Nestled in the
foothills of the Smoky Mountains, the beautiful town of Paradise is the perfect
place to raise a family, have dinner at the local diner…and chase a ruthless
killer.
Jacob Stone is an undercover DEA Agent dead-set on getting vengeance for his sister’s death. When his sources tell him that the drug dealer he’s been searching for will soon be setting up adistribution center in the seemingly innocent town of Paradise, he moves in for the kill.
What Jake wasn’t
counting on, however, was falling in love with gorgeous Harmony McKinnon – the
ex-wife of the man he was determined to eliminate.
Harmony McKinnon
never believed she’d find love again….not after the horrors she lived through
with her ex-husband. When she meets secretive Jacob Stone and soon falls
in love, she never expected that her life would be in danger again…or that
the man she’d come to trust would betray her.
Can Jake make Harmony
understand his motives? Can Harmony trust him in spite of the past?
Will they have their happily ever after?
Not everything is as it seems in the sleepy, little town of Paradise, Tennessee!
Hard as Stone is the
second book in the Passion in Paradise: The Men of the McKinnon Sisters Series,
but is a stand-alone novel (165,000 words) that can be easily read without
reading the first book.
“Roll on your side, baby. I want to take this sweet pussy from behind tonight.”
“But I like feeling you on top of me,” Harmony said, her cheeks burning with embarrassment at her admission.
“Sweetheart, I love being inside you any way I can get in there, but if you’re on your side, I can give you my dick and my finger on that slick little love button of yours. Trust me, darlin’, you’ll love it when I push that button,” he promised against her lips, nipping her chin with his teeth.
Harmony’s breath caught at the rough edge in his voice and she wasted no time doing as he bid, sighing when his warm lips dropped a kiss against the side of her neck to lick her delicious flesh. She knew the reward that could be found in Jake’s arms if she took her cues from him, and he didn’t disappoint her when his hand dropped between her legs and two fingers explored her saturated folds.
“So wet, baby,” he growled his appreciation, swirling his finger through her slit and over her swollen clit. “I love that,” he encouraged against her ear when her legs spread and her hips bucked against his hand. “Love how soaked and ready you are for me. Let’s see if you’re luscious little body is ready to take my cock yet,” he muttered, twitching his finger against her nub again as he pierced her with two fingers and pulled a low cry from her lips.
Harmony moaned as his fingers impaled her, fucking deep. “Oh, God, Jake,” she choked, rocking her hips back into his pelvis as his fingers withdrew only to sink in again a heartbeat later.
“Oh, yeah, all this sticky sweet honey says you’re more than ready for me, Sweetness,” he growled against her neck as he pulled his fingers from the tight heat of her pussy. “You want my cock, darlin’? You want me to fill you up and take away the ache?” he asked, his words vibrating against her skin as one hand curled around her breast and squeezed the firm globe gently.
“Yes,” she whimpered, pushing her head back against his throat as his fingers stroked through her swollen folds again and teased her clit. “Do it, Jake,” she begged, wriggling her ass against his hardness. His cock rimmed her entrance, offering her just a taste of heaven, but never truly delivering on the promise.
He sucked the vulnerable flesh at her neck; she felt his teeth scrape the shell of her ear. “Tell me first, Harmony. Who do you belong to?” he asked her, plucking her nipple with his thumb and forefinger before tugging it gently and sending a white hot pulse of pleasure from her stomach to her pussy. “Who does this gorgeous body belong to?”
“You,” she managed in a voice strangled by pleasure. Plying her nipple with one hand and her clit with the other, she felt like she was one long exposed nerve ending. “Stop teasing, Jake, and fuck me.” She panted roughly as she wriggled against his onslaught.
Book One:
Sarah
O’Rourke is the alter ego of two best friends who bonded over their passion for
romantic fiction and erotica. Born and raised in the southern United States,
one lives near Louisville, Kentucky, while the other resides in Atlanta,
Georgia. Formerly an accountant and a
chemist, they are now overworked, stay-at-home moms who adore their children,
their husbands…and writing about love in every way possible.
Currently focusing on their Passion in Paradise series, they love to write wildly intense
romantica stories that have multiple characters, but each book focuses on one
specific couple that will ALWAYS have a happy ending…eventually! The Passion in Paradise series follows the
lives of four sisters, who love and infuriate each other – and the men who love
them! Each book is a stand-alone and
does NOT require the reader to have read the prior books.
I was introduced to Hard As Stone and the Passion in Paradise series by the author, Sarah O’Rourke. I was asked about reading and giving an honest review. I agreed and here we are! Now I can honestly say that I AM GLAD I READ Cain’s Salvation and Hard As Stone!!!!
I absolutely LOVE this series and am…
Chomping at the bit for the next novel in he series to come out!!!

From start to end this novel was wonderful!!! I laughed, I cried, and Jake had me SWOONING!!! This novel can be read as a stand-alone or as part of the Passion in Paradise Series. Though I would recommend reading it as a series. The characters are so life-like, exciting, and a total hoot! My favorite character is Aunt Orla. She is just so funny!!!! She keeps me in stitches!!!
The story-line contains sensitive material. But the characters stand strong loving and supporting one another through good times and bad.
Whether you read as a stand-alone or as a series, the authors make it clear the background of the characters. So if read Cain’s Salvation or not, the reader has an understanding of the make-up of each character and what they bring to the series.
