Chapter One

Nora covered her mouth as she yawned. Her eyes focused on the road as she reached down, lifting her coke to her lips. Nora took a long swig before returning it to the cup holder.

The blue-green illumination of the dashboard clock read 12:03 AM. It was late, and she’d been driving for hours, but she would not stop until she reached her destination.

With a trembling hand, she picked up her cell phone and listened to her best friend’s voicemails again. She’d been stuck at work when April had called earlier, and had only just gotten the frantic message when she’d gotten off.

3:56pm

Hey, Nora, it’s April. I just wanted to let you know that I made it home okay. I know this is going to sound weird, but I need you to stay away from the apartment for a few days. I will wire you some money for a hotel. It’d be even better if you found one far away from home. I promise I will try to explain everything soon, but I can’t right now. Just please trust me when I tell you not to go home. I hope you get this soon. Call me when you do. I’ll, uh; I’ll talk to you later, okay? Be safe.

4:15 pm

Hey, it’s me again. Um, listen, my families in trouble, Nora. I think you could be too. I’m going to text you my address. I need you to head down here as soon as you can. Please call me as soon as possible.

The phone clicked, and Nora smashed her finger over the buttons, setting the phone back on top of her purse. Her hands shook as she gripped the steering wheel. Her eyes stared out the window into the pitch-black night. She’d received that ominous message around five hours ago, shortly after she’d left work. She still hadn’t been able to reach her best friend. Every call went straight to voicemail. Terrified, she’d hopped in her car and started the long drive to Louisiana.

Stifling another yawn, Nora glanced over at her GPS. If it were correct, she should reach April’s home within the next fifteen minutes. Once there, she could check on her friend, and find out what the hell was going on.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a blur of yellow making a beeline for the street. She slammed on the breaks, causing the tires to squeal. A man dashed into the road, and she screamed as a loud crunch echoed through the car.

The man’s body rolled up onto her hood, colliding with the windshield. The glass cracked, and tiny spider webs erupted across the window. His body tumbled backwards.

Nora held the steering wheel as a vice, watching in horror as he hit the pavement with an unforgiving thump. He rolled and attempted to stand, but quickly fell back to the blacktop. She held her breath, waiting for him to get up, but he didn’t. Her heart dropped and she took a shaky breath in.

Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god!

Pulse thrumming in her ears, she pushed her door open, unbuckled her seatbelt, and climbed out. Her eyes stayed transfixed on the deathly still person. Nausea churned in her stomach, and she gagged seeing the awkward angle of his arm. Her knees wobbled as she forced her feet forward.

“Please be okay. Please don’t be dead,” she mumbled as she approached him.

Blood oozed into his brown hair, streaking the cocoa strands with red. His chest rose and fell in shallow, uneven breaths. The man coughed, groaning as he rolled. He placed a quivering hand on the road as he attempted to sit up again.

“Thank god you’re not dead! Are you okay? I’m not sure you should be moving,” Nora babbled as she held her hands out, unsure if she should touch him or not.

He twisted, his emerald green eyes connecting with hers. Red dribbled out of his nose, pooling on his lips. His intense gaze gave her pause and she felt her breath catch as she got lost in his beautiful irises.

“Who are you?” he coughed, struggling to his feet.

Nora blinked, snapping out of her trance. “I’m so sorry. Are you okay? I need to call the police. You need to get to the hospital,” she rambled. Heat crept over her cheeks at her own stupidity. She’d hit a man! He needed medical help. How was he even standing? Why hadn’t she brought her phone out of the car with her?

“No!” he yelled, clamping his good hand around her wrist.

Nora jumped at his outburst. Her eyes widened, and pulse kicked up a notch.

“No,” he said quieter. “I…I don’t have insurance. Please, just help me get out of here. Give me a ride to a motel or something.” He stared at her for a long moment. “What’s your name?”

Nora looked down at his fingers that still encircled her wrist. Tiny nicks marred his skin. As she continued to assess him, she saw a large gash along his cheekbone, and blood covered his yellow shirt and dark wash jeans. His left shoulder and arm were mangled, but she couldn’t tell if it was broken or dislocated.

Realizing he was still waiting for an answer to his question, she said, “Nora, Nora Jamison.”

“I’m Daniel McKinley. I think we should get out of here, Nora.” His eyes scanned the tree line to her right and she followed his gaze.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” she asked. “I can call an ambulance—”

“No. Come on,” he interrupted, hobbling forward and pulling her along with him. His fingers were warm on her wrist and a tiny tremor of heat crept through her.

Nora allowed him to lead her as he stumbled to the passenger door and jerked it open. Yelling erupted from the trees, sending cold chills down her spine. Swallowing, she surveyed the brush. Her breath caught in her throat as three men emerged from the tree line, followed by a large grey wolf. How is that even possible, she wondered, eyes transfixed on the large creature.

Nora flinched as the wolf howled and the three men bounded toward them. She took a few steps back, her feet faltering as her butt met her car. Pushing off the steel, she whirled around and sprinted to the driver’s side door. A loud crackle rippled through the air, followed by a groan. Daniel slumped to the ground as his body contorted.

Horrified, Nora watched through the open passenger door as his yellow shirt tore free from his body. Reddish-brown hair erupted onto his back. He positioned himself on his hands and knees, seconds before his back jolted upwards. Another snap sounded, followed by a howl as he sprung forward.

Nora clamped a hand over her mouth as she watched the man become a wolf. She closed her eyes, and opened them again, still not believing. Yet, the wolf remained where the man had been. He lunged at the other wolf catching him mid air, and driving him to the ground.

A sob tore through her throat and she ripped her car door open. Sliding in, she was about to pull the door shut when an arm grabbed the handle, tearing it from her grasp. Warm, calloused hands wrapped around her left forearm and hauled her out of the vehicle. Her attacker yanked her into his firm body, holding her tight.

Frantic, Nora kicked her feet, struggling against the man in every which way, hoping to break free. Another man approached and easily dodged her swinging limbs.

“Get off me,” she screamed, throwing her head back as hard as she could. It hit something hard, and the man behind her grumbled obscenities. Lurching forward, she reeled back again, ignoring the pain slicing through her skull as it connected with the man. The assailant stumbled, his grip loosening ever so slightly. Unwilling to give up, Nora lifted her foot, and slammed her heel down. The man’s arms let go, and she raced forward, using her momentum, she ran straight for the other man. Raising her hands to her face, she swung her right leg, catching him off guard as she connected her foot with his manhood. The man cupped himself, and groaned, falling to his knees.

Her triumph was short-lived as a strong grip wrapped around her torso. No! She bucked against her attacker to no avail.

“You’re going to pay for that you stupid, little bitch,” the man rasped in her ear.

You’re a fighter, Nora, Fight!

Nora thrashed in his arms, but his hold was unforgiving. The man behind her stiffened, his fingers dug into her arms. Snapping her head up, she gasped as she watched the reddish-brown wolf tear into the man she’d kicked only moments before. The man gurgled, sputtering as he coughed. Crimson poured from his mouth as his body trembled. The wolf growled and turned toward them.

“You don’t want to hurt her, do you?” the man sneered as the reddish-brown wolf approached. “You’ll have to come through her to get to me.”

Nora whimpered; cringing away from the man as his hot breath blasted against her neck.

The wolf snarled, baring his massive, white canines. Nora halted her movements, eyes transfixed on the wolf’s golden eyes. His head cocked to the side, watching her before he lunged.

Nora shrieked as she was tossed toward the car. Her hands rose up to protect her face, but it was too late. Nora’s forehead smacked against the edge of the door. Her vision clouded, then went black.

Daniel snapped his jaws as he dove at the man. Like a coward, the human threw the girl out of the way, and spun around to flee to the woods. Daniel grunted as he jumped with his nails outstretched, tackling his enemy to the ground. His jaws clamped around the man’s neck, and with one quick twist, the bones crunched.

