was approaching them from behind.  Ainsland touched the hilt of the knife in her pocket and called out warily, “Hello to you!”

The stranger appeared to be nearing forty.  His hair was black peppered with gray.  He carried himself like a soldier.

“I mean you no harm!” he called back.  “I merely wish to pass.”

“Beastie, come here,” Ainsland ordered.  As the dog stood alert by her side, she said, “Good dog.”

The man rode closer then paused in front of them.  He removed the hood of his cloak and smiled down at the woman and dog.  Ainsland could only imagine what they must look like to a stranger.  Her heavy cloak and dress were dirty; her hair was surely a mass of tangles; and she felt sick and drained.  The dog’s coat was dotted with dirt and leaves.

“Not a child,” the man said slowly.  “Forgive me, my lady.  May I ask where you’re headed?”

“Varnan,” she replied cautiously.  “And you?”

“Woolrith.”  In response to her blank stare, he added, “Past Varnan.”

     “Oh.”

“My name is Harold.  And yours?”

Thinking of the Elders’ suggestion so long ago, she volunteered, “It’s Eleanor.”

“Well, Lady Eleanor, would you like to relieve your feet for a time and use my mount?”

Ainsland looked longingly at the horse then shook her head and said, “Thank you, but no.”

“My lady, I’m a former soldier and am used to long campaigns across treacherous ground.  It won’t bother me to walk all the way to Varnan if need be.”

     “I thank you, but no.”

     “You’re determined to collapse?”

“No, sir.  I’d happily ride the horse.  However, if it should throw me it might harm my child, and I’ve already lost one too soon.”

His eyes filled with pity, and she turned away and resumed her former pace.  After a few moments, she heard the horses hooves behind her, and Beastie turned and growled fiercely at the animal.

“He’s a loyal one, isn’t he?” Harold asked pleasantly.

     “Very,” Ainsland agreed.

After some minutes of silence, Harold said, “Please, Lady Eleanor.  You make me tired watching you.  Surely it can’t be better for your child that you –”

“I refuse to take a chance on the horse.”

“Where is your husband?  Does he know of your exertions?”

“My husband doesn’t even know about the child.  He’s disappeared, and I’m going to his family to ask for help.”

     “Disappeared?  When?”

     “Six days ago?  No, seven.”

“And you worry about foul play?”

“He’s a healer.  He was on his way to see to someone when he and his apprentice were overtaken.  I know there’s foul play.”

     “And the apprentice?”

“Will live, but he couldn’t describe the attackers.”

“Lady, you have another two days walk to Varnan, assuming it doesn’t snow.  The trail is already seven days old.”

“You’re already going that way.  Could you ride ahead and give word to my husband’s brother?”

“Would that I could.  My horse went lame before I left Nevres.  This old fellow was the only horse available.  He’s a good mount, but he has too many years on him to go that far that fast.”

She nodded and reached up to pat the horse’s neck.  The dog quieted when he saw this.  Harold got down from the horse and held the reins in one hand.

“Why did you dismount?”

“I won’t ride while a woman with child is forced to walk beside me.  It wouldn’t be right.”

-

Excerpt 5

Collum stood near the well looking up into the clear night sky at the two moons.  When Ainsland came up beside him, he took her hand and wordlessly urged her to walk with him.  She could feel the sadness emanating from him and wanted to say something comforting but knew that it was unnecessary.  He understood without having to be told.

They walked deeper and deeper into the woods, and Ainsland began to become concerned.  If something should happen to one of the children, then how would anyone find them?

“Don’t worry,” Collum said unexpectedly.  “I explained to Edward where you and I were going.  He could find it if he had to.”

They went past the place where Collum had found her unconscious fourteen years earlier.  Another five minutes passed and then another.  Just when Ainsland was about to ask him how much further they had to go, he slowed to a stop near some overgrowth on the side of a hill.  Without warning, he released her hand and ducked between what appeared to be brambles and poison ivy.

     “Collum, what are you doing?”

“Trust me, little wife,” he called to her, his voice muffled by the living things that stood between them.  “Come to me.”

Pulling her cloak tightly around her, Ainsland gradually pushed her way through and was surprised to find that there were no thorns.  She assumed that there was also no poison ivy as she went blindly forward.

Ainsland had only just emerged through the tangle of vines, plants, and branches when Collum took her in his arms and pulled her against him.  He bent low to kiss her, and she felt the familiar passion begin to build between them.  Abruptly, he released her then gestured for her to look around.

Walls of the thick overgrowth surrounded them on all sides.  In front of them lay a small pool of water that was surrounded by lush groundcover and a multitude of night-blooming flowers.  The air smelled sweet, and the moonlight shone brightly, unobstructed in the clearing.

“What is this place?” Ainsland breathed.

“My gift to you,” he answered.

“I don’t understand.  I’ve passed here many times and never suspected that any of this was here.  Do others know of it?”

“Edward does, because I showed it to him tonight.  Otherwise, no.”

Still perplexed, Ainsland began to slowly walk around the little pool.  She knelt beside it and touched the glassy surface with her fingers.  The water was warm.

“Part of the hot springs,” Collum told her.

“Was this place always like this?” she asked, as he knelt beside her.

“When I discovered it years ago it was an almost impenetrable area of the forest.  However, I found herbs within that could be located nowhere else, so I began to clear the useless weeds and dead brush.  I found you not far from here soon afterwards, and I sensed that this was meant especially for us to share.  I’ve been working on making it ready ever since.”