Look for little details while reading. These little clues will give you a sneak peek into future reads in the series…
Even though there were a few grammar issues, this was a truly great read!!! So make sure and add this to your reading list. Then laugh, love, and cry with the McKinnon sisters. I promise the men in this novel are so, so, so!!!!!! SWOON-WORTHY!!!!!
3.0 Teardrops
Ok, if you are an emotional reader like I am then make sure and have your tissues handy. The chapters that effected me the most were 10, 11, 33, 34, 54 and 55.

5.0 Romance Raves
The novel begins with Jake’s POV. He is in the I Don’t Care Cafe watching Harmony work and thinking about the first time that he saw her and talked to her at the cafe. Jake describes his business in Paradise, lets readers know a bit of his past and how he looks. He is one tall and yummy drink of water. Just looking at this fine creation will make woman’s mouths go dry. He is just that HOT!!! With his long hair, tattoo sleeve and his Harley he rides into town on…
Read how one man and one woman who thought love was not for them find that special connection. It may take a while for the two to realize their love for one another, but the adventure to get there is sweet and sexy. The McKinnon sisters can be feisty when they want to be. In Jake’s case, that attracts him to Harmony even more. Thus also revs up their relationship. And Jake REALLY knows how to please a woman too! I even sent some scenes to my hubs… he told me they were so naughty…
Will Harmony learn to trust Jake? Will Jake get his Happily Ever After? Shhh… It’s a secret. You will have to read and find that answer for yourself. All I will say is that these men….
really do, SIZZLE up the pages ♨♨♨
I know when I finished reading my Kindle was HOT to the touch!!! So you have been warned. Keep tissues and cold water handy. You are gonna need both…
Happy Reading and Sexy Dreaming,
Anna

Bad things happen in threes. For Nora Jamison, this couldn’t be truer. Her grandmother just passed away, her best friend is in trouble, and she just hit a man with her car. It cannot possibly get any worse. Wrong! Nora quickly finds herself thrust into a world she never knew existed. Werewolves are real, and they are after her and the mysterious stranger she hit. Running for her life, she ends up on a ranch in Texas. Stuck in a new, unfamiliar world, she gets to know the man that helped rescue her. Daniel McKinley is different than anyone Nora has ever met. Despite his rough exterior, Nora can tell there is more to him than meets the eye. However, Nora has a tiny secret of her own. She can only hope that when Daniel learns it he will still look at her the same way.
Daniel McKinley has always been a loner. His father trained him to be an alpha through brute force—not through people skills. Now that Daniel’s older brother is alpha instead, he has become even more of an outcast. Despite their differences, the wolf in him craves the acceptance of his brother—his alpha. While trying to prove himself, he is involved in an accident that draws a human into the line of fire. Unwilling to see an innocent hurt by the enemy wolves after him and his pack, he vows to protect her. Nora is kind, caring, and strong. His past is dark and he fears if she learns too much it will scare her away. Although, he tries to keep his distance, there is something about her that draws him in. Can he keep Nora safe and earn his brother’s trust in the process?
Nora covered her mouth as she yawned. Her eyes focused on the road as she reached down, lifting her coke to her lips. Nora took a long swig before returning it to the cup holder.
The blue-green illumination of the dashboard clock read 12:03 AM. It was late, and she’d been driving for hours, but she would not stop until she reached her destination.
With a trembling hand, she picked up her cell phone and listened to her best friend’s voicemails again. She’d been stuck at work when April had called earlier, and had only just gotten the frantic message when she’d gotten off.
3:56pm
Hey, Nora, it’s April. I just wanted to let you know that I made it home okay. I know this is going to sound weird, but I need you to stay away from the apartment for a few days. I will wire you some money for a hotel. It’d be even better if you found one far away from home. I promise I will try to explain everything soon, but I can’t right now. Just please trust me when I tell you not to go home. I hope you get this soon. Call me when you do. I’ll, uh; I’ll talk to you later, okay? Be safe.
4:15 pm
Hey, it’s me again. Um, listen, my families in trouble, Nora. I think you could be too. I’m going to text you my address. I need you to head down here as soon as you can. Please call me as soon as possible.
The phone clicked, and Nora smashed her finger over the buttons, setting the phone back on top of her purse. Her hands shook as she gripped the steering wheel. Her eyes stared out the window into the pitch-black night. She’d received that ominous message around five hours ago, shortly after she’d left work. She still hadn’t been able to reach her best friend. Every call went straight to voicemail. Terrified, she’d hopped in her car and started the long drive to Louisiana.
Stifling another yawn, Nora glanced over at her GPS. If it were correct, she should reach April’s home within the next fifteen minutes. Once there, she could check on her friend, and find out what the hell was going on.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a blur of yellow making a beeline for the street. She slammed on the breaks, causing the tires to squeal. A man dashed into the road, and she screamed as a loud crunch echoed through the car.
The man’s body rolled up onto her hood, colliding with the windshield. The glass cracked, and tiny spider webs erupted across the window. His body tumbled backwards.
Nora held the steering wheel as a vice, watching in horror as he hit the pavement with an unforgiving thump. He rolled and attempted to stand, but quickly fell back to the blacktop. She held her breath, waiting for him to get up, but he didn’t. Her heart dropped and she took a shaky breath in.
Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god!
Pulse thrumming in her ears, she pushed her door open, unbuckled her seatbelt, and climbed out. Her eyes stayed transfixed on the deathly still person. Nausea churned in her stomach, and she gagged seeing the awkward angle of his arm. Her knees wobbled as she forced her feet forward.