With a grunt, he pulled back. His body throbbed and breaths came in unsteady, labored pants. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath in and hobbled over ensuring that the three men and wolf were in fact dead. Satisfied, he sniffed at the young woman. The metallic stench of blood invaded his senses, and he whined as he inspected her. There was a long laceration just above her eyebrow. He nuzzled her, relieved to see that her chest rose and fell evenly.

Daniel took a step back and lowered himself to the ground. Gritting his teeth, he whimpered as his broken body snapped, the bones realigning as he transformed. He stood up with a grimace and stretched his stiff limbs.

Limping, he walked over to the closest man, quickly removed the man’s shoes, and tugged his jeans down. He was sure the young woman was going to have a lot of questions when she awoke, and he assumed it would go a lot better if he were wearing pants. The last thing he wanted was to frighten her anymore than she already was. He stripped the man with a broken neck down to his boxers. Then put the jeans and black tee on. Setting the socks and shoes in the car, he carefully lifted the woman into his arms and laid her across the back seat of her car.

Daniel took a moment to look over the unconscious woman. Her copper hair fell in soft waves. Light freckles sprinkled across her cheeks and nose. The scared amber eyes that had been alert only moments before were shut. Her breathing was even, and aside from a few red marks on her creamy skin, the only visible injury to her was the cut above her brow. She should be okay, he thought, at least he hoped she would be. Once they got someplace a little safer, he would stop and clean her up, and tend to both of their injuries.

One way or another, she was involved in all of this now. It was his duty to keep her safe.

He climbed into her Cavalier and shut the door, taking off down the road.

Nora chewed on her lower lip, taking in Daniel’s shirtless torso. Muscles rippled across his chest as he dodged a punch. He caught his opponent and threw him to the floor. The men around them cheered as the bloodied man held up his hands in submission.

“Daniel’s one of the best fighters here,” April told her.

Daniel turned so his back was to them. He slowly backed away from the fallen man. Nora gasped her eyes transfixed on his back. Long dark scars covered his sweat-covered skin.

“They’re claw marks,” April whispered. “Probably why he’s such a good fighter.”

“Any idea what the tattoo means?” Nora asked as she admired the symbol written on his left shoulder blade.

“I’m not sure.”

“It looks Chinese,” Nora wondered.

April shrugged. “Guess you’ll have to ask him,” she grinned giving her a playful nudge.

Nora snorted. “I haven’t spoken to him since the day I arrived. I’m not sure he wants anything to do with me.”

“He’s been really busy. All the guys have,” April said, earnestly. “They’ve been constructing a new building and putting up fences. From what I’ve seen, he’s not much of a talker either. You might need to approach him. He’s kind of hot.”

“April,” Nora flushed. She put her fingers to her lips hoping no one noticed the heat creeping across her cheeks.

“Well, he is. Clearly you agree.”

“Maybe a little,” Nora mumbled.

April giggled bumping her lightly on the arm. “You should try to talk to him. He’s kind of a loner, but he did risk his life to save all the people who made it out of my pack. He’s a good guy—just quiet. Kind of reminds me of someone I know.”

“I’m not quiet,” Nora huffed.

“Not now. But you used to be when we first met. And you can still be reserved sometimes.”

“Well, I am in a different state surrounded by people I don’t know who just happen to turn into wolves. You’ll forgive me for being a little reserved right now,” Nora replied, rolling her eyes. “Speaking of guys,” Nora started, nodding toward a guy with dark blonde hair and brown eyes. “Who is he? He’s staring at you.”

April followed her gaze. “That’s Jackson.”

“Your on-again-off-again?”

“Yeah.”
“He’s cute.”

“Yes, he is.”

“You two starting something up again?” Nora questioned.

“I don’t know. The romance is there, the love is there, we just can’t seem to agree on anything,” April sighed. “He’s not like Juarez; he would never stop me from doing anything. But, he’s been very vocal about me going to school. I’m kind of an outcast amongst my group. My need for normal, human life is very taboo. At least according to them.” April stood up on her tiptoes and waved at Lark and Natalia as they entered the barn. “I fit right in here.”

“Hi,” Lark smiled as she waved to them.

Natalia gave them a nod and her eyes wandered around the barn. Nora couldn’t help but notice how uneasy the other woman appeared. Nora didn’t know a lot about the werewolf world, but it seemed odd that the alpha female would be so standoffish.

“You feeling up to this?” Lark asked.

“Yeah. I do yoga and run, but April tells me this is a little more intense,” Nora shrugged.

Lark nodded. “It is. Devon and I usually work one-on-one, but with all the new people we want to make sure everyone is prepared.”

“So this is like basic training?” Nora asked.

“You could call it that,” Lark agreed. “I could also work with you on learning to shoot if you’re so inclined. The wolves aren’t too keen on it, but it could come in handy. We humans are at a disadvantage.”

“I’ve never shot a gun before.”

“I’ll teach you if you want,” Lark offered.

Before Nora could respond, Gene’s voice boomed through the crowd instantly silencing everyone.

“Good evening. Thanks for joining us tonight. I thought we’d start tonight off with a run, and then break into groups for sparring. We’ll run a two-mile stretch tonight around the perimeter of the buildings. Everyone take a minute to stretch and warm up.”

Nora lifted her ankle and tucked it up. By chance, her eyes caught Daniel’s, he gave her a small smile and started moving in her direction. Her heart kicked up a notch and she forced an even breath in. However, several feet before he reached her he pulled up short. The smile slipped from his face and he turned around and left. What in the world, Nora wondered.

“Hey, Devon,” Lark greeted, melting into the alpha.

Devon wrapped one arm around her and placed a kiss to her head.

“All right. Everyone warmed up? Let’s get going,” Gene shouted.

“Don’t push too hard, Nora. Stop if you need to,” April suggested as people started filing out of the barn.

Nora grumbled under her breath and she was about to lash out when she noticed Daniel hanging back. This could be her chance to talk to him, she realized.

“I’m fine. But I’ll probably pull up the rear just in case.”

April gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze and then followed Lark, Natalia, and Devon out of the barn.

Nora turned her attention toward Daniel, who still stood against the haystacks. Most everyone had already exited the barn, but he hadn’t moved. Inhaling sharply, she walked toward him.

Daniel’s eyes focused on Nora as she approached. Her copper hair was pulled up, except for a few loose strands around her face. The black tank top and shorts she wore clung to her body accentuating every glorious curve.

“Hi,” she greeted.

“Hey.”

“You running tonight?”

“Yeah. I like to run alone though, so I usually give everyone a few minute head start.”
“Oh.”

Daniel grimaced realizing how she probably took that. “I mean,” he cleared his throat. “We could run together if you’d like.”

Her eyes lit up and a smile slid across her face. Daniel relaxed, relieved. He gestured for her to lead the way.

Once outside, they both started at a steady jog.

“Do you do a lot of running?” Daniel asked after several moments of silence.

“On the treadmill. This is a little bit different,” Nora admitted, sucking in a deep breath through her nose. “What about you? Do you do a lot of running like this?”

“I’m more used to being in my wolf form, but this is nice too.” When she didn’t say anything else, he elaborated. “It’s more intense as a wolf. You can see things, feel things; everything is so much more vivid.”

“That must be nice. I saw you fighting earlier. You’re pretty good.” She cleared her throat and sucked in another breath. Daniel peered over at her to make sure she was doing okay. A fine sheen of sweat glistened on her brow, but her breathing seemed even. Her head turned toward him. “Maybe you could, uh, teach me how to fight too.”

Daniel hesitated for a moment, causing his steps to falter. She wanted him to teach her. “I’ve never really taught anyone. I’m not sure I’d be a good teacher.”

Nora shrugged, pushing forward. “I’m sure Devon or Gene could teach me then,” she replied after a long moment.