Barbara Cutrera has been a writer since childhood but didn’t begin writing novels until 1999. Her first novel to be completed was Over, Under, Across & Through, which is the initial book in her Real World fiction series that also includes A Good Man’s Life and Mercy. Not satisfied to be limited by writing in only one genre, she next penned a mystery blended with romance called In a Manner of Speaking. Cutrera took a dare from friends who suggested she write a romance and wrote The Healer’s Gift. She has since added A Lovely Dream, a romantic thriller, Prim and Proper, a true romance with a touch of mystery, and Lucky, a thriller set in the not-so-distant future in post-plague Earth, to her list of novels in queue for publication. She has recently completed another work of fiction entitled Compromising Positions and has started writing a romance entitled Sight Unseen.

Cutrera, a member of the Romance Writers of America and the Florida Writers’ Association, was born and raised in Louisiana and moved to Florida with her family in 2004. Barbara Cutrera’s Blog

December 15, 2013

Since my proofreader for blogs (Budge) didn’t catch the error in the title of this week’s blog, I’m re-posting it with the correction.  Sigh.  See below.

This past week was atypical regarding my literary endeavors, but that was fine.  My 82 year-old mother was here in Florida for a holiday visit.  She came for a week, since we couldn’t get together for Thanksgiving or Christmas.  I worked at my day job for the Division of Blind Services in the morning then took off each afternoon so that I’d have most of the day to spend with her.  She’s not an early riser.  We kept her busy, and we all had a great time.  However, the visit left virtually no time for writing or promoting.  That was okay.  She’s my mother and is 82.  A week together is worth the time lost when it comes to my literary career.

I did take some time to create the exciting event that will take place this Wednesday, December 18th, from 6-10 p.m.  It’s sponsored by Reading, Writing and Book Reviews and allows authors to “take over” the Facebook page in the spirit of the holiday season.  The event is by invitation only, so if you haven’t friended or liked my Facebook pages then do so right now athttps://www.facebook.com/pages/Barbara-Cutrera-Author/294829647240199 (my author page) which feeds off my primary page of https://www.facebook.com/ .  If you’ve been invited and haven’t yet accepted, then join the event now!   Then you can invite others to the event as well!  I’ll be posting, chatting, posting excerpts, giving away prizes, and discussing The Healer’s Gift and my other works.  This is my first “take over” event and is called Holiday Author-A-Thon – Barbara Cutrera Takes Over!  :)

Excerpt

With gentle brushes of his tongue, his teeth, and deep breaths that expel hotly against my skin, Trenton travels lower and lower at a maddeningly slow pace, teasing and tickling me.

I writhe on the bed, anticipating his arrival. He sweeps his hand down the inside of my leg, clasps the back of my knee, and separates me a little more. His soft lips drift along my inner thighs. Then he opens his mouth and licks me right where I need him most.

My hips launch off the mattress. “Oh . . . Trenton!”

I feel the hint of a smile on his lips as he returns for more.

I can’t comprehend all of the sensations that blast through me as he repeats the slow sweep of his tongue, dragging deeper and deeper. The sucking . . . the swirling . . . the flicking . . . it’s far too much and too perfect, all at once. I wind my hand in his hair, quaking and panting, my climax approaching—

“Not yet,” he murmurs. “I want to be inside you when you come.”

Excerpt

When I stepped into the living room, my jaw dropped at the sight of him naked.

“Oh, I’m sorry!” I quickly turned away but not before the sight of him was seared into my memory. Images of carved muscles and exotic tattoos danced across my mind.

“Wow, that was quick. I thought you’d be in there longer.” I heard him laugh and the subsequent thud of his drenched sweats being thrown into a corner hamper. “You can turn around. I’m not naked, ya know. Unless you consider being shirtless as naked.”

I turned around and noticed he had a white towel around his waist. His torso was still fully bare though. Tattoos ran along the side of his chest and extended down his arm. They were mostly a mix of tribal designs but one tattoo stood out for

me. A picture of a large hammer was boldly etched on his upper arm. An unwelcome desire flittered in my stomach as I imagined running my fingertips over the inked lines.

I wasn’t opposed to seeing him shirtless at all. Not. At. All.

I forced myself to make eye contact with him, but was surprised to find him not doing the same. His eyes were wide, and they were roaming down and up my freshly showered body.

When his eyes finally met mine, his lips curved wickedly. “You clean up well.”

My cheeks flushed. “Thanks,” I replied, slightly uncomfortable. “I feel a lot better without all that lake gunk on me. I really appreciate the clothes, although they might be a little big for me.” I gestured to the jeans that were threatening to fall down my hips.

He looked me over again, dark eyes subtly lingering at certain parts: thighs, chest, lips. “No, you look good—real good.” His hand gestured to the couch. “Have a seat. I’ll get you some warm tea and a belt. I can get you back to your place after I wash up.”

He grabbed my wet clothes from me and set them down on the kitchen counter while I took a seat on his couch. I thought

it’d be a relief to sit down and relax but I found myself tense and restless, wondering who this guy was and what I’d gotten myself into by agreeing to come to his place.

He went into the kitchen and brought me a cup of tea. It smelled fragrant and spicy and the hot mug felt good in my hands, calming my nerves temporarily. I sipped slowly, enjoying the fluid warming up my chest as he went into his bedroom to search for a belt. Moments later, he returned.

