“Is this… JB the Dom talking… or Officer Bradley wanting to protect and serve… isn’t that the police motto?” My free hand delved beneath the table to place my palm on her knee which she still had crossed over the other one. I gently circled my thumb against the smooth flesh.
“Something like that. But to answer your first question, this is definitely the Dom talking.” To prove my point and to give her a sample of what it would be like I gripped her knee and despite her gasp of shock, manoeuvred it so her legs were now uncrossed and slightly apart. My fingers were itching to dive in and feel if she was wet but I restrained myself; after all we were in a public place

~☆A man jogged a few hundred yards behind her. A ball cap shrouded the man’s face in darkness. He wore a black tee and black pants further adding to her discomfort. Chills zipped down her spine. Even though she was a werewolf, capable of defending herself, she was still a woman alone at night.
Why was he wearing all black? I thought you were supposed to wear bright clothes at night. Or is that just to keep you from getting hit by a car? She glanced up to the road that ran alongside the beach. Empty. Not a car or soul in sight. Perfect.
Rhea licked her dry lips and pushed her legs to move a little faster. Too bad she wasn’t in her wolf form. She could outrun the man in a heartbeat. As a human, she was fast, but not as quick as she’d like. Maybe he’ll go away. I’m sure he doesn’t want any trouble.
She peeked back over her shoulder. Crap. He’s gaining on me. What if he’s a werewolf too? Oh God. What if the pack found me? No.

nWhy do I hurt so badly? Eden groaned as she attempted to roll over. Her stiff muscles refused to move, and a throbbing pain shot up her arm and into her chest. Fog muddled her brain, but she fought through the haze as she blinked her eyes open. The room was pitch-black. She squinted, trying to see in the darkness, but the floor lurched beneath her, jostling her injured body. Her vision blurred and she whimpered as she tried to sit up. I can’t move. Why can’t I move? Her arms and legs were bound and her body lay against an icy, steel floor. Where am I?
Panic engulfed her and she struggled against the white-hot pain erupting through her. Why can’t I move? What is going on? Memories flashed in her mind and she coughed as realization hit her. Hunters. Ray. We were kidnapped. Xander? Where is Xander?
“Xander?” she called out her voice barely above a whisper. She cleared her dry, sore throat. “Xander? Xander?”