Daniel gritted his teeth. Great, now she thinks you don’t want to, he berated himself. “I could give it a try.”

“Thanks.”

“I’ll team up with you when we break down into sparring teams.”

“I’m not really a fighter. You might have your hands full,” Nora admitted, casting a glance his way.

“We all have to learn sometime. Besides, I’ve seen you in action. You have good instincts. I’m still not sure how you did that flip thingy when that guy had you over his shoulder,” Daniel admitted. He’d never seen anything like that before.

“I took gymnastics as a kid and I’ve been doing yoga for years now.”

“I think you’ll do just fine.” He nodded toward the light of the barn. “Home stretch.”

Daniel stood up, walked to the dresser, and set up the computer. He tapped something and the red screen popped up.

“Avengers?” Daniel asked.

“Sure,” Nora said sliding back so she was lying on the pillows. She patted the spot next to her and Daniel lay down, resting one arm behind his head and pulling her close with the other.

Nora sighed relaxing her head against his chest. The movie started and she smiled as Daniel’s hand rubbed tiny circles into her back.

Nora grunted as her warm cushiony pillow moved out from underneath her. Her eyes fluttered open and she squinted in the darkness. Daniel’s silhouette moved toward the laptop. The screen was black as white names scrolled over it. She’d missed the entire movie.

She sat up and stretched her arms up and over her head.

“I didn’t mean to wake you,” Daniel whispered, dragging his finger over the touchpad.

“I’m sorry I wasn’t a very good movie buddy,” Nora smiled. “Did you like it at least?”

“It was good. I heard there is a third one coming out, maybe we could go see that together,” Daniel offered.

She didn’t think the other movie was coming out for some time yet. That meant he didn’t know that, or he was planning to be with her for a long time. “I’d like that.”

Daniel shifted on his feet. “It’s late and we have an early morning,” he said, running a hand through his hair.

Did he want to stay but didn’t want to force it or was he trying to get out of staying, she wondered. He wouldn’t have spent all evening with you if he didn’t like your company, she reasoned. “Will you stay with me again tonight?” She tucked locks of hair behind her ear as she peered up at him.

“Yeah,” Daniel said. “Do you mind?” he asked. His hands rested on the hem of his shirt.

Nora licked her lips and shook her head. Her breath caught in her throat as she rose up to her knees. Feeling bold, she rolled her shirt up and let it fall to the floor. Daniel’s eyes appraised her for a moment before he lifted his shirt up revealing his taut upper body. She reached out, skimming her fingers up his chest. Daniel bent down, his lips capturing hers. Gently, he pushed her back until he hovered over her on the bed. His stubble scratched at her mouth as his tongue met hers. Nora moaned into his mouth as heat pooled between her thighs. She needed him.

His hand dipped down between them, flicking her jeans open. Nora gasped as his warm fingers slid down into her panties and he inserted one digit inside of her. Daniel kissed down her neck and shoved her bra strap out of the way, as he peppered his way to her breast and took the mound into his mouth. Nora cried out as he added another finger.

Her hands flew to his hair. She threaded her fingers through his thick locks. His free hand found her other nipple, and he rolled the tight bud between his fingers. Nora’s hips rose up greedily meeting his thrusts. His digits slipped in and out of her folds as her core ached for more.

Werewolf Wars Book #3, Finding Our Way follows right off from the end of Book #2, Into the Unknown.  Getting the readers attention and directly into the action of the story. Chapter one introduces the reader to the Hero and Heroine of this novel. Thus where the heroine is thrown right in the middle of the war and learning that werewolves exist. Each chapter will leave the reader wondering what threat is will be around the corner next.

In reading this novel I especially liked that the characters from Books one and two weaved in and out of the storyline. The way they interacted with the main hero and herione made the story seem so real. Plus it was nice as far as learning about these characters more and just how important family is to them.

The writing flowed, the plot took twists and turns. Just wait till you read about Sarah in this book!!!

The women are shown as hard workers. They want to do their share in protecting the family and the pack. Deep inside the human females may be scared, but they show courage, bravery and strength when needed throughout the plot of the story. The ending of the novel will have you craving more from this series.

EXCERPT

Author bio:

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters. I wanted to be an actress growing up so I could live many roles but I learned early on that my mind was too active, I would want to change the script. I would watch films and think of ways they could of improved the story if they took another direction.

My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling too.

When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life, but when I do get down time, I love attending music concerts with my younger sister, who shares my reading soul, we are two peas in a pod.

Book #1

Broken People

18164207 Collagebroken people

Five broken people, five points of view, one story. From each of five characters perspective, this story unfolds and grips you from the beginning. If there is any part of you that feels broken, this book is a mirror held before you. In the end, you’ll see your true reflection.

From time to time, a book comes along, and makes you stop. It makes you stop and second guess who you are, what you’re doing in life, with life, and for the ones you love. This is that book. Through colorfully painted characters, “Broken People” forces the reader to reflect on self. There will be a broken part of you in one (or all) of these characters, guaranteed.

The Fat Kid is a self-proclaimed therapist who devotes his life to help people that have difficulties helping themselves, people he considers to be ‘broken’. When he encounters a bulimic teenage girl through his internet blog who threatens to commit suicide, he begins to reflect on parts of his life that he has spent years repressing. He continues to assist her, and many other ‘Broken People’ through his blog. When he meets an extremely independent woman who challenges him, his way of living, and his way of viewing life, he reluctantly listens. In doing so he challenges his past mistakes, his future, and ultimately he finds himself.

Intentionally becoming obese in an effort to shield himself from the approach of outsiders wanting to better understand him, The Fat Kid hides behind his thick outer self. With an overbearing obnoxious attitude, he allows few people to enter his otherwise private life. Most of the people that he encounters come from his internet blog, and pose no real threat to him or to his odd lifestyle.

Through his reflections on past experiences and his online assistance to others, we are exposed to alcoholism, addiction, drugs, racism, relationships, homosexuality, love, romance, teen relationships, parenting, teen sex, codependency, divorce, obesity, overworked parents, teen pregnancy, bulimia, bathroom selfies, tattoos, parenting, education, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and photo sharing are all discussed at length. The result is a book that will have you laughing, crying, contemplating your own life, and the lives of your parents and/or children. A must read for parents and children alike, regardless of age. It gives teens and young adults an honest look at what parents consider, and provides parents with a realistic view of what teens are exposed to in today’s competitive social networking world.

“If someone makes you think, keep them. If someone makes you feel, keep them.”
― Scott HildrethBroken People

“I like looking at your body,” she said.
“Thank you. I like looking at you, period,” I responded. She removed her shirt. She asked for help with her bra. We embraced. Our skins touched. I felt her heart beat against my chest. I felt my heart beating. Our heartbeats became one. One heartbeat. We became one. Time passed. I looked at my watch. 10:10. I stood. She remained on the bed, defining beauty.
“It’s getting close to eleven, baby. You should probably get up,” I said, looking for my shirt. I ran my hands through my hair.
“Stand right there,” she said. “Don’t move.” I stood. She reached to the side of the bed, and got her phone from her purse. She held it at arm’s length. “Don’t move,” she said.
“I heard you,” I responded. I stood. She took three photos. “I wish I could paint a picture of you,” I said.
“Do you paint?” she asked.
“No,” I responded, “But I wish I could. I would paint a picture of you right now, lying there without your shirt. I could stand here, Britney, and admire you for all of what is forever. You make me want to cry. But. That part of me is broken.”

Book #2

The Alpha-Bet (Christy Cross Erotica)

Collagehildreth collage

Christy Cross has had an other than desirable sex life – until now. Out of college for the summer, she makes a bet with her best friend. She’s going to turn her sex life around.

Quickly, she discovers that she is an alpha female. The story that follows is an insane sexual romp throughout her early summer as she determines what she wants from a male counterpart.