“Thank you so much,” I said as he handed me the belt and sat down on the edge of the coffee table inches away from me.

He, in his shirtless glory, carefully watched me bring the cup of tea to my lips. I brought the edge to my mouth but didn’t drink, too distracted by the desire to touch my lips against the soft skin of those hard pecs right in front of me. I flicked my gaze to his to avoid staring at his chest. The concerned way he studied me with those dark irises matching the color of his damp hair was making me squirm in my seat. Not to mention the peripheral view of that towel around his waist was approaching scandalous. He didn’t cross his legs like I would if I were wearing a skirt and I fought the urge to snag a glance down at that distinctly male area. But it was hard to resist. Was this what it was like to be on the other end of someone trying to cop a peek up your skirt?

“How’s the tea?”

His voice interrupted my thoughts and I hurriedly swallowed a big gulp that burned my throat going down. “Very good, thanks,” I choked. “I feel bad you had to go to so much trouble to make it though. Sorry for being such a burden.”

“. . . Polite too.” He grinned. “Don’t worry about it. It was no trouble at all.” His demeanor was almost the opposite of what it had been at the lake—it was relaxed and warm now. But then again so was mine. The feeling of almost dying must be wearing off for both of us.

“Are you going to have some yourself?” I asked, uncomfortable with how he was just sitting there. Right there. Half naked in front of me with a ‘V’ shaped muscle around his pelvis tempting my eyes to look down to where the slanted lines met. Wasn’t he going to take his shower?

“Probably in a bit.”

Seeing him in no hurry to leave, I wracked my brain for a conversation topic. “So . . .” I looked down at the shirt I was wearing and pinched the lettering to try to end the silence. “Are you in the Air Force?”

He paused for a second longer than I was expecting. “No, I’m just a student. Senior, actually. You go to school here too?”

I nodded. “Yeah, sophomore.”

“Cool. So why did you come to campus so early?”

“I thought it’d be good to have some time by myself to prepare for the semester. You know, mentally prepare and all that.”

He nodded. “Alone time, yeah. Helps to work things out on your own sometimes. People can be stressful, especially at this school where people like to gossip. I swear it’s like every student’s minor here.”

I wondered if his comment was specifically directed toward me and my circumstances. Did he know who I was and my reputation? “Yeah, I’m not too interested in rumors. They’re often wrong anyway.” I shifted my legs and happened to briefly brush against his. I felt my nipples tighten from the unintentional intimate contact.

His eyes narrowed and he glanced at the offending leg. He looked at me for a while, apparently deep in thought. When his eyes glanced down at my chest, I saw an intense flicker in those dark irises—or was it a spark? “Haven’t met anyone here who doesn’t like gossip,” he said smoothly. “You do know you’re at Arrowhart right? Gossip is big here. It’s only normal that you’d be interested.”

“Yeah, I know,” I replied. And boy did I know. “But maybe I’m not normal.”

The smile he gave had an edge to it that made me uncomfortable and aroused at the same time. “I’d say so as well. Seeing imaginary cats and falling into frozen lakes isn’t exactly normal,” he teased, before his voice lowered intimately. “But then again, normal’s boring.”

A heated ache moved through me. Was it my imagination or was he flirting with me? It didn’t seem like he realized who I was. I noticed again how unusually neat the place was. Did he have a girlfriend that cleaned for him? Or his mom? “So do you live here by yourself?” My voice came out huskier than I intended and I cleared my throat, hoping he didn’t notice.

He smiled. “Yeah, I get plenty of alone time here.”

I found that difficult to believe given his devilish good-looks. It would be easier for me to believe if he’d said he had a ticket system for girls lining up outside his apartment door. Maybe even a BYOC policy—Bring Your Own Condom. That could explain the contents of his bathroom trash.

I forced another gulp down my throat, uncomfortable with how being so near him made me restless. “What do you like to do in your alone time?”

“In my alone time?” He cocked a brow and looked at me with curiosity.

I glanced at his sculpted chest because I couldn’t help myself. “Yeah, like when no one’s around, just in private.” I was thinking about how I liked to mope and draw in my alone time and was hoping to find common ground between us. He probably didn’t sit on icy bridges in his alone time but maybe he did something relatable so I could convince him I wasn’t just some depressed girl trying to kill herself.

A glint in his eye, his grin widened. “What do I like to do in my alone time?”he repeated, suggestively. “Oh, just the usual stuff guys do when they’re by themselves. You know, normal stuff.”

Oh no. Was I flirting with him? I’d unintentionally said something that could’ve been interpreted as a reference to his masturbation routine. God, how awkward. This was not my lucky day. I glanced at his towel and noticed a towering bulge that hadn’t been there before. My face flushed. Shit, did I do that?

3 GIRLS AND AN ORGASM

Under His Control – Book 1
Rebecca Dawson’s day couldn’t get any worse, could it?

Backing out of a parking space in an underground garage, she puts a dent in a perfectly restored black BMW. Her first thought was to keep on driving. She couldn’t afford the repair bill or the hike in her insurance premiums. But her conscience wouldn’t allow her to just walk away. She reported the accident and waited to face the consequences. Why?

Because Rebecca always obeyed the rules.

