Warden

Excerpt:
‘He was just walking past the window to grab his clothes when a flash of flesh from below caught his eye. Cali was dressed in her usual tight shorts and sports bra but it wasn’t the sight of the willowy blonde that had him freezing in his tracks. No it was the shorter, curvier red head, dressed in tights and a belly-revealing singlet top. She was bending over, head flush with her knees, arms wrapped her legs with all that glorious hair brushing along the ground. So much for negative reinforcement, he thought as he glared accusingly at his once again rigid dick. The woman’s arse was a thing of beauty, all round and firm, and his hands literally flexed with the need to touch. As if sensing his gaze, Max whipped herself upright, her turquoise gaze latching onto his form that was no doubt outlined perfectly in the early morning light. Hell, the window he was standing at was even arch-shaped, like he was posing for some cheesy romance novel or something. Panicking and acting purely in self-preservation rather than rational thought, he allowed his limbs to go loose and face-planted on the floor below the window.
For the next five minutes he could do no more than mewl like a kitten … he had landed directly on his stiff cock.’ Copyright 2015 Montana Ash. All rights reserved.

Paladin

Excerpt:
‘Diana wasn’t sure what the tiny evil female had said to the man but Darius was now staring at her with hungry eyes and she found herself instantly hypnotised by the raw desire burning in their depths. Standing up and marching purposefully from the room, she felt helpless against his magnetic pull and followed him outside, careless of what anyone might think of their abrupt departure. The second she exited the building, she found herself pushed up against the rough brick as a wicked mouth laid siege to hers. A hard thigh pressed hers open as two large hands encouraged her to move freely. Darius broke the kiss, panting roughly and leaned down, burying his face in her hair.
“I love this hair; you know that right?”
Oh yes. She knew that.
“Do you know what I dream of every night? What I’ve dreamed of every night for the last eight hundred years?” His voice was low and raspy as he twined the inky coils around and around his fingers. He gave a small tug. Oh, apparently she was supposed to answer.’ Copyright 2016 Montana Ash. All rights reserved.

I am so in love with the characters Montana Ash has created. She has an amazing gift for storytelling. I was laughing out loud and crying during this book. Only two other authors have had me laughing out loud at work, Alanea Alder and Tymber Dalton.

I love Max, she is such a strong heroine but so vulnerable. I love that no matter the cost she will fight for what is true and right in this world (not to mention her peeps) but at the same time is so soft deep down. I cried so hard when she asked to stay and was turned down by each of the Paladins.

New author Montana Ash, has in her debut book hit it out of the park!
Feisty lead Max meets her band of outcasts, who don’t exactly fit the norm. Them without a warden, and Max a warden without paladins. The interaction between them all is great.
This book is laugh out loud funny. Drink while reading at your own risk.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series to see what mayhem will ensue.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel! I found myself laughing out loud which can be embarrassing when you are at a conference & pretending to listen to a boring speaker. I totally love the Max character & can’t wait for the next book. She is endearingly sweet, funny, & raunchy. And numerous kudos to Ms. Ash for using proper spelling, sentence structure, tense & word choice. Nothing shuts a book faster for me than improper use of then-than & present tense. Keep the books coming!

I know it has been said that a series gets better as it goes along . Paladin knocked that saying out of the ballpark. I absolutely loved this book. I loved getting reacquainted with the characters and reading about how they progressed through the story. Can I just say that when Darius and Diana get together it gets hot. I have to admit that I had to put the book down and catch my breath a couple of times. The bar scene had me laughing out loud. I’m defiantly going to listen to milkshake too see what Darius was sing to. Oh my Gosh there’s just so mush I loved about this book that I’m just going to say push the but button you won’t regret it in fact you’ll be sadden when it ends and you have to wait for the next one to be released. Montana Ash thank you for that amazing Dedication. Us minions believe in you!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 Stars–Very fun and enjoyable read

Very fun and enjoyable read… and one that leaves you wanting more. Yes, I am eagerly awaiting the next book. But, whatever you do – do not read this book without reading the first in the series. If you have not read the first book, do not read any further as my review will be full of spoilers for the first book.

While in this book, we have the main couple, both who declared themselves as Paladins to Max coming to terms with their own relationship (serious lost spanning 800 years but never acted on) but also how Max and how and what she is changes the whole dynamic – not just for them, but also their society.

We get plenty of time with the main couple but Max and Rie (along with the other Paladins) also get plenty of time. Normally I get irked when a previous character ends up being so pivotal in other characters books, but in this case it fits really well… the author seamless continued Max’s story with those in this book and while she was still an integral part, it did not detract from their story (unlike a few series I have read where it seems a “favored” character showing up in further books detracts from the main characters – it this case, she did not detract but added to it). Max did not detract fro their story but added to it.. they both offered her their service, but how they felt about it, how they reacted was very important.

Darius is a total rule follower and Diana, well she is not so much.. or rather she follows different rules. Max shows up and they each embrace her… but Darius has issues trying to fit her into his set of rules (which she totally ignores) while at the same time it is becoming harder ad harder for him to ignore his feelings for Diana (and those feelings are against the rules as he had previously known).Read more ›

BOOK THREE – CHADE – UPDATE! Montana Ash is…
busily working on book three in the Elemental Paladins series at the moment – Chade. It will be out sometime before the end of the year. Unfortunately, I cannot confirm exact dates yet but I will keep you all updated. In the mean time, here’s a little of what to expect smile emoticon:)
Cali is getting her turn to be swept off her feet – not that she thinks that will ever happen to her; she’s just too practical for that. But underneath her easy-going, good-natured, slightly cynical façade, beats the heart of a strong woman who just wants to be accepted, respected and loved. Luckily I have the perfect man for the job – Dex. He’s a black sheep and a very unexpected hero. His charm is a little on the rusty side and so are his manners, but if you look closely enough you’ll soon see the prince underneath the villain.