“Please be okay. Please don’t be dead,” she mumbled as she approached him.
Blood oozed into his brown hair, streaking the cocoa strands with red. His chest rose and fell in shallow, uneven breaths. The man coughed, groaning as he rolled. He placed a quivering hand on the road as he attempted to sit up again.
“Thank god you’re not dead! Are you okay? I’m not sure you should be moving,” Nora babbled as she held her hands out, unsure if she should touch him or not.
He twisted, his emerald green eyes connecting with hers. Red dribbled out of his nose, pooling on his lips. His intense gaze gave her pause and she felt her breath catch as she got lost in his beautiful irises.
“Who are you?” he coughed, struggling to his feet.
Nora blinked, snapping out of her trance. “I’m so sorry. Are you okay? I need to call the police. You need to get to the hospital,” she rambled. Heat crept over her cheeks at her own stupidity. She’d hit a man! He needed medical help. How was he even standing? Why hadn’t she brought her phone out of the car with her?
“No!” he yelled, clamping his good hand around her wrist.
Nora jumped at his outburst. Her eyes widened, and pulse kicked up a notch.
“No,” he said quieter. “I…I don’t have insurance. Please, just help me get out of here. Give me a ride to a motel or something.” He stared at her for a long moment. “What’s your name?”
Nora looked down at his fingers that still encircled her wrist. Tiny nicks marred his skin. As she continued to assess him, she saw a large gash along his cheekbone, and blood covered his yellow shirt and dark wash jeans. His left shoulder and arm were mangled, but she couldn’t tell if it was broken or dislocated.
Realizing he was still waiting for an answer to his question, she said, “Nora, Nora Jamison.”
“I’m Daniel McKinley. I think we should get out of here, Nora.” His eyes scanned the tree line to her right and she followed his gaze.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” she asked. “I can call an ambulance—”
“No. Come on,” he interrupted, hobbling forward and pulling her along with him. His fingers were warm on her wrist and a tiny tremor of heat crept through her.
Nora allowed him to lead her as he stumbled to the passenger door and jerked it open. Yelling erupted from the trees, sending cold chills down her spine. Swallowing, she surveyed the brush. Her breath caught in her throat as three men emerged from the tree line, followed by a large grey wolf. How is that even possible, she wondered, eyes transfixed on the large creature.
Nora flinched as the wolf howled and the three men bounded toward them. She took a few steps back, her feet faltering as her butt met her car. Pushing off the steel, she whirled around and sprinted to the driver’s side door. A loud crackle rippled through the air, followed by a groan. Daniel slumped to the ground as his body contorted.
Horrified, Nora watched through the open passenger door as his yellow shirt tore free from his body. Reddish-brown hair erupted onto his back. He positioned himself on his hands and knees, seconds before his back jolted upwards. Another snap sounded, followed by a howl as he sprung forward.
Nora clamped a hand over her mouth as she watched the man become a wolf. She closed her eyes, and opened them again, still not believing. Yet, the wolf remained where the man had been. He lunged at the other wolf catching him mid air, and driving him to the ground.
A sob tore through her throat and she ripped her car door open. Sliding in, she was about to pull the door shut when an arm grabbed the handle, tearing it from her grasp. Warm, calloused hands wrapped around her left forearm and hauled her out of the vehicle. Her attacker yanked her into his firm body, holding her tight.
Frantic, Nora kicked her feet, struggling against the man in every which way, hoping to break free. Another man approached and easily dodged her swinging limbs.
“Get off me,” she screamed, throwing her head back as hard as she could. It hit something hard, and the man behind her grumbled obscenities. Lurching forward, she reeled back again, ignoring the pain slicing through her skull as it connected with the man. The assailant stumbled, his grip loosening ever so slightly. Unwilling to give up, Nora lifted her foot, and slammed her heel down. The man’s arms let go, and she raced forward, using her momentum, she ran straight for the other man. Raising her hands to her face, she swung her right leg, catching him off guard as she connected her foot with his manhood. The man cupped himself, and groaned, falling to his knees.
Her triumph was short-lived as a strong grip wrapped around her torso. No! She bucked against her attacker to no avail.
“You’re going to pay for that you stupid, little bitch,” the man rasped in her ear.
You’re a fighter, Nora, Fight!
Nora thrashed in his arms, but his hold was unforgiving. The man behind her stiffened, his fingers dug into her arms. Snapping her head up, she gasped as she watched the reddish-brown wolf tear into the man she’d kicked only moments before. The man gurgled, sputtering as he coughed. Crimson poured from his mouth as his body trembled. The wolf growled and turned toward them.
“You don’t want to hurt her, do you?” the man sneered as the reddish-brown wolf approached. “You’ll have to come through her to get to me.”
Nora whimpered; cringing away from the man as his hot breath blasted against her neck.
The wolf snarled, baring his massive, white canines. Nora halted her movements, eyes transfixed on the wolf’s golden eyes. His head cocked to the side, watching her before he lunged.
Nora shrieked as she was tossed toward the car. Her hands rose up to protect her face, but it was too late. Nora’s forehead smacked against the edge of the door. Her vision clouded, then went black.
Daniel snapped his jaws as he dove at the man. Like a coward, the human threw the girl out of the way, and spun around to flee to the woods. Daniel grunted as he jumped with his nails outstretched, tackling his enemy to the ground. His jaws clamped around the man’s neck, and with one quick twist, the bones crunched.