Quinton Sanders had a little ‘kink’ to his personality. He enjoyed teaching a woman what she wanted, and how he wanted her. Trouble was, the last woman he’d wanted hadn’t learned to obey all the rules.

Thankfully fate intervened and he got a second chance with the woman he loved and longed to pleasure.

He had her Under His Control.

WARNING: This book contains material intended for mature audiences only.

This is an erotic novella of approximately 18+ pages

EXCERPT:

Quinton finally had the woman he loved exactly where he wanted her. Well, not exactly where he wanted her. He wanted her in his cottage by the lake where they could have complete privacy and he could have access to all his instruments of pleasure. There was so much he wanted to introduce her to.

Everything at the cottage and in the office was brand new, bought and installed just days before she had walked away from him. He’d wanted everything fresh and untainted, just like he envisioned their life together.

He stood behind her, rubbing her shoulders as she started to twist and turn. “Shhh, sweetheart.”

Rebecca’s fear and anticipation made her struggle all the more. “I do not want this, you sonofabitch. I never wanted this.”

God, she was lying. She’d always wanted this, but never dared admit it to any of her partners in the past. She was not promiscuous. In fact she was very selective, always searching for that
exclusive something. For the man who would take control of her body and give her what she wanted, dominance by a man. She knew that man was Quinton.

Tugging at the chains that held her captive, she glared at him. “Since when do you have to tie your women up?”

“You know why I tie my women up, Becky. You know why I need to tie you up.”

A wave of heat spread through her body, settling low, preparing her for him and what he was about to do to her body.

“You know I would never hurt you.”

That was true. She trusted Quinton more than she’d ever trusted any man.

But trusting him and being mad as hell were two different things. She tried to twist around and knee him in groin.

Chuckling he stopped her movement, squeezing her leg tightly in warning. He turned her away from him and widened his legs to box her in and prevent any movement. He stroked her arms, running his hands across her shoulders, down her back then around the front of her body. He squeezed the abundance of her breasts. Posed as she was, her chest wall stretched, forcing her heavy breasts to be almost perky. She jerked at the chains.

“Don’t struggle. I don’t want to tie your feet. You need some flexibility for what I want to do to you.”

Noah Greyson made it a practice to never mix business with pleasure. But he was finding it hard – in more ways than one–to keep his mind, and his hands, off of his new paralegal. When he discovers her panties in the office bathroom, the scrap of lace forces him to take a chance on pleasuring Tara.

This is an erotica short story of 18+ pages

WARNING:  This material is intended for mature audiences only. This books contains hot office sex between a boss and his assistant

EXCERPT:

“What…what do you want me to do?”

Loosening his tie, he shed it quickly then efficiently flicked opened the buttons of his white dress shirt. He shrugged out of it and it followed the tie to the floor. Tara could  hardly draw a breath. His chest was sculpted perfection, covered in a smattering of dark curls that arrowed downward to disappear beneath his belt.

“Take off your panties, please.”

Tara was beyond thinking about how surreal the situation was. She had the man of her dreams asking her to remove clothing and she wasn’t about to question it. Letting go of the desk, she inched her short skirt up, enjoying the way Noah’s eyes followed the progression as her skin was exposed.

EXCERPT

As he let go, he bit her, making the skin sting, marking her. He took her mouth before she could protest.

His tongue scrapped against her teeth.

“Wider. Open your mouth wider.”

He thrust inside again.

“Open your goddamn mouth wider so I can taste you.”

“Don’t -“

He did.

Kiss her that is. Taking advantage of the moment, he thrust all the way, feeling like he was touching the back of her throat. Time for that later. He gripped her head, holding her still as he ravaged her mouth. Grinding his pelvis into hers, he humped.

He pulled her away from the cabinet and crushed her in his arms. One hand held her head against his shoulder as he continued to torture her ear, the other gathered the skirt of her dress, bunching it, searching for her panties so he could pull them down her legs.

Her butt cheek was bare and he growled. Holy, shit. His fantasy come true.

Just as his fingers touched the lace of her thong, a buzz from the outer office sounded, altering him to the fact that someone had stepped inside.

Gideon was tired of sleeping his way through the female population. But he doesn’t just want a loving wife – he wants an adventurous partner. Someone willing to walk on the wild side of love. And he knows just the woman.

When his demands on the curvy beauty are met with willing submission, will he be the one surrendering his heart

WARNING: Intended for Mature Audiences only. This book contains submission, dominance, spanking and some very interesting uses of an ice cube…

EXCERPT:

“Come here.” He hadn’t straightened from his relaxed position against the door, but she could
hear the steel in his voice.

She tried to speak again, but couldn’t. Well, what did you say when the man of your fantasies told you he wanted you, then ordered you into his arms?

Apparently stand there like a dunce because Daisy didn’t move.

Couldn’t.

“I told you I was going to have you. Now come here.”

She knew she must have the doe-in-the-headlight look on her face, because he smiled. Like a hunter about to pounce on his prey.

“Did that make your panties wet, Daisy?”

If only he knew.

She didn’t know what to do. Yeah, she could order him out and she was pretty certain if she sounded convincing enough he’d turn around and leave without a word. Trouble was, she didn’t think she’d sound convincing. All she wanted to do was walk into his arms.

“If you make me come to you, I’ll have to punish you for disobeying me.” This time he did straighten but neither made a move toward the other.

“Last chance, Daisy. If you don’t come here, I’m going to paddle that big, luscious ass of yours until it’s bright red.”