**Be forewarned – this erotica is just that – erotic. MMF, MM, FFM, BDSM, and Non Con are commonplace in this book. **

***

Christy Cross is gorgeous, athletic, a college student, a black belt in Taekwondo, and works at a coffee shop. Christy is sexually frustrated. Christy had one sexual encounter in her life – as a senior in high school. The experience went so wrong that she has abstained from sex for years – until now.
One of Christy’s problems is her drinking – she drinks a lot. In a drunken stupor with a friend in a bar, she made a bet. Christy takes making bets seriously, and will go to any length to win one. Any length.

She made a bet that she could screw her way through the alphabet – and she has the summer to complete it. From A-Z. As if this weren’t difficult enough, she has to do it in alphabetical order. She is able to use first or last names to check a letter off the list, but she must have sex to do so.

What happens is not what she or anyone else expects. Armed with her back pack of necessities, she works her way from one letter to the next, trying to make her way to “Z”. Christy quickly finds that she is an alpha-female, she has an insatiable desire to have sex, and she doesn’t take any sh*t from anyone, male or female. Her alpha-female escapades get her into a lot of situations that other females can only dream about, sexually speaking. Along the way, she encounters the police, hipsters, druggies, other college students, Asian gangsters, asshats, assh*les, bikers, and some new friends.

This romp, after the seventh chapter, is one sex scene in almost every other chapter. It, again, is not for the meek.. This is a very funny, somewhat graphic, and always entertaining novel. It is laugh-out-loud funny, not in parts – in whole. It is erotica, fiction, and humorous. it is funny (to some) The sex is descriptive, raw, and unreal. If you enjoyed Beats Hard Rock Harlets, and Strings you’ll love this read. If you liked Unattainable, Aching to Exhale, or Viper’s run, you may not like this. If you are easily offended, do not read this book. If you are not easily offended, read it at your own risk.

It is entertaining. Very. If you have a sense of humor, and aren’t sexually offended.

WARNING**CAUTION**WARNING**CAUTION**WARNING**CAUTION

This book is NOT a conventional romance novel. It is a humorous erotica. It is laugh out loud funny from beginning to end and It is HOT. It depicts a woman that is an Alpha female, and she is attempting to resolve her inner issues sexually…in ways you can only imagine.

This book has dirty, raunchy, descriptive sex. It has one night stands, hook-ups, FWB situations, DP, FFM, MMF, internet dating, etc. If you are not prepared for these types of scenes, DO NOT read this book. This book is not for everyone. It is HOT and it is FUNNY. You will laugh out loud in almost every scene.

Have fun, Christy is….

Baby Girl

Erik Ead is a 36 year old psychiatrist that doesn’t practice after the death of his mother. he’s muscular, dominant, and rides in a Motorcycle Club. When he meets Kelli, a 22 year old daughter of the local BMW dealership, he immediately wants to make her his sexual interest.

Erik doesn’t do relationships. Neither does Kelli. After agreeing to a summer long sex only relationship, eventually, they receive what they never would have guessed.

Emotion.

Prepare for the most accurate, no glamorization, unfiltered look at a true D/s relationship that you’ll ever read. Baby Girl is unlike any other book in the genre. Written by a male who lives the lifestyle, this book will make you think, feel, and second guess whatever it is that you have regarding a relationship.

***
This is the first book in a series of three in the life of Erik Ead. Erik is a psychiatrist. He rides a motorcycle in a Motorcycle Club. He is tattooed. He is confident to the point of perceived arrogance.

Erik does not believe in love and he doesn’t live in a mansion -he rides a motorcycle in a MC. He does not have an airplane. Erik is extremely confident, real, and knows what he wants. He wants a woman to submit; with no commitment for love. Erik will settle for nothing less than owning Kelli.

Kelli is a college graduate scheduled to go to a university at the end of the summer. She meets Erik, who is older than she is. Immediately she is intrigued by him. Kelli has never been in a relationship at all. Kelli has spent her life being promiscuous, and using men for sex. Kelli, after meeting Erik, wants to do nothing but please him. Kelli doesn’t quite understand why, and waits on Erik to explain to her why she is the way she is, and what to do next .

“Love isn’t real. Love is what people say to you so they can keep fucking you. So they can keep your interest. I don’t want lies. I want my ass slapped, my hair pulled, and treated like a little whore.” – Kelli with an “I”

When these two begin to spend time together, things begin to change; personalities, interests, and the need for affection. What happens is something that must be experienced by the reader. This book is, again, not watered down. This book has tremendous depth to those that are looking to find it. It will, upon completion, allow you into the minds, hearts, and heads of people as they develop a D/s relationship.

Again, if you have always wondered about what a Dominant/submissive relationship is all about – less the airplanes, mansions, and billions, read Baby Girl. It’s real, it’s raw, and it’s got the hottest, steamiest real sex you can imagine.

Plan on being up all night.

Quotes

“Love requires courage, persistence, and maintenance. Love just doesn’t lie there with us as we live our lives, and engulf us, providing us with an assurance that it exists.” “Love is developed, and it is never perfect. We, as people, are flawed. Therefore, love is flawed. Most people live their lives trying to find the perfect person to provide them what they believe to be the perfect love. In my opinion, people should find someone that provides them with affection, someone that makes them feel, then develop and maintain the perfect love. That is the closest thing to real love that could ever possibly exist,”
― Scott HildrethBaby Girl

“…you don’t give someone your love. They take it. Love is taken. And, when someone takes your love, you will know it…”
― Scott HildrethBaby Girl

“Everything that I did, I thought of him. He had consumed me. He has crawled inside of me and become part of me, part of my day-to-day life. Even when he is not in my presence, he is part of everything that I do. He is in my mind. He has infected me.

I paint my nails and I hope. I hope that he praises me. I hope that he smiles. I hope that when he says what he says, whatever it may be, that he ends it with those two words.
Baby girl.
I am ruined.”
― Scott HildrethBaby Girl

“Now put your hands on the countertop, and bend over. I’m going to shove you so full of cock you won’t even remember how to spell your name for a week,” he said in his deep voice.

“Oh my. Ok,” I said as I did what he asked. As I grabbed the edges of the countertop, I felt his foot kicking the insides of my shoes, spreading my legs farther apart.

“You long legged, sexy little bitch. I have to get your pussy down here where I can get to it,” he said, as he slapped the right side of my butt, hard. The slap startled me, and the sting felt like fire.

As soon as he stopped kicking my shoes and spreading my legs apart, I felt the head of his cock slide past my lips. His hands grabbed my waist, and he slid all the way inside of me. As soon as I felt his balls against my clit, I began to contract and felt as if I was going to cum. His cock slid out, and then back in again. He found a rhythm and began to fuck me slowly, his hips slapping lightly against my butt as he slid all the way into my wet pussy. As his hips slapped my ass, I could feel his balls against my clit. I couldn’t take it anymore. If he kept up this pace, I would explode.

“Fuck me Erik, fuck me. Fuck me harder. Fuck me,” I said loudly.

“Fuck me, Erik. Oh God. Fuck me.”

“Fuck me.”

“Harder.” I begged.

“Who owns you, baby girl? Who fucking owns you?” he almost screamed.

“Oh God, you do. You own me. You.”

“Don’t forget it, do you hear me?” he said in a loud, stern tone.

“Yes, I am yours. You own me,” I responded…I loved this.

In and out he forced himself, each time it felt as I was being stretched open for the first time. Not a tremendous pain, but each stroke felt like it was the first, the entry stroke. It was a new feeling to me, and it was more than I could take. I was going to explode.

“Please…Faster. Fuck me. Give me that cock. Give me that big fat….Oh my God. Give it to me.”

Book II of this four book series in the life of Kelli and Erik picks up where Book I leaves off. It can, however, be enjoyed as a stand alone with a clear beginning and a great ending.