With a grunt, he pulled back. His body throbbed and breaths came in unsteady, labored pants. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath in and hobbled over ensuring that the three men and wolf were in fact dead. Satisfied, he sniffed at the young woman. The metallic stench of blood invaded his senses, and he whined as he inspected her. There was a long laceration just above her eyebrow. He nuzzled her, relieved to see that her chest rose and fell evenly.
Daniel took a step back and lowered himself to the ground. Gritting his teeth, he whimpered as his broken body snapped, the bones realigning as he transformed. He stood up with a grimace and stretched his stiff limbs.
Limping, he walked over to the closest man, quickly removed the man’s shoes, and tugged his jeans down. He was sure the young woman was going to have a lot of questions when she awoke, and he assumed it would go a lot better if he were wearing pants. The last thing he wanted was to frighten her anymore than she already was. He stripped the man with a broken neck down to his boxers. Then put the jeans and black tee on. Setting the socks and shoes in the car, he carefully lifted the woman into his arms and laid her across the back seat of her car.
Daniel took a moment to look over the unconscious woman. Her copper hair fell in soft waves. Light freckles sprinkled across her cheeks and nose. The scared amber eyes that had been alert only moments before were shut. Her breathing was even, and aside from a few red marks on her creamy skin, the only visible injury to her was the cut above her brow. She should be okay, he thought, at least he hoped she would be. Once they got someplace a little safer, he would stop and clean her up, and tend to both of their injuries.
One way or another, she was involved in all of this now. It was his duty to keep her safe.
He climbed into her Cavalier and shut the door, taking off down the road.
Nora chewed on her lower lip, taking in Daniel’s shirtless torso. Muscles rippled across his chest as he dodged a punch. He caught his opponent and threw him to the floor. The men around them cheered as the bloodied man held up his hands in submission.
“Daniel’s one of the best fighters here,” April told her.
Daniel turned so his back was to them. He slowly backed away from the fallen man. Nora gasped her eyes transfixed on his back. Long dark scars covered his sweat-covered skin.
“They’re claw marks,” April whispered. “Probably why he’s such a good fighter.”
“Any idea what the tattoo means?” Nora asked as she admired the symbol written on his left shoulder blade.
“I’m not sure.”
“It looks Chinese,” Nora wondered.
April shrugged. “Guess you’ll have to ask him,” she grinned giving her a playful nudge.
Nora snorted. “I haven’t spoken to him since the day I arrived. I’m not sure he wants anything to do with me.”
“He’s been really busy. All the guys have,” April said, earnestly. “They’ve been constructing a new building and putting up fences. From what I’ve seen, he’s not much of a talker either. You might need to approach him. He’s kind of hot.”
“April,” Nora flushed. She put her fingers to her lips hoping no one noticed the heat creeping across her cheeks.
“Well, he is. Clearly you agree.”
“Maybe a little,” Nora mumbled.
April giggled bumping her lightly on the arm. “You should try to talk to him. He’s kind of a loner, but he did risk his life to save all the people who made it out of my pack. He’s a good guy—just quiet. Kind of reminds me of someone I know.”
“I’m not quiet,” Nora huffed.
“Not now. But you used to be when we first met. And you can still be reserved sometimes.”
“Well, I am in a different state surrounded by people I don’t know who just happen to turn into wolves. You’ll forgive me for being a little reserved right now,” Nora replied, rolling her eyes. “Speaking of guys,” Nora started, nodding toward a guy with dark blonde hair and brown eyes. “Who is he? He’s staring at you.”
April followed her gaze. “That’s Jackson.”
“Your on-again-off-again?”
“Yeah.”
“He’s cute.”
“Yes, he is.”
“You two starting something up again?” Nora questioned.
“I don’t know. The romance is there, the love is there, we just can’t seem to agree on anything,” April sighed. “He’s not like Juarez; he would never stop me from doing anything. But, he’s been very vocal about me going to school. I’m kind of an outcast amongst my group. My need for normal, human life is very taboo. At least according to them.” April stood up on her tiptoes and waved at Lark and Natalia as they entered the barn. “I fit right in here.”
“Hi,” Lark smiled as she waved to them.
Natalia gave them a nod and her eyes wandered around the barn. Nora couldn’t help but notice how uneasy the other woman appeared. Nora didn’t know a lot about the werewolf world, but it seemed odd that the alpha female would be so standoffish.
“You feeling up to this?” Lark asked.
“Yeah. I do yoga and run, but April tells me this is a little more intense,” Nora shrugged.
Lark nodded. “It is. Devon and I usually work one-on-one, but with all the new people we want to make sure everyone is prepared.”
“So this is like basic training?” Nora asked.
“You could call it that,” Lark agreed. “I could also work with you on learning to shoot if you’re so inclined. The wolves aren’t too keen on it, but it could come in handy. We humans are at a disadvantage.”
“I’ve never shot a gun before.”
“I’ll teach you if you want,” Lark offered.
Before Nora could respond, Gene’s voice boomed through the crowd instantly silencing everyone.
“Good evening. Thanks for joining us tonight. I thought we’d start tonight off with a run, and then break into groups for sparring. We’ll run a two-mile stretch tonight around the perimeter of the buildings. Everyone take a minute to stretch and warm up.”
Nora lifted her ankle and tucked it up. By chance, her eyes caught Daniel’s, he gave her a small smile and started moving in her direction. Her heart kicked up a notch and she forced an even breath in. However, several feet before he reached her he pulled up short. The smile slipped from his face and he turned around and left. What in the world, Nora wondered.
“Hey, Devon,” Lark greeted, melting into the alpha.