She groaned and clenched the edge of the credenza to keep from falling into a boneless heap against the floor.

“If that’s the way you want it.” He took a step toward her, then another. “I’m real glad you want it that way, baby. Cause I like nothing better than making my woman obey.”

“I want to teach you how to behave.” His eyes were half closed and the atmosphere in the room shifted. They both knew he was not offering to send her to a seminar on customer service.

She tried not to gape at him like a landed fish. Did he mean what she thought he meant? She never imaged he was a dominant. Not that she knew exactly what that meant. And she certainly never
imagined he’d ask her to be his submissive. He had beautiful women coming and going in and out of his life so fast she was surprised he didn’t have a revolving door in his bedroom.

“You want to tie me up and spank me?” She couldn’t control the sarcasm and didn’t even try

“I definitely want to spank you, Miss Trent.”

The graphic image evoked by his quietly spoken words caused her thighs to clench and she tried not to visibly squirm on the chair. She’d thought of her boss often in those terms, but never in her wildest dreams did she ever think that he ever thought about her. “Would we…where would we, uh, go?

“Do you have visions of crossbars and chains Miss Trent? Submission and domination is not about inflicting pain. To me it is about control.”

“I know.” Macy snorted indelicately. “Men want to control women, especially when they’re having sex.” She couldn’t believe she could sit here with her boss and talk about the subject of sex as casually as if they were discussing the weather.

“Tisk, tisk, Miss Trent. Sex itself is control. Men decide when and where sex is going to take place. During the prelude and the act itself we decide when and where to touch you. Whether we fondle your breasts or see how wet you are. We tell you when to spread your legs and we decide how hard we’re going to pound our dicks inside you. Stroke after stroke.”

She couldn’t control the blush staining her cheeks. Just thinking of him doing all those things to her made her panties wet.

This was definitely not what she’d expected when he’d called her into his office.

“Nothing to say? A first for you, Miss Trent.”

As her lips parted to speak, he held up a finger. “Don’t spoil it now. You dress in those baggy suits and dresses because you’re uncomfortable with your body.”

Damn straight, she agreed silently. She wore a size eighteen. Most women were not comfortable in a body that size.

“I want to teach you about your body. I want to show you what you can endure and what drives you crazy. I want you to submit. To me.”

EXCERPT:

“Strip.”

Macy jumped at the commanding tone of his voice, disarmed by the sudden change in his demeanor. Last night he’d been tender, almost caring, taking her until she begged him to stop. He hadn’t, of course. He’d teased and tormented her, but there had been no cold demands. Nor had she felt that he was emotionally absent. As he was now. This was Logan in full blown Dom mode.

She removed her clothes slowly, her jeans and blouse, then her bra and the matching green thong.

“Come here.” He took her hand and led her further into the room. Within minutes she was positioned in the harness to his satisfaction. He removed his clothes in short order then stepped back to look at her.

“Relax, Macy.” He was so close she could feel the warmth radiating off his skin. The room was cooler than the rest of the apartment and the slight chill made her nipples tighten. His playroom was chilly, deliberately she knew.
His voice was low and deep, commanding. He was deeply into the dominate mode. His grey eyes had darkened, taking on an almost black hue in his excitement. He was incredibly aroused, his breathing shallow and uneven, as if he were forcing himself to maintain control.

The fact that he was as turned on as she was made her shiver with anticipation. She knew a dom/sub relationship was all about control. She’d learned that much. What had taken her some time to understand was that most of the control was in her hands. She wondered if Logan realized she understood that now. Was that why he was pushing her so hard tonight?

The harness swayed slightly as he stepped behind her.

Zoey’s Christmas Surprise
Synopsis
Publication Date: December 4, 2013
Santa Claus is coming to town…Maybe he is, but Zoey wants more than some mythological figure sliding down her chimney—she needs a real man and she’s tired of waiting. But big girls like Zoey don’t get the sexy hunk and the happily-ever-after.Or do they?

Nick Strong had been attracted to his best friend’s little sister from the first moment he’d laid eyes on her. But she was off limits so he’d kept his distance. Until this year when David begs him to do a favor and keep Zoey from being lonely since she can’t get home for the holidays.

Would David approve of his method for making sure the curvaceous beauty didn’t wake up alone on Christmas morning?

This is a short erotic story of approximately 9,500 words

WARNING: This material is intended for mature audiences only. It contains explicit language, holiday romance and a happy-ever-after.

EXCERPT:

It was four days before Christmas and he had accomplished what David wanted – Zoey would not be alone for the Christmas holidays. He just hoped his best friend would understand when he found out how Nick planned on fulfilling his promise.

On his way to her apartment, he’d stopped and bought another bouquet of roses along with a bottle of wine. He didn’t know what they’d be having for dinner, but he knew for a fact what he planned on having for dessert.

Zoey spread out before him with the wine running in rivulets across her breasts and down her mound. He wanted nothing more than to lick her from head to toe and taste all those sweet places in between.

She greeted him at the door dressed in a tight pair of jeans clinging to her bottom like a loving hand. Her sweater was made of a light weight knit with a layered collar and a neckline that plunged down the middle of her chest, revealing the sides of her breasts. If she had on a bra, he could detect no sign of it.

“So are you ready for this pity date?”

