I was given a copy of this book for a honest review…
Such a great ending to this series, everything was wrapped up and there were no unanswered questions in the end. Overall it was a great read and full of lots action that literally kept Sarah and Vincent on the run non-stop till the very end of the book.
Sarah, was a lot more confident then I first assumed she was and suffered from more guilt then I first thought. When she thought she did the right thing with Preston only to have him end up being killed she took on so much guilt due to her telling him no.
Vincent, he was more down to earth then you would think from the previous books. The always joking werewolve did it more out of a self defense so no one would know how much he was effected in the end by his fathers disappointment.
The epilogue I loved it! You get to see how each couple is doing in the end and how theyre all dealing with life now a days minus all the drama of being at war on a daily basis.
Emily McKinley has been a prisoner in her own home since she began her first heat cycle. As a rare female wolf, and the alpha’s daughter, she has led a sheltered life. Marcus is everything she could possibly want in a mate and more, but he isn’t an alpha, and her father will never approve. Unable to deny their mutual attraction, Marcus and Emily find themselves falling for each other. But Emily’s world comes crashing down when her father orders her to become a breeder for a misogynistic pack. She tries to protest her father’s decision, but the more Emily fights, the more dire the situation becomes. Emily must make a choice, stay and lead a life as a submissive female, or run and put everyone she loves in danger.

She knows that they are werewolves, but it doesn’t matter. They are her family. When Devon Harris shows up at the ranch, Lark finds herself instantly drawn to him. However, Devon makes it clear that he wants nothing to do with her. But when enemies attack the ranch, Lark and Devon find themselves working together to save the people they love most. Their mutual attraction intensifies the more time they spend together. Lark has known werewolves existed for some time, but she never knew how dangerous they could be.
Devon Harris has lived under his stepfather’s tyranny for too long. When his stepfather forms an alliance with a dangerous werewolf pack, Devon knows it is time to leave. He and his younger siblings seek refuge at his Uncle Rick’s ranch. There he meets the fiery human Lark. Devon instantly feels the attraction to Lark. With a war between the packs on the horizon, Devon tries to keep Lark at arm’s length. As battle lines are drawn, and Lark is sucked further into his world, Devon can no longer ignore Lark’s allure. Can Devon protect his family and keep her safe? He can only hope.
After the devastating loss of his father, Gene Harris has become the alpha of his werewolf pack. He has been training for this his entire life. But nothing could have prepared him for the brewing war, or the beautiful alpha female, Talia. Gene is instantly drawn to the mesmerizing she-wolf. He wants to trust Talia, but it’s hard to trust anyone–especially when they are related to your adversary. Enemies are everywhere, and Gene must fight to protect his pack.
Natalia ‘Talia’ Alvarez grew up away from the pack. Talia’s first encounter with werewolves was when she was abducted and taken prisoner by her grandfather. This experience leaves her weary of her werewolf heritage and unable to trust her rescuers. As a new mother protecting her son is her first priority. Talia knows her only chance at freedom is to team up with Gene. Talia finds herself falling for the alpha as they begin to work together. The thought of trusting Gene terrifies her, and she can’t help but wonder if he will betray her too.
Bad things happen in threes. For Nora Jamison, this couldn’t be truer. Her grandmother passed away, her best friend is in trouble, and she just hit a man with her car. It cannot possibly get any worse. Wrong! Nora quickly finds herself thrust into a world she never knew existed. Werewolves are real, and they are after her and the mysterious stranger she hit. Running for her life, she ends up on a ranch in Texas. Stuck in a new, unfamiliar world, she gets to know the man that helped rescue her. Daniel McKinley is different than anyone Nora has ever met. Despite his rough exterior, Nora can tell there is more to him than meets the eye. However, Nora has a tiny secret of her own. She can only hope that when Daniel learns it he will still look at her the same way.
Daniel McKinley has always been a loner. His father trained him to be an alpha through brute force—not through people skills. Now that Daniel’s older brother is alpha instead, he has become even more of an outcast. Despite their differences, the wolf in him craves the acceptance of his brother—his alpha. While trying to prove himself, he is involved in an accident that draws a human into the line of fire. Unwilling to see an innocent hurt by the enemy wolves after him and his pack, he vows to protect her. Nora is kind, caring, and strong. His past is dark and he fears if she learns too much it will scare her away. Although, he tries to keep his distance, there is something about her that draws him in. Can he keep Nora safe and earn his brother’s trust in the process?

EXCERPT:
“He came to me then, kneeling on the bed before me. He grasped my shoulders, supporting me as he bent down for a deep kiss. It was sensual and gentle; not the type of kiss I was expecting. He lifted his head, his eyes watching mine almost like he was assessing if I was ready. I was as ready as I was ever going to be.
He stared at me with a smouldering look and casually hooked his thumbs under the shoe-string straps of my nightie to ease them off my shoulders, down to my elbows. He smiled wickedly as he eyed my now-revealed breasts. Not satisfied with me being half-naked, his fingers lazily pushed the straps lower, until they fell from my arms and the red silky garment sat in a pool around me.”

Brendon is an AFL footballer who advertises on the internet for a submissive. Suzie, a secretary at Homicide Squad, is curious and answers his ad.
Theirs is a story plagued with anguish and subjugation, as they each struggle to find themselves; from the thrills of power play to the depths of self-degradation. They are both inexperienced in the roles they play and as this tragic relationship develops, Brendon and Suzie each realise they want more.
Will Suzie get the respect she deserves and will Brendon finally admit how important she has become?

EXCERPT:
“How do you feel right now, one word answer?”
That was easy, in a word, “Vulnerable.”
“Better, it’s a step up from nervous. Are you feeling aroused, yes or no?”
It was hard to admit, especially with him standing over me like he was. “I don’t know….”
“Yes or no?”
After a brief pause, I confessed in a small voice, “Yes.”
“Good, come with me.” In a controlled movement he brought me to my feet. He held my bound hands in one of his and grabbed the paperwork with the other. He headed for the stairs, pulling me along behind him. He was forceful yet took the steps at a slow pace so I didn’t stumble.
It was an overwhelming experience, heightened by the fact he didn’t speak nor once look back at me.

As a tribute, Chrissy’s family and friends, her husband Charley Drayton, fellow songwriters, Cancer Council NSW and supporters from around the globe have come together to make sure Chrissy’s legacy lives on to remind women to be in touch with their bodies, and if something’s not right, see their doctor.
Ten of Australia’s greatest singers: Connie Mitchell; Deborah Conway; Kate Cerebrano; Katie Noonan; Little Pattie; Megan Washington; Olivia Newton-John; Sarah Blasko; Sarah McLeod; and Suze DeMarchi have come together to make Chrissy’s final wish a reality.