Devon wrapped one arm around her and placed a kiss to her head.
“All right. Everyone warmed up? Let’s get going,” Gene shouted.
“Don’t push too hard, Nora. Stop if you need to,” April suggested as people started filing out of the barn.
Nora grumbled under her breath and she was about to lash out when she noticed Daniel hanging back. This could be her chance to talk to him, she realized.
“I’m fine. But I’ll probably pull up the rear just in case.”
April gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze and then followed Lark, Natalia, and Devon out of the barn.
Nora turned her attention toward Daniel, who still stood against the haystacks. Most everyone had already exited the barn, but he hadn’t moved. Inhaling sharply, she walked toward him.
Daniel’s eyes focused on Nora as she approached. Her copper hair was pulled up, except for a few loose strands around her face. The black tank top and shorts she wore clung to her body accentuating every glorious curve.
“Hi,” she greeted.
“Hey.”
“You running tonight?”
“Yeah. I like to run alone though, so I usually give everyone a few minute head start.”
“Oh.”
Daniel grimaced realizing how she probably took that. “I mean,” he cleared his throat. “We could run together if you’d like.”
Her eyes lit up and a smile slid across her face. Daniel relaxed, relieved. He gestured for her to lead the way.
Once outside, they both started at a steady jog.
“Do you do a lot of running?” Daniel asked after several moments of silence.
“On the treadmill. This is a little bit different,” Nora admitted, sucking in a deep breath through her nose. “What about you? Do you do a lot of running like this?”
“I’m more used to being in my wolf form, but this is nice too.” When she didn’t say anything else, he elaborated. “It’s more intense as a wolf. You can see things, feel things; everything is so much more vivid.”
“That must be nice. I saw you fighting earlier. You’re pretty good.” She cleared her throat and sucked in another breath. Daniel peered over at her to make sure she was doing okay. A fine sheen of sweat glistened on her brow, but her breathing seemed even. Her head turned toward him. “Maybe you could, uh, teach me how to fight too.”
Daniel hesitated for a moment, causing his steps to falter. She wanted him to teach her. “I’ve never really taught anyone. I’m not sure I’d be a good teacher.”
Nora shrugged, pushing forward. “I’m sure Devon or Gene could teach me then,” she replied after a long moment.
Daniel gritted his teeth. Great, now she thinks you don’t want to, he berated himself. “I could give it a try.”
“Thanks.”
“I’ll team up with you when we break down into sparring teams.”
“I’m not really a fighter. You might have your hands full,” Nora admitted, casting a glance his way.
“We all have to learn sometime. Besides, I’ve seen you in action. You have good instincts. I’m still not sure how you did that flip thingy when that guy had you over his shoulder,” Daniel admitted. He’d never seen anything like that before.
“I took gymnastics as a kid and I’ve been doing yoga for years now.”
“I think you’ll do just fine.” He nodded toward the light of the barn. “Home stretch.”
Daniel stood up, walked to the dresser, and set up the computer. He tapped something and the red screen popped up.
“Avengers?” Daniel asked.
“Sure,” Nora said sliding back so she was lying on the pillows. She patted the spot next to her and Daniel lay down, resting one arm behind his head and pulling her close with the other.
Nora sighed relaxing her head against his chest. The movie started and she smiled as Daniel’s hand rubbed tiny circles into her back.
Nora grunted as her warm cushiony pillow moved out from underneath her. Her eyes fluttered open and she squinted in the darkness. Daniel’s silhouette moved toward the laptop. The screen was black as white names scrolled over it. She’d missed the entire movie.
She sat up and stretched her arms up and over her head.
“I didn’t mean to wake you,” Daniel whispered, dragging his finger over the touchpad.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t a very good movie buddy,” Nora smiled. “Did you like it at least?”
“It was good. I heard there is a third one coming out, maybe we could go see that together,” Daniel offered.
She didn’t think the other movie was coming out for some time yet. That meant he didn’t know that, or he was planning to be with her for a long time. “I’d like that.”
Daniel shifted on his feet. “It’s late and we have an early morning,” he said, running a hand through his hair.
Did he want to stay but didn’t want to force it or was he trying to get out of staying, she wondered. He wouldn’t have spent all evening with you if he didn’t like your company, she reasoned. “Will you stay with me again tonight?” She tucked locks of hair behind her ear as she peered up at him.
“Yeah,” Daniel said. “Do you mind?” he asked. His hands rested on the hem of his shirt.
Nora licked her lips and shook her head. Her breath caught in her throat as she rose up to her knees. Feeling bold, she rolled her shirt up and let it fall to the floor. Daniel’s eyes appraised her for a moment before he lifted his shirt up revealing his taut upper body. She reached out, skimming her fingers up his chest. Daniel bent down, his lips capturing hers. Gently, he pushed her back until he hovered over her on the bed. His stubble scratched at her mouth as his tongue met hers. Nora moaned into his mouth as heat pooled between her thighs. She needed him.
His hand dipped down between them, flicking her jeans open. Nora gasped as his warm fingers slid down into her panties and he inserted one digit inside of her. Daniel kissed down her neck and shoved her bra strap out of the way, as he peppered his way to her breast and took the mound into his mouth. Nora cried out as he added another finger.
Her hands flew to his hair. She threaded her fingers through his thick locks. His free hand found her other nipple, and he rolled the tight bud between his fingers. Nora’s hips rose up greedily meeting his thrusts. His digits slipped in and out of her folds as her core ached for more.

