2 Roses – Romance

Honestly this book is not one for the romance shelf, instead it’s a warming tale that consisted of building friendships and coming to terms with one’s decisions in life.

Kendal made a haunting decision 4 years ago that will eventually impact not only her life but the lives of her son and her baby daddy’s to.  The consequences of this decision later leaves her feeling guilty and unable to move forward.   She still loves him, her first.. her only true love.

Jax is left devastated at Kendal’s decision to end their passionate love affair of nearly 2 years and the closure that he needs to move on never came to pass.  Although he made it big and is riding high on his Rock Star status he is left unfulfilled and empty inside.  He misses her, his one and only love, the one that got away.

3 – Hearts for Friends

Friendships are depicted in detail and their loyalty to each other is very touching.  Kendal’s friends literally have her back as they travel with her through her journey of grief and pain.  It’s very refreshing to find her ‘boyfriends’ portrayed more as her ‘brothers’ instead of lusting after her,  they continue to protect her and I admire that old school charm the author gives them.

Finley was very sweet in this story and I can’t wait to read more about him.  His innocence is enough to tug at my heartstrings and I cannot wait to see if and when he meets his Rock-Star Daddy.  I have mixed emotions about how Kendal handled this defining moment in her life, although I see her point in the decision, I also see how this affects Jax’s life.  She later sees the error of her ways now that Finley is growing up without his father in his young life.

Will Kendal and Jax find their HEA?  Will they ever come together as a family?  I can’t wait to find out in Rockstar’s Girl!