Trust. This books focus is the trust that is required in any relationship, but is paramount to the success of a D/s relationship. We follow Kelli and Erik as they develop trust, and begin to develop a love that is unlike any other.

The love that begins to develop in this book is love that we all seek and never seem to find. Be forewarned, this book includes strong sexual scenes, fighting, Motorcycle Club exposure, and scenes of dominance and submission.

***

Kelli and Erik continue with the story of their lives, their relationship, and their expectations of each other.

In this book, the second of three, we see the exposure of these two characters, as well as the other characters of Book I, to life…

This Book is different than Book I in that it is more of the living, and less ‘thinking’.

Someone steals from the motorcycle club, and Erik begins to question loyalties, life, trust, and his exposure to people – the few he lets in his in his life.

These questions leave him seeking answers. Kelli sees changes in Erik and takes advantage of her opportunity.

This is what everyone wished for in Book I and did not get to read. Erik and Kelli ‘doing’, and less ‘thinking’.

Prepare for a ride like no other, this book takes us on a journey through the lives of many, primarily Erik and Kelli.

Teddy, Heather, A-Train and the Bone are a few of the other characters that we are exposed to in this book.

Baby Girl #3

CollageSDH3

A Dominant/submissive relationship that defines love? Yes. This book will cause you to second guess the content of whatever relationship you may currently have.

Erik is a psychiatrist and rides in an MC. Kelli is a college graduate. Kelli and Erik are attempting to have a loving Dominant/submissive relationship. One that is real, raw, and includes love.

Kelli is a woman that Erik cherishes, loves, and adores. He still, however, requires that she submit sexually and completely.

Erik is a man that Kelli loves, respects, and wishes to please.

In this book about the development of a loving, caring, meaningful Dominant submissive relationship, Erik and Kelli each struggle with the imminent death of her father, and how to handle the loss of the only parent between them.

As the book progresses, so do they. Their true colors begin to show, and they become more of what each other may not necessarily expect.

What they do become is real. This book is as loving, caring, and romantic as you’ll ever see an erotica become. It will leave you in tears.

Good tears.

And have you second guessing your relationship, love, and life.

Quotes

“Right now, baby girl, we have each other. But I want more. I know I don’t have to prove anything to you. I know I don’t. But I want this union, this bond, this marriage of you and I. I want to show you how devoted I am to you. I need you beside me. You allow me to live, to breath, and to survive. I am not afraid to admit it. I want you to be mine for all of what is forever. Again, will you be my wife?” he asked as his wet eyes sparkled.”
― Scott HildrethLove That Just Is

“I have no idea where he gets these ideas, but he sure knows how to get in my head, and make me want to spend every day with him. Understanding him, figuring him out, learning what makes him tick. This man makes me insane. There cannot be another person on this earth like this. Some way, somehow, he knows exactly what to do and how to do it.”
― Scott HildrethLove That Just Is

“I know now who I am, what I have been hiding from my entire life, and why I am the way I am. I know I am not broken, and that there’s nothing wrong with me.”

The Novel with MANY Names…

CollageSDHB

A psychological mind f*** of an Erotic Thriller.
A woman is abducted and tossed in the trunk of a car and driven to a remote location. Moments later, she is moved to the basement of her abductor’s home and placed into a room with three other women, all of which resemble her. Confused, scared, lonely, and in constant fear, she waits – struggling with her feelings of mentally abandoning her child. Soon, psychologically, she attaches herself to her captor.

The abductor, after a few days, opens the door and explains the following to the group of women. “Tomorrow morning, at eight am, one of you will forfeit your life to save the other three. If one person isn’t willing to die, everyone will die.”

Ryan Capshaw was raised at the hand of an abusive father, and grew up believing he was worthless. To prove his intelligence and self-worth to himself, he has devised a plan to abduct, torture, and murder four women – one of which decides to challenge his plan.

“To The Depths of Hell” takes an in-depth look at the psychological aspect of aUbduction, various unmentionables, murder, and living as an adult after an abusive childhood.

Prepare for a trip that will leave you guessing, wondering, and contemplating how you would react, think, and prepare to either die, or be a survivor.

*CAUTION* This book contains graphic scenes of violence and erotic sex YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

QUOTES

“Children. Pay close attention to them. They grow up to be adults. The really heinous people we see on the news? The serial killers, murderers, rapists, and complete ass-hats of society? Yeah, they were children once. And no one paid attention.”

Meet Shane and Ripp

UNDEFEATED

Undefeated (Fighter Erotic Romance Book 1)

Shane Dekkar is an alpha male and a boxer. He is as ruthless on the streets as he is in the ring. Several things set Shane apart from the typical alpha; he’s romantic, kind, considerate, and poetic – as long as you’re on his good side. Preparing for a potential shot at the Heavyweight Championship of The World, he doesn’t necessarily have time for a relationship. When he meets Kace Meadows for the first time, he is shocked by her natural beauty. For reasons out of his control, he walks away, not even knowing her name. Two years later, when he meets her a second time, he views this meeting as fate.

Kace Meadows is a dreamer who lives vicariously through her book boyfriends she reads about on her Kindle. When she meets Shane Dekkar for the first time, she simply can’t forget him. When she meets him the second time, things in her life begin to change, and change fast.

Undefeated is a modern day tale of fighting. Fighting for what you believe in, fighting for love, and fighting for the one you love. This story will change your opinion about love, relationships, and alpha males. Shane Dekkar will win your heart, make you melt, and without a doubt, knock you unconscious. If you enjoy Jamie Begley, Cora Brent, Tessa Bailey, L. A. Casey, Karina Halle, Heather Topham Wood, Melanie Harlow, Rachel Robinson, Shayla Black, Pepper Winters, Lexi Blake, Whitney Gracia Williams, Lauren Blakely, and Laurelin Paige, you’ll love this novel.

***

WARNING: This book contains scenes of abuse. They are descriptive, heartbreaking, and may cause you to feel certain emotions. If you’re incapable of reading about a woman that recovers from an abusive relationship, don’t read this book. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Kace Meadows lives in Austin, Texas. Now 26, she has been in an abusive relationship since she was sixteen years old. As abusive as it is, she can’t seem to find a way to allow herself to end it. With her abusive boyfriend, she can’t seem to win.

Shane Dekkar is an unknown, undefeated, and somewhat shy boxer from Compton California. After the death of his grandfather, he moves to Austin and meets Kace by happenstance as she and her boyfriend are in an argument in public. He is drawn to her, and she to him.

When he meets her again two years later, he begins to believe in fate. But, as he prepares for a potential shot at a championship fight, there’s not time in his life or career for a woman.

Shane fights his inner demons by using his fists. On the street or in the ring, Shane does what he does best, he wins at any cost. Unlike Kace, Shane can’t seem to lose.

Undefeated is an extremely romantic erotica novel about fighting. Fighting for what you believe in. Fighting for life. Fighting to live.

And fighting to find love in the most unlikely places.

Be prepared to be moved, touched, stand up and cheer, and cry your eyes out. This book will, without a doubt, knock you unconscious.

CAUTION: Graphic sexual content. This book contains fighting scenes that are descriptive. Additionally, it contains graphic scenes of street fighting that may be perceived as unnecessarily violent. Lastly, the abuse scenes in this book are descriptive, realistic, and emotional.

Excerpts from Undefeated

Kace

Trying to figure a way to get out of a relationship and not feel like a complete failure is difficult. Most people will never understand why I have stayed in the relationship with Josh as long as I have. As much as I hate the way that he has treated me, I cannot imagine giving up on us – giving up on our relationship. I don’t think I know how to be alone. When I think of it, my head gets all jumbled up and I get scared. Sometimes when I think of leaving him I shake. As soon as I start shaking, I change my mind.  I often wish someone would decide for me.