5.0 Rose of Writing Rave
Werewolf Wars Book #3, Finding Our Way follows right off from the end of Book #2, Into the Unknown. Getting the readers attention and directly into the action of the story. Chapter one introduces the reader to the Hero and Heroine of this novel. Thus where the heroine is thrown right in the middle of the war and learning that werewolves exist. Each chapter will leave the reader wondering what threat is will be around the corner next.
In reading this novel I especially liked that the characters from Books one and two weaved in and out of the storyline. The way they interacted with the main hero and herione made the story seem so real. Plus it was nice as far as learning about these characters more and just how important family is to them.
The writing flowed, the plot took twists and turns. Just wait till you read about Sarah in this book!!!
The women are shown as hard workers. They want to do their share in protecting the family and the pack. Deep inside the human females may be scared, but they show courage, bravery and strength when needed throughout the plot of the story. The ending of the novel will have you craving more from this series.
2.0 Teardrops
Both Nora and Daniel have had unhappy childhoods. When each shared that part of their lives of course this reader had to get a little emotional. You know I am just a big old emotional reader. So to hear how they were treated growing up it just made me sad. It made me want to fight for them to be a couple. Both would like to find that someone special. Yet, both have secrets that may change how they see each other. Plus the whole war situation has everyone on edge making emotions run high for everyone in the novel. You will just have to read and see how emotional things can be…
4.0 Romance Rave
The hero and heroine have an instant attraction starting from the first time they ‘run into each other’. However the relationship builds bit by bit with Nora and Daniel. Each would like a relaltionship with the other, but secrets and trust issues cloud their hearts. Yet, as they get to know each other better they grow closer to one another. There is constant danger lurking from the enemy Pack. This danger plays a big part in how these two feel for each other. Each wants to protect the other. Which ramps up the romance placing this sweet couple in each others arms. For who knows what tomorrow will bring…

Synopsis
I was invisible, until they saw me.
When circumstance forced me and the Jacob twins to spend two weeks of the summer together, the bond we formed would impact us all, altering our lives.
Fate, entwining us forever.
They became my best friends, my family, my first love.
With their love came their father’s hate! Love is powerful but also painful and destructive when it’s torn between three people.
When my mother’s reputation and their father’s vile actions damage that love, that friendship, it changes the dynamics of our trio setting me on a path of love, loss and impossible decisions.
Jared the beautiful rogue, who pushed her limits, opened her eyes and owned her heart.
Their love was powerful, everlasting… until he abandoned her.
Justin, loyal and true, picked her up when she was left fragmented.
He made a place for himself in her heart and would fight to keep it.
When both twins come in and out of Meadows life, leaving damage and hurt in their wake will she ever choose one or the other, or leave them both without the beats in their heart?
I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters. I wanted to be an actress growing up so I could live many roles but I learned early on that my mind was too active, I would want to change the script. I would watch films and think of ways they could of improved the story if they took another direction.
My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling too.
When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life, but when I do get down time, I love attending music concerts with my younger sister, who shares my reading soul, we are two peas in a pod.
**Trigger warning. This novel contains situations of perversity and dubious consent. It is not a love story, but more of a journey through a few short days in the life of a madman. What you see is not always what you get, reality is altered through his eyes and sometimes there is no happily ever after.

EXCERPT:
As I approach my office, I am hit with a familiar scent. Cigarette smoke. An earthy, fragrant smell that tickles the edge of my memory. I know this brand from somewhere, but I don’t know where.
I follow my nose down the short hallway to my private area and open my door.
Smoke hangs heavy in the air, clouds of it billow away from me as I enter. I cut a path through to find out who fucking dares to pollute my office like this.
“Shut the door, Alexandre,” a smooth female voice announces as I enter my space. I turn and see a figure seated on the couch, a halo of pure white smoke envelops her head and she exhales a languid breath that lingers as she speaks. “We need to talk.”
I don’t know why, but I obey. I shut the door, turn back again and look at her. She seems familiar; I think I’ve seen her before. She’s wearing a cherry red cocktail dress, dangerously high black leather heels and elbow length white silk gloves. Her hair is black and falls in waves around her face; her eyes are just as dark. I stare into them and wonder if they ever end.
“Who are you and how did you get in here?” I demand and walk to the window. “Please put out your cigarette, this is a no smoking office,” I continue and slide the glass open.
“I don’t want to, I feel more comfortable with a cigarette in my hand,” she purrs and smiles at me. Her lips are dark red and her teeth are perfect, white and straight. She’s an incredibly beautiful woman. “Think of it as part of my…treatment.”
“Why are you here this early? Who scheduled you? And once again, how did you get in?” I demand again. She laughs and leans back on the couch, her long legs stretch out in front of her, emphasizing their perfect shape.
She doesn’t answer, but says, “Doctor, I believe I have an urgent issue we need to address. Please,” she gestures towards my desk, “have a seat.” She draws one last breath from her cigarette, exhales as I sit and butts it out on the bottom of her shoe. Red, Louboutins. In a flash I remember where I’ve seen her. Just last weekend at the restaurant. She was there, was she watching me?
I take my seat. She doesn’t seem like the type I want to argue with, at least not until I get to know her. I decide to go along with her little game and give her the illusion of being in control until I can determine how she needs to be treated. “Well? What is this about?” I ask and set my satchel down on the floor next to my chair.