Nick stepped across the threshold and backed her against the wall before the words left her mouth. “Let me make one thing perfectly clear. This is not a pity date. This is a date with a man who finds you very, very attractive. Understand?”

He moved closer, allowing her to feel the affect she was having on him. He’d spent every day since David had asked him to look up his baby sister in a constant state of arousal.

Her eyes widened and he almost rethought his whole plan. This was David’s little sister. A woman who was almost ten years his junior. A woman who probably had very limited experience in the bedroom. He knew she hadn’t dated much before college, and he’d only ever heard of one serious relationship during college. Granted, he’d tried not to listen to the details about her life, but he was pretty certain David, being the overprotective big brother that he was, would have told him all about it.

“Any more questions?” Looking at her flushed face and beautiful brown eyes he realized he’d been a stupid, stupid man not to have pursued this attraction years ago.

EXCERPT:

“First, you going to have to convince her you love her. You do love her, don’t you?”

Jake growled.

Robert chuckled. “That’s not going to be easy. You’re going to have to wear down her resistance. She’ll be convinced you’re only after her for sex and sex just for something new.”

Again, another frown from his son.

Robert sighed, how had his boy lived so long and not realize what made women tick. “Do I have to spell it out for you?”

Jake tossed the whiskey down in one gulp. “Apparently so,” he snapped.

“Sophie thinks you’re just bored. Trying something different in the bedroom. She doesn’t believe you find her attractive. Women have hang ups about what they look like. Skinny women want big boobs, big boobed women want small waists. Short women want to be tall,
tall women want to be short, women with curly hair-”

Jake held up a hand. “Okay, I get it. Sophie has some major hang ups because she’s not Cosmos’s body type of choice for women. She’s goddamn better looking than those skinny twigs they put on the covers.”

“Those skinny twigs are what you’ve been dating since you came to Anderson’s.
Especially the last four months. Skinny twigs no doubt Mary Ann has told her about in detail.”

“Well, shit.”

Jake motioned for another whiskey, a double this time. He told the man to keep ’em coming.

McQuade: The Lone Wolf Takes a Mate
Synopsis
Publication Date: September 1, 2013
McQuade Jenner was a lone wolf.He didn’t need some antiquated idea of one mate for life messing up his perfect bachelor lifestyle. On any given night he could find a biker groupie–human or shifter–reckless enough for a one-time fling with a wolf. He could bed a woman when he felt the need and go home to the solitude he enjoyed. And that’s exactly what he’d intended to do the night Rose Spencer walked into his life–alone, wet, and trouble just waiting to happen. He’d never intended to get involved with the innocent Rose–she was a life-time commitment and McQuade didn’t do commitment. But what was a wolf protector supposed to do when the woman his wolf wanted was threatened by a low-life lion shifter?Rose Spencer wasn’t the bar-scene type. She’d never have stepped foot inside the shifter bar unless she’d been trying to protect her sister–again. When would she learn that Alice was quite capable of taking care of herself–and that she was the one suddenly in need of protection?

This is a title intended for mature audiences only and contains approximately 46,000 words.

EXCERPT:

Rose realized she’d made a grave mistake the moment she’d opened the bar’s metal door. Inside were roughly fifty men, and a handful of women. And not one of them was Alice. Why did that not surprise her? She’d probably already found a ride home, having hooked up with some other loser. Who else would she find in a biker bar?

Rose knew how to size up people, especially men. As an emergency room nurse, she’d learned that lesson quickly. Some of the men in the bar were humans but most were shifters. They were all big, bad men. And not in a sexy way. Well, maybe one of them was. The one lounging in a chair toward the back was quite possibly the handsomest man she’d ever seen—a ten in a room full of zeroes. He was smokin’ hot. The quick glance she’d had of his chiseled face and muscular arms had almost made her lose her breath. Everything about him was dark–from his hair and skin to his shirt and jeans. Not to mention the aura surrounding him. He was the epitome of tall, dark and handsome… to say nothing of dangerous.

Immediately her mind went there, wondering how all that testosterone would feel unleashed on her. She wasn’t very experienced but she wouldn’t even mind if he liked it a little rough. The thought of what else he might like sexually had her panties soaked in seconds.Lord, she wanted a bad boy just once!
NOTE

McQuade was not a story we were planning on writing. We were working on the sequel to Beauty and the Wolf – A Mate of His Heart and outlining the short for the follow-up on Leader of the Pack – Bite Me – when McQuade just showed up at our door one night. We hope you like our longest shifter story to date: McQuade: The Lone Wolf Takes A Mate

About the Author

yessi Smith profile photo

I’m a Hispanic living in South Florida with my redneck husband from Texas and our “half breed” son, who is actually the reason I started writing again after years of celibacy. My son loves stories, but not the kind you can read in an existing book. No, he’d rather make up a story, complete with our own illustrations. So, thank you, Son, for igniting a flame I had let go out.
I also live with two dogs: a neurotic Border Collie we call Nitro and a midget Rottweiler named Nisa.
I have always found my sanctuary at the beach and in music and writing. I wish I could write rhymes so I could become a famous rapper, but rhyming is completely lost on me.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Human Resource Management. I have held several jobs, from picking up dog crap to upper management positions. And now I am hoping to leave the business world behind so I can live full time in a world that does not exist until I place my fingers on a keyboard and bring them to fruition.