Each time that he has beaten me, I deserved it. I remember the time when I was eighteen, right after high school. Josh was twenty-one. He had to work overtime that day, and he came home exhausted from a long day at work. He asked me about dinner, and I back talked him. He just lost his temper. He never would have hit me if I hadn’t talked back. It was a really long day for him.

Shane

If I am attempting it, and I do not succeed, you can believe that I gave it my best effort, regardless of the outcome. I choose to do very little, and be exceptional at what it is I decide to do. I would much rather be perceived as being great at a few things than be a failure at many. I have always been honest with myself and conscious of who I am, but that doesn’t always help me understand why I am the way I am.

On the outside, I am always kind, polite, and considerate of others. On the inside, demons reside. I don’t know why or what fuels the demons inside of me, but I am very aware of their existence. My consciousness of their need, necessity, and deep desire to be fed is what has caused me to choose boxing as my main outlet. I keep the demons fed, and they allow me to live an otherwise peaceful life. Fulfilling their hunger allows my desire to live a tranquil life to be met. As long as I continue to fight, they’re fed. When they are fed, I am allowed. Allowed to live.

Author Interview

What inspires you to write?

My inspiration to write is whatever it is that lives inside of me and allows me to develop characters, stories, and find the voice to write. It’s difficult to explain. I have an ability to allow fictional characters take me over and express themselves through my fingertips and onto paper. My inspiration….It’s not necessarily the story, or the underlying message that inspires me, although I may be inspired by it. It’s the telling. Making it come together. Turning a character or group of characters into a novel that makes sense to people – that alone inspires me. So, as I say, in summary – my inspiration is in knowing that I will finish it, and it’ll make sense to my intended audience.

What has been your most difficult book to write?

My most difficult book to date, without a doubt, Dying to Survive. That book made a mess of me. I think the primary reason is the fact that there are six characters in the book, and they are all in some way mentally ‘off’. The book is a very troubling look at what we may consider when exposed to decisions about death, survival, coping with child abuse, rape, murder, abduction, captivity, greed, and repressed memories. It’s a tough book to write and maintain a level of separation from the characters. I become so close to the characters when I write that it makes it difficult to completely separate myself. Writing this wadded me up in an emotional ball for a month.

What are your thoughts on book reviews?

Book reviews have the ability to help potential readers make a better educated guess on whether or not they may be interested in reading a particular book. Additionally, if presented properly, they allow the author to consider what was written into the review, and allow him/her to decide if the criticism is warranted, and if there can be adjustments made in the future to prevent having the same issues with later writings. I love good reviews, but my worst ratings have brought me some of my most useful reviews.

Unstoppable (Fighter Erotic Romance #2)

Mike “Ripp” Ripton is a boxer and bare knuckles fighter who is witty, muscular, tattooed, and has 4 piercings ‘down stairs’. He is a man of principal, great moral value, and has family ties. He has never, however, been in love; nor been in an actual relationship. He does relationships, ‘just not for that long’.

He boxes professionally, and fights bare knuckles matches in the ‘hood’ for cash. Ripp is a take me or leave me type of alpha male that won’t change for anyone. On his bike, in his classic 1969 Chevelle, or in the ring he’s at home.

When he meets who he believes is the most beautiful woman in the world one day in the bar – a local prominent attorney – he decides she’ll be his next ‘victim’. Little does he realize that he just might end up being hers.

She eagerly admits she’s attracted to one type of male, and one type only. Bad Boy. Alpha. Tattooed, and…..

She prefers at the end of her day of court battles that she be able to throw her respective hands in the air and have a man take charge. She will settle for nothing less. She wants a dominant man.

As long as she’s in a relationship with him.

What happens when life offers ‘the man who will not change’ events and opportunities that cause change in his life that he either wasn’t or isn’t prepared for?

And how deep does the blood of a died in the wool fighter run?

To what degree will he fight for what he believes in and/or what he wants in life?

What if his desires change?

Unstoppable is steamy. The type that fanning yourself wont fix. It’s got alpha males. Fighting. Tattoos. Muscles. And above all, it’s got Mike Ripton. If you enjoy Jamie Begley, Cora Brent, Tessa Bailey, L. A. Casey, Karina Halle, Heather Topham Wood, Melanie Harlow, Rachel Robinson, Shayla Black, Pepper Winters, Lexi Blake, Whitney Gracia Williams, Lauren Blakely, and Laurelin Paige, Stacy Borel, you’ll love this novel.

Words from the Author

♦Author Scott Hildreth’s Inspiration for Writing Undefeated♦

My inspiration to write Undefeated, and the hope that it may inspire someone to get out of an abusive relationship, came from the events described below. The events below are true. The events in the book are not. The book is one hundred percent fiction.

One weekend, I had a girl get in touch with me that I had never met. She had received my telephone number from a friend of a friend. Frantic, she attempted to speak to me initially, but each time she tried, she was overcome with emotion.

This emotion filled silence continued for almost an hour, and then we then actually began to communicate, albeit slowly, and one-sided. I learned through the conversation (that lasted almost eight hours) that she was bound by her husband, and gang raped by his friends. This happened for a few days. Against, if I even need to state this, her will. She was in and out of consciousness for two days. Eventually, she was released. In shock and extremely poor health, she contacted me from a remote hotel room.

I struggled with this event, and how to handle it. I struggled with this more than I have struggled with almost anything in my life. Vengeance. At what point does one administer justice to someone that the courts will undoubtedly not punish properly? The punishment for this particular crime, regardless of what was imposed by the court, would not be sufficient for the crime committed.

I chose at the time to speak to another close female friend about the event, and get her opinion.

Although I could not speak to my friend about the person, the events, or the intimacies of the above mentioned conversation, we spoke for some time in general about God, about law and about the difference between what is right and what is wrong. I shared with her my thoughts of feeling a need to resolve this issue with the caller’s husband on my own. When the smoke cleared, I sat in a coffee shop and thought. I made a decision. “Put up again thy sword into his place; for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.”  I decided, for once in my life, that it was not my responsibility to resolve this issue. I contacted the authorities, called in a few favors from some friends in law enforcement, and the issue was dealt with in a manner in accordance with law.

My female friend, as always, proved extremely useful in her ability to convey her understanding of the message of God in a manner that I could listen to and accept. I have always struggled with attempting to do what is right (in my mind), and hoped that it was what was right in God’s eyes. I do not know that these things always were in line with one another.

Until now.

And now, a year later, the person from the incident above?

She is well. As well as she can be, considering all things. She is fortunate.

I struggle – still today – with thoughts of vengeance.

My struggle brought me to this.

I hope you enjoy.

Twenty-two year old, Cammie Adams knows one thing for sure… life isn’t fair. She’s still a wreck from the tragic loss of her parents seven years ago. Right after she gets her PI license she is not only robbed, but abducted, only to find her life was all a lie. When she finds her mother’s diary she discovers she was only a pawn in her mother’s dangerous game. Now she must get back what is rightfully hers from the man who murdered her mother.Hot and mysterious Simon Fisher has really only loved one thing… jewels. This ex-jewel thief, now bodyguard, doesn’t even know what hits him when he rescues Cammie as a favor to her father. Simon must protect her, but soon finds where there is trouble, Cammie isn’t far behind.

cabochon_gemstone_border_divider_by_teddywhazz-d5aruu1

She will not only steal his prized jewel, but his heart.