She takes the cigarette butt and flicks it onto the floor at her feet. She leans back again and looks me up and down, landing on my face, her own a mask of disapproval. “You have been a very, very wicked boy, Alexandre,” she says, her voice still a purr. She has the slightest accent and draws out the last part of my name with a sexy drawl. It’s not Russian, Eastern European perhaps? Middle Eastern? I can’t tell, and with her ambiguous dark features, I couldn’t put a finger on her ethnicity either. She’s beautiful and a complete conundrum.
“Why would you say that, Miss…what did you say your name is?” I ask her, leaning across the desk. I forgot to give the surface a swipe yesterday afternoon and it still carries the slightest pungent scent of the sex that happened on it. A gentle nudge, a reminder of the wicked things I have done.
“I didn’t,” she says and smiles. She almost moves in slow motion as if underwater, elegant and purposeful. “I’ve been watching you, Alexandre, and I’ve seen you get up to all kinds of terrible things.”
“What kinds of things?” I ask her, deciding to continue engaging in her little delusion until I know more about her.
“Things to women, vulnerable women,” she says and raises an eyebrow. “Patients, women you pick up in bars, online…you are very busy and very wicked.”
“How do you know this?” I ask her, feeling rather uncomfortable at this particular line of accusation. I’m very careful with my activities, especially with patients. “Have you been following me?”
“Not following, but watching. They’re very different thing. I’ve had my eye on you for a while now, you know,” she tells me and watches my reaction.
“What is your name?” I demand again, feeling that familiar sharp prick of anger rising behind my eyes.
“My name is unimportant. You may call me Mistress.”
“Mistress?” I repeat and laugh, “I don’t think it’s appropriate to be calling you that. Now please tell me your name so I have something to call you.”
She leans forward on the couch, crosses her ankles and stares me down. After a moment or two of uncomfortable silence, I realize I have to capitulate to get anywhere with her.
I shuffled a few papers on my desk, look back at her and say, “Fine, Mistress it is. Now why are you here…Mistress?”
She licks her lips and leans back again, extends her beautiful legs and folds her hands on her lap. She is perfection and she knows it. That irritates me somehow and yet I can’t help but hang on her every word. The anticipation of her reply is coursing through my veins.
“I already told you,” she says in her low, melodic voice, “I am here because you have been wicked. I am here to punish you.”
I’m not that into BDSM. I like to tie people up and I am the consummate Dominant man if it comes right down to it…but the way she says it, in the mysterious accent, sends a thrill down my spine. I lean farther across the desk, look her in the eyes and say, “How are you planning on punishing me?”
Dr. Alexandre Dane is a very twisted albeit absolutely gorgeous alpha male psychologist. He is a highly sought after in his unconventional treatments for women whom been through some hellish pasts. There is a method to his madness – treating these women the exact same was they have been treated seems to play into Alexandre’s sick, twisted and manipulative sexual kicks. Alexandre is a sexual deviant who thrives on his patients most vulnerable and painful humiliating atrocious acts in the past. He is a true sociopath and I believe he is about to meet his match.
“I like them to go through all the emotions I am incapable of. My fetish is humanity, and I want to drain my balls into the sticky, hot mess of feelings that I bring up in the bitches stupid enough to open their bodies to me.”~Dr. Alexandre Dane
5 – Hearts – No Hero Here
Sometimes I do feel for this devil in disguise, at times his flashbacks show sharps memories from his childhood that are a bit disturbing at times and make me cringe and sorta want to reach out to him. His father was a distant, alcoholic womanizer who used Alexandre as a cover. His mother was also distant emotionally and mentally although somehow I get the impression she was not so distant physically. I believe she was a creeper who damaged her son’s psyche from the early stages of puberty on up until his adulthood.
“Slapping pinching red fingernails forcing me to sit for hours until it hurts. I can feel her long fingers wrapping around me, touching me and whispering, ‘Nobody will ever love you like mommy does.’ ~Alexandre
Still Dr. Dane does have someone, his Go-To if you will, someone that is always there for him to talk to, someone that truly listens to him. Jane seems to be his exact opposite, she is attractive but so very plain, yet she is always there for him when he needs her. At times Alexandre thinks this would be his ultimate trophy wife to stave off the vicious rumors that are circulating in his office and among his prestigious colleagues.
“Have I been blind this entire time? Fumbling through the darkness unable to really connect to another human being when it might have been simple human touch I was seeking all this time?” ~Alexandre
“I know how you are and I know how we would be together. I would always be chasing you. Living in your shadow and wondering who you’re with when you’re not with me.” ~Jane
5 – Dastardly Dubious Consensual and Non-Consensual SEX!
And so we meet a woman who will be Dr. Dane’s downfall! She is the exact replica of him only in a woman form. She has long legs encased in black stockings, a very short, tight fitting cherry red cocktail dress, elbow length white evening gloves and wearing elegant black strappy heels. Her cherry red lips are smoking a cigarette and Alexandre is entranced and in lust with her immediately. She will show him exactly what he has been doing to others tenfold, he will call her MISTRESS.
“I want to taste her mouth, I want to slide my tongue in between those lips and suck the nicotine from her moist insides. I’m not a smoker, but my body craves her taste.”~Alexandre
“Your intention all along was to please yourself. I am simply showing you what happens to very wicked boys.” ~Mistress
I wonder will you all shed a tear for Dr. Dane? Does a teardrop fall for those women in his therapy experiments? Do you have a tear left for poor old plain Jane? I wonder if you will feel as I did when I finished this brilliant psycho traumatic mind binder. I’m sure my mind has been bent, busted, and completely blown!