readong, writing book reviews
I just finished reading, Life’s A Cappella by Yessi Smith.  I have to be honest and admit that when signing up for this tour, chatting with author, and even after having her takeover my Facebook page for a day, I did not really know what this novel was about. Then I began reading the novel. At first I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not. Right off the first page we are introduced to this woman in her early twenties. She is telling us the readers, flat out that her life has been a struggle, that she has moved on and even changed her name. All in the hopes of starting a new life. A life with better memories, a life she can control.
Next we learn that she lives in Miami, Florida. Now this drew me a little deeper into the story-line. Florida is one of my favorite states. One can tell reading this novel and really understanding Erin, that the ocean is important to her . Even Erin mentions several times throughout the novel that the beach calms her. Which is also true for this reviewer. My grandparents lived in Florida up until I was in say the fourth grade. We visited there every summer and Christmas. Lots of Happy Memories were made there, and are still with me now that I am in my forties .
We enter Erin’s world. Her best friend is Camilla. Erin met Erin while in College to be a nurse. Camilla introduces her to few of her close friends. These people make up Erin’s life. She goes to school, works, has her own apartment, and enjoys bonfires on the beach with her friends and a bottle of Patron.
The novel spans around a year and a half of time. Early in the novel Camilla asks Erin to go to Key West with her and their group of friends over school break. Here is where readers are introduced to Trent. Trent will become a main character and the Hero throughout the novel at this point. As well as playing a key role in Erin’s life.
After the break with its wonderful and invigorating trip to the Keys. School begins and so does a new routine for Erin. Now not only does her so called life include her close knit friends, but also Trent. Their relationship builds, and for once Erin’s life seems to be going as planned.
UNTIL…
Her past meets up with her. It is nothing bad. But she does get a shock. This shock complicates her controlled life and her relationships with others.
Erin has never been honest with her close knit of friends. Her past is a constant memory she would like to forget. That is why she moved and changed her name, to give her a redo in life. To be a brand new person, a stronger person.
This shocking news has her mentally and her body language even changes. She is protecting herself, walling her emotions about her past and present life inwardly. She does not need anyone, has never needed anyone. But Camilla and Trent being the close friends they are see that she is hurting. Words are said, that are in the heat of the moment. In the blink of an eye, they learn a part of her past that she never wanted them to know. Camilla tries to reach out to her. But this time with her dear Camilla is coming to an end that Erin does not see coming.
Resulting in Shock #2
(But you will have to read to find out what this is)
Her emotions are in turmoil. Literally knotting her up inside. Days are blurred, days pass. Erin is in so much pain.
Even though Erin had a big fight with Trent, he is there for her during this time. Before they have another argument. However, this most recent argument leaves Erin with new thoughts. So she begins to deal with shock #1, which eventually turns out to be a blessing.
Erin is a survivor. The novel is an experience in Life, with all its ups and downs, and happy middles.
During the novel she learns what being a friend is all about, says “I Love You” for the first time, and learns to truly trust someone. Erin matures throughout the novel. In the beginning she is the Miami party girl slash student. By the end she is complete, her world taken a full 360 degree turn along with her emotions and issues with her past.
I think you will like this story. It is not your average New Adult novel. It is about real type persons whom we may pass no matter where we live. The emotions and challenges faced in the plot, are REAL. The romance is REAL. The story could even be real in REAL Life somewhere out there, and we do not know it…
Do I recommend this novel, YES!!!

3.5 Romance Rating- This novel has tender, loving, romance. But the romance does not distract from the story. The romance is not detailed, the reader just knows what action is being taken at times during the novel. But overall I the important thing is that Erin learns to love and trust in the novel. She puts her past behind her and uses it as a learning experience, not one to keep bottled up. But to open up about it, and learn how to use it to make her future a brighter, happier one for herself and those she loves.

Synopsis

The beginning: A point in time or space where something starts.

32-year-old Sebastian Vanwell, a very successful yacht broker, always loved the design and architecture of a luxurious yacht. His only addiction was being on the water. He loved it, he thrived on it, and he needed it in his life. After a very stable, loving childhood with a few bumps, Sebastian married the love of his life: the one person who he knew would always be there. Julia was his rock, and he loved her more than life itself. Sebastian kept his addiction to the water under control, wanting to keep his time with his wife and son his number one obsession. That was, until he saw her.

Ysabelle Telle hit him hard, knocking the wind from his lungs. This new addiction haunted him, the one compulsion that he couldn’t control no matter how hard he tried. Coming from worlds apart, beautiful, dark complected Ysabelle didn’t have the rich, protected background that Sebastian had. She had lived a life of hell, growing up in poverty and horrific living conditions with a drug-addict mother who never cared. Ysabelle now lived for one person, and one person only: herself. She was pure perfection. Her beauty, along with a flawless body, had men lined up and driveling over her- ensuring her success as a VIP.

There are too many words that describe the effects when two diverse worlds like theirs collide. They both have too much to lose to get caught in the forceful pull, which could destroy them both.