Heart pounding, Cammie followed Simon through the dark jungle with a loaded gun in her hand. It was amazing how good she could see with the night vision goggles on. They had listened to the chatter on Simon’s bug until the men fell asleep. Simon knew exactly where he was going and knew where the diamond was kept. The moon and stars were the only illumination in dark jungle. Wild animals howled in the distance; she hoped they stayed on their side of the jungle.
Simon stopped and turned around. “Are you okay back there?”
“Yes, maybe adventure really is in my blood.”
He smiled. “It’s not much farther. When we get there, we’re going into the tent I told you about. There’ll be a large wooden box. The diamonds are inside. Once I get the lock open, you take the red diamond. It will be the largest one. Take nothing else. Remember we have to get in, get what we came for and get out. If anything happens, you take that diamond and run back to the jeep, no matter what.”
She took a deep breath. “Okay.”
They walked approximately five more yards, then she saw a dying fire. Thanks to the goggles, she spied the tent that Simon had told her about. It was the closest one to the entrance of the mine. It was hard to grip the gun with her clammy hands. Five other tents circled around the fire. Simon motioned for her to follow him around the back of the tents. They arrived at the tent she was to go inside.
Simon gave her a quick peck on the lips and nodded. They went inside. Simon got the box open within a few seconds. She felt like she could not breathe when she looked into the wooden box almost full of clear loose diamonds. Resting on top was the red diamond, by far the largest diamond inside the box.
Adrenaline took over. She picked up the gem and put it into her pocket, careful not to drop the gun. It was surprisingly easy to take something that was not hers. As Simon locked the box back, they heard one of the men get up. Simon grabbed her and they went behind the tent. They squatted down low and peeked around. One of the men had gotten up to pee. They held their breath in the dark, waiting. Cammie was sure the beat of her heart was loud enough for the man to hear.
When the man went back inside his tent, she took a step to follow Simon and accidentally stepped on a large twig. The loud crack sounded through the silent, night air. She froze. They heard someone else come out of their tent. Simon grabbed her hand and pulled her into the mine shaft to hide. The mine was damp with an earthy smell. Tracks with rickety old carts lined the middle of the tunnel. On the opposite side of them were dirt-covered shovels, buckets and round shifters. Damn! They would be on their way back to the huts right now if she had not stepped on that stupid twig.
They pressed their bodies flat to the rock wall as they listened. When the voices got closer, Simon took her hand and pulled her farther into the mine. Her feet sunk down into the deep mud. She felt gritty gravel at the bottom of the sludge.Thank goodness, they were equipped with boots and night vision goggles. They went a little deeper into the mine.
Simon stopped to listen. Men’s voices carried through the tunnel. “Shit! I think we’re going to have to find another way out. We don’t have much time to get out of here. If they check the box and see the red diamond is missing, they’ll search the area. We need them to think one of their own stole the diamond.”
Cammie wanted to cry. Why did she even come? Now they were both in danger. She pressed her lips together to hold in the emotion that threatened to escape.
Simon put his hands on her shoulders. “We’re going to find a way out, okay? I need you to trust me.” She swallowed and nodded. Afraid for both their lives, she followed him with her feet growing heavy from the wet mud that now clung to her boots and pants. The air was thick the farther they went, making it difficult to breathe.
“Look.” Simon pointed to a round opening in the ground to the right of them. It must have been ten feet wide and twenty feet deep. The bottom of the pit looked like gravel. He took out a small flashlight and shined it down into the hole. She looked down at what she had thought was gravel. Among the little rocks was what looked like dirty chunks of ice.
“Diamonds.” Various shapes and sizes mixed in with worthless rocks. He shut the flashlight off and they continued through.
Cammie stepped on something crunchy. She looked down and screamed. Simon put his hand over her mouth. He looked down to see what caused her alarm.
“Is that human?” she asked, looking down at half a rib cage.
He hugged her tight. “I think so. Come on, I’m getting you out of here.” There was a small path to their left. Simon stopped. “I feel air. This way.” The opening was so narrow they had to turn sideways to get through.
Ten minutes later, they were out of the mine somewhere in the jungle. Cammie inhaled a big gulp of the fresh air as Simon took off his backpack. She watched him dig through the supplies with his light.
“Here it is.” He held up a compass. “Do you need a drink?” He handed her the canteen.
“Yes, but I think I need something stronger than water right now.” She took a drink anyway and handed it back to him.
“We’re okay. We need to head east. We should only be about an hour out of our way.”
Cammie nodded and tried to be brave even though she was sweaty, dirty and sick of being courageous. Her pants were damp and her night vision goggles were heavy. The bugs in the jungle were having a feast on her skin. Somehow, she never pictured this part of stealing a diamond. The wild noises of the inhabitants echoed around them. She did not want to shoot an animal, but she would if they decided she looked tasty.
They moved swiftly through the darkness toward the huts. By the time they got back, she was out of breath. She jumped in the jeep, relieved.
Simon gave her a quick kiss. “You were amazing. Now let’s get out of here.”

Murder, jealousy and treasure…
When Cammie Adams, determined novice PI, gets an urgent call from her ex, she is compelled to take his case. Miles, a luxury hotel owner and an upstanding citizen of Upton Hills, finds one of the maids dead. He turns to Cammie for help to keep his beloved hotel from being tarnished. With her partner and boyfriend, Simon, she takes on a case that might just be their last. Her ex’s hotel is an eighty-year-old building that has secrets of its own.Can they catch the murderer to save the hotel and her ex’s reputation or will the case take a turn that will leave them lost forever?
Simon looked at her and brushed the wet hair over that was clinging to her face. His hazel eyes stared deep into hers. “When I thought even for one second that I could lose you, I didn’t like it.”
She smiled at him. “You weren’t even worried about that hunk of gold.”
This brought back the fun loving guy she knew. “Thanks for reminding me that he got away with the gold.” He smirked.
“He won’t get away with this. My father will find us and we’ll get it back,” she said, looking out to the never ending water.
Simon scooped up a handful of sand and let the grains slowly slip out of his fingers, reminding her of an hourglass. “I don’t want to alarm you, but how will your father find us? He’s on his honeymoon and doesn’t even know we’re missing.”
“I have faith.” She wrapped her arms around him and kissed his cheek. “Besides there’s no one I’d rather be missing on a deserted island with.”
He touched the tip of her nose. “I’ve had some experience with living in the wild. We’ll survive.” She knew he was referring to the month he had spent camping out in the South African jungle. If he could survive in a jungle, an island with white sandy beaches and palm trees should be no problem.
“I know.”
Simon looked around. “We need to gather some wood for a fire before dark.”
She followed him along the edge of the trees to help him find some drift wood to burn. They gathered wood, small dried leaves and sticks, then carried it all back to the beach.
“Are your clothes still wet?” Simon asked.
“A little.”
Simon took off his shirt and pants. “We should take off our clothes and lay them in the sun so they can dry before nightfall.”
She stripped down to her bra and panties. At least if she only had one set of underwear they were high quality. She giggled. “I feel like we’re Adam and Eve.”
Simon smiled. “Does that mean you are going to tempt me with your forbidden fruit?”
She laughed and playfully slapped his arm.
“I’ll get a fire started. If you want you can grab as many of those fallen palm branches as you can. We’ll sleep on those tonight.”
“Okay.” She went over and started gathering the branches. By the time she got as many as she could carry, Simon had started a small fire. She was relieved to see the flame. They would be in total darkness as soon as the sun went down.
“I’m going to get more sticks for a bed. See if you can find any sharp shells and shells that could be used to drink out of.”
She walked barefoot on the hot, gritty sand. At least their clothes would be dry soon. The night air would get chilly. Someone had to find them. A couple of days on a deserted island with Simon would not be so bad, like a vacation really. If it turned into weeks or months that terrified her.
There were lots of broken shells. She took what looked to be the strongest and sharpest. Finding some that could be used as a cup was not as easy. Each time she picked up what she thought was a whole shell, once pulled out of the sand, proved to be another broken one. She continued to look, until her back hurt from bending over so much. Finally, she found two that were good enough to use as small cups. If only they had water or even better, sweet tea.
She looked down at a crab crawling along the sand. “Simon, I think I found some food!”
“Seafood, good job.” He picked up the crab and took it over to the fire. As their food cooked, they put on their dry clothes.
“I found some coconut trees. I need to climb up to get some. We need something to drink until we can find fresh water in the morning.”
She was nervous as she watched him scale the tree. She would not know how to help him or survive if he got hurt. He told her to look out, so she moved over. Three coconuts fell to the ground. Simon climbed back down like a monkey. He beat them open with a sharp rock he had found. As the sun set they ate cooked crab and drank coconut milk. Not bad.
Simon had managed to build them a temporary shelter for the night. Some sticks and leaves would at least keep them from sleeping on the ground. She snuggled up to Simon as the cool breeze blew. He protectively wrapped his arms around her. She felt tired and dirty.
“Are you okay, sweetheart?”
“Yes,” she lied.