Thank you Jaden Wilkes, you wicked, wicked wacky woman! I loved every drop you wrote!

Excerpt 1
He rolled and attempted to stand, but quickly fell back to the black top.
He twisted, his emerald-green eyes connecting with hers.
He lunged at the other wolf catching him mid-air, and driving him to the ground.

On the cusp of success…
Dillon MacAvoy has one goal–to become a star–whatever it takes. Even if it means honing his bad-boy can’t-be-tamed-and-forever-single image. Besides the image isn’t far from the truth. Dillon cares only about his younger brother and his career. He’s on the brink of superstardom if he can just decide on the next right script. But for that, he needs a script reader he can trust.
In a strange twist of fate…
Lane Channing is Dillon’s last chance. If Lane lasts the summer without becoming MacAvoy’s latest conquest, she’s guaranteed a job in entertainment. No problem, as long as she can ignore the heat that pulses through her every time Dillon is in the room. After all, love and commitment with a sweet, hometown girl would only ruin the Dillon MacAvoy brand.

I was introduced to this series by AToMR Tours. I signed up to read and review book #1 and enjoyed it so much I just had to read and review Broken Glamour, Book #2 in the Glamour Series. I am so happy to have found this wonderful series!
The title of this novel can be seen throughout this whole novel, starting right from the beginning. Each of the main characters is broken in very different ways, yet also much the same. The story is emotional with both sad and tender elements.
Can LOVE mend what is broken in this hero and heroines hearts???

4.0 Roses of Writing Raves
Broken Glamour stays right in line from where Hard Glamour left off. About a year has passed and one wedding is taking place while another is being planned. Will either marriage be a happy one? Shh… I am not going to tell. You will just have to read and find out for yourself. All I will say is that a father and daughters relationship will be placed in jeopardy and two people who know one another become an unlikely star couple.
The writing flows from the pages. The story line lends itself so that the reader wants to keep on reading to know more, more, more…
I did not want to put this novel down. I stayed up nights reading it. Actually starting the read as soon as I received it and ahead of others.
Each chapter lends a voice to the main couple in this novel. So each chapter has POV sections that focus on either Amanda oe Ryan.
Grammar is excellent, the other story characters float in and out to enhance the story.
I have to admit my favorite parts are the scenes with the dogs…
2.5 Teardrops
Overall this was a wonderfully written modern-day romance read. The hero and heroine had many ups and downs. These ups and downs did have an emotional impact on me. Especially since I am an emotional reader anyway. The tears fell for me in chapters twenty and twenty-two. With tears falling faster and harder in the latter chapter. I had my pillowcase soaked in my tears. Their romance was so tender and heartfelt…
4.0 Romance Rave
Ah! This novel was filled with kisses, touches, and so much more. Each chapter had some element of romance. From sweet and gentle to hot and naughty!!! Whether it was actual or suggested, romance can be found from beginning to end in this read…
Here are some of my favorite quotes from Broken Glamour.
“Amanda, Amanda, Amanda.” The whisper of her name on my lips, a tremble from the base of my spine rumbled through my body. My breath jolted out of me in sharp bursts. I doubled forward until the hot throbbing jolt of come spurted from me. I pressed my forehead to the cool tile surface, my body spent from the rush. This desire for Amanda was deep and fierce and dangerous and I didn’t want it to end. ~ RYAN
He leaned closer. He whispered into my ear, “I’m going to break every rule when it comes to you.” He pulsed his finger against my clit. “I am going to sit here and make you come right now in front of all these people. And then, then I am going to take you home and I’m going to fuck you. I’m going to fuck you all night and all of tomorrow and I am going to fuck you so long and so hard that there is no doubt in your mind that you are mine. That I have claimed you and that you are no one else’s, not now and not ever. Not if you leave me, not if I leave you. It doesn’t matter, Amanda. Do you understand?” ~ RYAN
Tonight, letting Ryan touch me like that, in such an intimate way in such a public place had meant something to me. More than just getting off. I allowed it to happen and I gave him a piece ofme.
My mistake. ~ AMANDA
Cool air-filled my lungs and my practiced calm clung to my face. Showing emotion, telling Ryan my feelings, would get me nowhere. I would die inside, but that would be my private experience, not one I shared with him. I’d already given him too much. Shame surged through my chest. ~AMANDA
I hope you will enjoy this read and series as much as I have. Now just waiting for book 3 in the series to come out. This one will be about Amanda’s brother…
Whoever said money couldn’t buy happiness has never starved a day in their lives.
My name is Aria Valencia, a third year classical music student at the university, and I was down to my last dollar. Some nights, I seriously considered working at the rippers just to make ends meet, but the thought of my dad’s spirit–God rest his soul–scowling at me while I danced up on some drooling degenerate was enough to turn me off the idea completely. And then one night, chance came knocking on my door under the guise of the Midnight Society, a secret cabal comprised of the most wealthy and influential souls this side of the Universe. Their leader was a man named Shadow, who was equally enigmatic as he was gorgeous and, for some mystifying reason, had his dark brooding eyes focused on me. Seduced by the promises of fame and fortune in exchange for a seemingly innocent request, I soon found myself drawn into a provocative world filled with both vast riches and unending lies and it didn’t take long for me to realize what being a part of the Midnight Society actually entailed: shiny things, sensual romance, and dead bodies. Being with Shadow came with a terrible price, one that I wasn’t willing to pay. There’s a dark side to every love story, and this one was mine.