Warning sex/drugs/language. Mature readers only.

i Freaking loved this book… It was an emotional rollercoaster… It held my attention from the very beginning. The story begins with a look into what made Ysa and Sebastian the way they are and how they came to meet..
If you have a hard time with Abuse, Prostitution, drugs, cheating and hot sex then this is not the book for you. If you don’t then buckle up cause it’s an awesome ride.
Ysa grew up in a shitty home a whore for a mom who used her for a paycheck, she didn’t know her father she really had no one. She spent the first 16 years of her life with her mom and learned fairly quickly that she could use her god given assets to get what she wants, especially from the opposite sex. She lost her virginity at the hands of one of her mom’s johns. Awesome MOM of the Year she had. At 16 she found herself out of Tampa and into Miami getting a job and moving in with her boss, Devon, he would be the only true friend Ysa ever had even if he knew nothing about her. 2 somewhat boring years later she found herself literally in the arms of Madam. And with that Ysa became a VIP, not just a VIP but THE VIP..
Sebastian grew up the complete opposite he was loved by his parents his friends and all that met him. He grew up knowing and loving Julia from the time she was born, her parents were best friends with his… it’s kinda inevitable they would end up together right? Enter Julia’s adopted sister Olivia and Sebby’s world was flipped on it’s axis for her from the moment he saw her. But in order for him to have Olivia he’d have to hurt Julia which was something he wasn’t going to do.. stolen moments were all they would have. Tragedy struck and he found himself in the arms of the woman who had been in his life forever Julia. His life was what he thought it should be.. normal, boring and scheduled basically. Then when at a party for a Yacht he just sold his world was flipped again by the green eyes that looked so familiar. He had to know her, just talk to her if anything just be in her presence.. but that would never be enough.. she was a VIP you had to pay for her time… even if it was just to talk…Madam made sure of it.
The twists and turns are crazy in this book and i found myself having emotions that I thought were wrong. so wrong I message the author and asked if I was bad for feeling like Sebastian’s wife should be out of the picture..
please please please go and one click this book it’s awesome and I am hard to get a 5 from.. but this author did it.. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us.

What an amazing debut novel!!!!

If this is the debut novel then I cant wait for more!!!!!!

M. Robinson did a fantastic job to pull me in and make me love the characters and feel their hurt, pain and joy.

I could honestly not see where this story was going. It kept me wondering how in the world will Sebastian and Ysabelle ever meet they come from such different worlds. It was like day and night for me.

I could not put the book down after the first paragraph. I was hooked!!!

Fantastic novel! I want more!!!!

AMAZING- story line, characters, & writing. I was hooked early on!!!! This is book I could have sat down and read in one sitting…but “life happens” LOL! I love how this book made me think and second guess myself continually …”what would I do or what should he do in this situation”? Put on your TBR…you will not regret it.

For Mature Readers 18+

Synopsis

The second book in the Heart of Stone series continues the sensual and emotional story of Tristan and Nina that began in Crash Into Me…

Wealthier and more powerful than most men his age, Tristan Stone merely has to give voice to his desires and whatever he wants is his. Money has given him the ability to say nothing and no one is beyond his reach.

Except for Nina. Stripped of her memory after an accident, she doesn’t remember the man who loves her. Now he must find a way to show her why she fell in love with him, but the past is always just a step behind, threatening to take her away forever.

Unsure of everything about the past four years, Nina believes Tristan loves her. But will the secrets he holds tear them apart just when she needs him most?

Excerpt

I didn’t want to hold back anymore. I wanted her to be mine again, body and soul. Cradling the back of her head, I drew her mouth toward mine and kissed her with all the desire I’d kept bottled up for all those weeks. Her lips were soft against mine but as eager and passionate as I slid my tongue into her mouth to find hers. When she sighed into my mouth, I couldn’t wait anymore.
My hands clawed at the zipper down the back of her dress, but it got stuck an inch from the top. Aching to be inside her, I tore the two halves of the dress apart, ruining the zipper and the dress.
“Tristan, my dress!” she cried as I pulled it from her body.
“I don’t care. I’ll buy you ten dresses just like it,” I panted as I unhooked her bra and slid the first strap over her shoulder. “Same thing with the bra. And if these panties don’t come off easy, I’m going to rip through them too.”
Nina’s fingers tore through my shirt buttons until it hung open, and I quickly shrugged out of it. She was as desperate as I was to be out of those damn clothes. In seconds, she had my belt off and my pants and boxer briefs off my legs, and I had her pushed up against the wall.
As I lifted her off the ground to wrap her legs around my waist, I pressed my forehead to hers and rasped, “I hope you weren’t expecting something slow and gentle. I can give you that, but tonight I don’t want to wait. I need to be inside you, Nina.”
Moaning, she pulled me close, but just then I remembered her sore ribs. Pulling back, I said, “I forgot about what the doctor said. Maybe we should go easy this time.”
She dug her heels into my lower back and pulled my mouth to hers in a deep kiss. Her voice husky, she groaned, “Please, Tristan. I’m not a china doll. I’ll tell you if something hurts.”
I gently slid just the head of my cock into her, still worried I might hurt her if I didn’t take it slow. My body was in agony wanting to bury myself inside her, but I didn’t want to risk bruising those already sore ribs. I could give her gentle, even if every part of me wanted much more.
Nina pushed her palms against my chest and held me away from her. Worried I’d already screwed this up, I opened my mouth to apologize but she touched her finger to my lips to stop me. “Don’t make me wait. I don’t want gentle now. I want you…all of you.”
Her fingers pressed into the back of my neck as I plunged balls deep into her wet and willing cunt. Nothing in the entire world ever felt better than that moment when our bodies joined together as one again. Her body was hot and enveloped me, taking my body to places I thought only existed in my imagination.
