Synopsis

Leila Marino’s biggest dream is to become a rock star. A lucky opportunity has her auditioning with an up & coming rock band named Devil’s Lair. The band hires Leila as their back-up singer, signing her up for months in the studio and touring on the road with the sexy bunch.

5 Rock-Star Roses – Romance

Starting this story I was immediately skeptical, I thought what am I doing reading another Rock-Star romance.  Thank goodness I kept reading, this is not a typical run of the mill, trending Rock Star Love Story.  This was an intense emotional build-up of friends becoming lovers.  The commentary from the band members and friends were hilarious, sweet and charming enough to keep me burning through the chapters.

5 hearts – Friends becoming Lovers

The sexual angst between these two kept me enthralled, I desperately wanted these two to connect at once.  I’m pleased that they did not immediately fall into bed with one another at first glance.  Instead it was a slow build up of friendship and respect between one another, the ‘getting to know each other’, phase was smart, clever and witty.

Who would have thought Jack Lair a totally hawt hunk-a-rock-star would have smarts, I mean, a man-whore with a brain?   Loved it! This talented and sexy artist thinks he has it all, groupies, parties, success… until he meets a little spitfire of a back-up singer that rocks him off his game.

Then we have sexy career minded Leila Marino, extremely talented in her vocal abilities and driven to succeed.  Her one shot at stardom appears in the up and coming rock band, Devil’s Lair.  She’s always had a little thing and a big old crush on his holy hawtness and prepares to defend her feelings while holding back her sex starved cravings.

5 – Mocca Chocolata YaYa Lips

This book had me licking my lips until they were chapped with all its sexual tension and the steamy, erotic love scenes had me squirming around in my seat.  The emotional feelings this couple showed in every touch and kiss they shared was enough to have me dreaming of my own Mr. Sandman.

All in all this was a fantastic read and I found the friendship to lovers buildup was very gratifying.  In the end I found getting to know one another and building a solid foundation of respect is the only way to grow together and learn to love one another.  Insta-Love in the real world might be possible but is just not realistic and frankly does not last.  Instead we read about a kinship of friends building a refreshing tale of a love that last till the end of time.