Spies, weddings and new beginnings…

Ready to get back to work after a long leave from their PI business, Simon Fisher and Cammie Adams take the first case that comes their way. Someone is selling company secrets and it’s up to them to find the spy. But when they get their answer, they uncover much more than espionage.
After attending recent family weddings, Simon has become an expert at dodging Cammie’s hints about giving her a certain piece of jewelry he has always secretly feared. Simon doesn’t know how long he’ll be able to keep his girlfriend satisfied without giving her the one thing she still desires.
As they work their case, will Simon and Cammie discover another fortune or will they see that the greatest treasure of all is the one they already have… love?
“All you found was a designer thong?” Cammie asked, disappointed and a little disturbed that Simon had seen another woman’s skimpy underwear. Not that he had not seen plenty of panties before he had met her—it was no secret that he used to be quite the playboy.
“Yes, I searched his entire apartment. Either Ted’s a player or in a relationship with a rich woman who can’t keep track of her panties.” Simon smirked.
“We’ll have to keep closer tabs on Marcy and Paxton. Maybe what the other employees suspect is true.”
Cammie filled Leo’s cat dish with more dry food. His soft fur rubbed against her as he weaved in and out of her legs. Leo had warmed up to them. Even though he still had a wild streak, he was affectionate. Cammie reached down to pet his butterscotch colored head. He purred a thank you as his tail wrapped around her leg.
Standing behind her, Simon placed his hands on her hips and pressed his body into hers.
“We need to take advantage of having the house to ourselves.”
She felt the warmth spread through her body until her lower half tingled, begging to be touched. No matter how many times they had made love, every time excited her just as much as the first. She turned to look into his seductive, hazel eyes. He lifted her up on the counter and she wrapped her legs around him as he removed her shirt.
They had moved from the kitchen to the shower, where Simon got one of his hunches about the case. His ideas could come at bizarre times. He had decided they needed to go check out Wentworth’s competitor. Maybe they could save some time if they were to find a connection with one of the employees in the Douglas building and the best time to break in would be in the middle of the night. Cammie had grabbed a black T-shirt and a pair of jeans in a rush to check out Simon’s hunch. Instead of spooning in bed, they were on their way to Douglas advertising.
Simon pulled the SUV into the dark parking lot. Douglas Advertising was not as big as Wentworth, but close to it. He parked in the back row of the lot where the security camera could not reach. Cammie tucked her long hair up into a black beret.
Simon disarmed the alarm system with an ease that still amazed her. Once inside the building, Cammie walked over to the receptionist desk. She shined her flashlight on the appointment book sitting on the desktop. Something had to lead them to their spy. She flipped through the pages with her gloved finger. Her heart raced when she saw Marcy Webber’s name. Marcy’s appointment had been a job interview with Douglas. Compelling, but that did not necessarily prove her to be the spy. Cammie took a digital image of the page. Simon came up behind her and touched her shoulder.
“Did you find anything in Douglas’ office?” she asked, hopeful.
“I don’t know. There was a name written on a piece of stationery that seemed out of place.” Simon showed her the rose colored paper. A letter D was embossed in gold. The only thing that was written was the name Daisy in black ink.
She held the thick paper between her fingers. “It looks pretty and expensive. Where was it?”
Simon motioned her back to the office he had been inside. He opened the top drawer of Douglas’ desk. “It was hidden under the organizer.” He carefully put the stationery back where he had found it.
“It is interesting, but may not have anything to do with our case. She could just be his mistress.”
Simon nodded. “Probably. Did you find anything?”
Cammie showed him the image she had taken. “Marcy’s appointment here was a job interview. It was written in the receptionist’s appointment book.”
Simon turned his head to the file cabinet. “Let’s check to see if Marcy’s on their payroll.”
Cammie nodded. After searching all the employee files, Marcy was looking less like a suspect. They did not come across Paxton, Jason, Miles or Ted’s names either.
“I’m not sure what to make of this,” Cammie said, as she followed Simon back outside to arm the alarm system.
“Things are always more complicated than anticipated, which is what makes this job so fun.”

TOUR-EXCERPT

The moon shone bright over a crystal clear lake. Thousands of stars were reflected, like floating diamonds sparkling. The breeze blew gently through red cedar, pine, and maple. The clean mountain air reminded him of camping with his family when he was a boy.
It had been so long since he had the liberty, and desire, to enjoy nature. The water called to Devlin. Carefully, without a sound, he pulled the clothes from his body and placed them on the stump beside him.
With a slow breath, he walked into the gentle ripples, creating larger crests of his own. Warm water greeted him. He dove under, swimming deeper.
A splash caught Devlin’s attention. He broke the surface to find nothing, and no one. Closing his eyes, he reached out with his senses. A lone werewolf was close.
Panic flared through him, and he started for the shore, but a woman surfaced before him. A slow smile spread on her face when he flailed back, splashing her in his surprise.
“Your heart’s pounding.” Amusement sparkled in her pale blue topaz eyes as she placed one small hand over his chest. Warmth washed through him offering a calm he couldn’t remember ever feeling.
Yet, he was terrified the Dales were tracking him. A dream, nothing more than a dream. They can’t find me, he reminded himself.
“You startled me,” Devlin replied.
“Hmm.” Her foot brushed against his calf, sending a shiver through his entire body. She tapped her finger to her chin. “You remind me of someone, but I can’t figure out who.”
Intrigued, and certainly heading toward aroused, he asked, “What makes you say that?”
One corner of her shiny pink mouth lifted impishly. “Don’t know, but you do.” Her voice had taken on a husky purr which effectively made his blood pump faster.
A dream, just a dream, he told himself. Then he did something bold, something he hadn’t done in so long he was sure he’d fail, even in a fantasy. “What’s a sweet little wolf like you doing out here all alone?”
Her giggle was melodic as her already dazzling eyes lit up. “Looking for love in all the wrong places.”
As if on cue, his resistance broke. Her tiny waist fit perfectly in his hands, her hips flared in a way that made him groan. Devlin propelled them closer to the shore, until his feet touched bottom.
Before he could make his move, her legs locked around his hips and her fingers caressed up his shoulder and neck to delve into his hair. She grazed her lips over his. Afraid to take things too far, he slid his hands up her back, pressing her full breasts against his chest.
Needing more of her taste, he deepened their kiss. Devlin felt more alive than he could remember. A dream, just a blasted dream, his brain chimed in. The knowledge didn’t stop him from sweeping his tongue into her mouth when she opened to him.
Her body undulated in tune with his, and her heated core slid against his hardened length. The urge to bury himself in her was too much.
Pulling back, he panted, “Your name? Need your name, Precious.”
“Precious?” She licked her lips as she stared back at him with something like awe in her big blue eyes.
He tipped his forehead to hers and breathed in her wild but seductive scent. “You’ve set me free of my old life. You’ve given me something to look forward to.” He didn’t know where the words came from, but he didn’t dare take them back. They felt right.
“Jamie Abrams. You better come to me.” There was a command hidden in her sweet sassy voice, one he truly wanted to obey. “I’ll be waiting.”
He nodded, rolling her name through his head like a fine wine over his tongue.
